"I can't take it anymore...I'm gonna die..."
You had to agree with Luffy's statement. A few days later after sailing on some unknown and colorful sea, you were now stuck inside a cycle of hot temperatures that nearly dried you up on the spot. Almost everyone on board looked like a mummy, your captain being the worst. The guys were currently trying to fish some food, but in those steamy waters, you dreaded what you could find there.
"I can't stand the heat...I wish I could take off this fur skin..." panted Chopper.
"We're like you...We Minks have low tolerance for heat" added Pedro.
"It's really hot. I'm gonna become a mummy...A mummy...A mummy?...Nami-san, if I become a mummy, it'd be a little bit of a resurrection for me, isn't it?" wondered Brook.
"I don't care" she replied from where she was laying under the shade of a tree with Pekoms and Carrot.
"In that case, may I see your panties?"
"I have no energy even to smack you"
"I'm so hungry and it's hot..." whined the rabbit Mink.
"We're out of food and we couldn't fish because it'd been stormy for days and finally it's clear" you sighed. "Catch some fish somehow before the weather changes!"
"We wanna do so but (y/n)...The water is boiling because it's too hot!" stated Chopper in tears. "There won't be any fish around then"
"What should we do?!" Nami whimpered, falling backward.
The reindeer blinked as he felt a sudden shudder shake his whole body. His eyes wandered to Luffy who was glaring at him silently, sweat rolling down his forehead.
"...Emergency food..." the ebony male simply said.
"DON'T LOOK AT ME!"
That's when Luffy's float began to move rapidly, signalling that he got a bite. Your captain tried to reel back in the fish, finding it a bit difficult to do so. A large shadow appeared next to the ship, and it was so huge that it made the Sunny tilt a bit. You quickly went to help the young man, gripping the fishing rod and pulling it.
You managed to get the fish inside the boat, earning loud and tired cheers from your comrades. Unfortunately, as you examined the beast closer, you thought its colors didn't seem right. You weren't even sure if it was okay to eat it.
"I know that Sanji-kun has an encyclopedia on fishes across the Grand Line. Chopper, could you fetch it for me?" you asked.
"Aye!" he replied, before running in the direction of the boys' room.
"Can't we eat it, (y/n)?" wondered Nami, tilting her head questioningly.
"It's pretty doubtful..."
"What are you saying?! There's no such thing as an inedible fish!" shouted in outrage Luffy, and you deadpanned at him.
"Poison. Poison fishes" you emphasized your tone on the first word, even though you knew it was impossible for Luffy to make the difference since he was a complete idiot.
Your eyes widened when the boy didn't listen to you and decided to have a bite, sinking his teeth into the flesh of the fish. Chopper also took this moment to return on the deck with a panicked look, holding the book close to his chest:
"Luffy!Watch out for its skin! The skin of that fish is extremely poisonous!-..." he let out a scream when he saw his captain tearing and eating a slice of skin.
"....Oops, I ate it"
"YOU IDIOT!" you snarled at his stupidity.
"But I'm good as new. Is it really highly poisonous?" Luffy inquired.
Everyone watched as the young man fell backward, eyes rolling in the back of his head. You supposed that it answered his question. Chopper began to panic and ran in the infirmary to treat the idiotic captain before the poison could kill him. Unfortunately, you were running out on herbs at the moment, and you couldn't look for them since you were about to reach Big Mom's territory.
"There are some islands in the area around the Whole Cake Island. I'd say Black-Foot and the others have passed through those islands and reached the Whole Cake Island by now" told Pekoms.
"We can't lower our guard, guys..." you murmured, and blinked when a fog engulfed the whole ship.
It began to snow, but this substance didn't correspond to in any way. They tasted like sugar, and were fluffy to the touch, like cotton candy. Chopper eagerly ran around the Sunny to catch this snow as much as he could. Even Carrot couldn't contain herself as she bounced around the deck.
"I see something!" Pedro yelled from the top of the mast. "A ship is coming toward us!"
"What?! Did they find us already?!" you cried out in surprise.
"That's probably a TARTE, one of our scout ships" Pekoms sweated, running to the edge of the railing to gaze at the horizon.
You couldn't see it clearly because of the fog, but there was indeed a huge ship coming in your direction. The Mink yelled at you to take Luffy and hide yourself, until he began to decipher the strange form of the ship: it looked like a giant Den-Den Mushi, with the number '66' written on it. On the snail's back was strong fortifications. A hooded figure approached slowly to stand next to the railing, gazing down at your ship inquisitively.
"T-That's Germa 66's ship!" yelled Pekoms in shock.
"Germa? The organization led by Sanji's father?!" you said with wide eyes.
They furled the sails as they stopped by the Thousand Sunny. You caught a look of the hooded man with the number '4' written on his cape, and you were taken aback about how his face was similar to Sanji's, with the same curly eyebrow. However, there was something off about him.
"E-Eh?! Sanji?! Sanji!!!" Chopper sobbed.
"Oh, that twirly eyebrow! It's Sanji-san!" enriched Brook.
"Sanji-kun!!" Nami waved enthusiastically. "I didn't expect to see you this soon!"
"How lucky we are..." Pedro mused.
"Oi, Sanji! We have a problem! Luffy got poisoned by eating fish and is dying! Is there any antidote on that ship?! Sanji!" pleaded the reindeer as the man remained unresponsive. "Are you listening, Sanji?!"
"Stop calling me 'Sanji'! You got the wrong person!" told gruffly the man, lifting his hood to show his green and curly hair. "Well, of course I look like him. My name is Yonji!"
"Yonji?!"
"Not San(three)-ji, but Yon(four)-ji?! He resembles him and has twirly eyebrows but he's not him?!" cried out Chopper.
"My relationship with your friend Sanji is a secret of secrets. It's absolutely confidential!" continued Yonji, making you all sweatdrop.
"He's definitely his younger brother..." you all thought at the same time.
You deadpanned when his gaze wandered to you and Nami, watching as his eyes turned into hearts. Steam came out of his nostrils, limbs becoming noodle-like.
"CUTIES! SO SEXY!" he exclaimed, spouting more out incomprehensible things as he danced on the railing.
"....Are you really not Sanji?!" sweated Chopper.
"While they are both perverts, Sanji-kun is more decent than that guy..." you groaned (A/N: Wait until Wano, though).
A soldier approached Yonji from behind, whispering something along the lines of Sanji not being on board of your ship and how they certainly missed him. His younger brother nodded his head at the soldier's words, and went to retreat back inside his ship. At that moment, Luffy let out a harsh cough, catching Chopper's attention.
"Oh no, a rash is breaking out all over his body!" panicked the doctor. "He's losing his resistance!"
"This poison is so severe! Luffy may have strong antibodies but it's..." trailed Nami worryingly, grasping his hand. "You have to stay with us!"
"Come on, it's just fish poison! I thought you were gonna be the King of the Pirates!" you snarled, kneeling by his side too.
"Please! You must have an antidote! We used all we got but he still needs more!" Chopper waved at Yonji.
"If you're Sanji-san's brother, please save Luffy-san!" enriched Brook as the younger brother pulled back his shades on.
"I'm sorry. I have no interest in saving people" replied cruelly Yonji. "Or do you wanna try and rob the medicine from us? Like pirates?"
"...What an asshole!" you exclaimed bluntly.
"He's totally different from Sanji-kun! Even though he likes girls too!" barked in turn Nami, a thick mark appearing on her forehead.
"Just say the word if you want me to kill him!" spoke Pedro, his hand already reaching for his sword.
"Stop being so stingy" a female voice echoed.
Yonji was harshly kicked in the face, sending him flying in the ocean. You were taken aback by this sudden attack, gazing at a woman dressed in pink. She had butterfly wings that allowed her to fly to your ship, where she graciously landed a few feet away from the laying form of your captain. She reminded you of a female version of Sanji, having the same curly eyebrow. Perhaps a sister of his.
"Hello. I'm sorry" she told smoothly with a smile on her pink lips. "My young brother is a cold-blooded jackass"
"No shit. Who the Realm of Hell are you?" you demanded, taking a defensive stance while she simply smirked.
"Younger brother? Is she his sister too?" wondered Chopper.
"She's gorgeous!" shouted the skeleton with hearts in his eye sockets.
"REIJU!" snarled angrily Yonji as he came out of the water, floating too above the sea. "You moron! How could you humiliate me?!"
"Shut up! You should be ashamed of yourself!" Reiju spat back.
"He's hovering the air" you noted, gazing at the way his boots were fabricated. "This is no Devil Fruit, but it looks different from Sanji-kun or CP9 members' special skills, too. That's not a skill he acquired through training"
"It's science. Germa 66 is a group of fighters who have honed themselves with science. They are a scientific fighting squad, if you will" explained Pekoms. "And Mama is looking to get that technology!"
"Eh?! He's using mechanical power to hover?!" wondered Chopper with starry eyes. "Cool!"
"Sanji-kun's family is unbelievable" murmured Nami.
"Pekoms-san, if I'm correct, Vinsmoke was...the name of a royal family, wasn't it?" inquired Brook. "If I remember right, it was a family that conquered the North Blue by force of arms long ago!"
"By 'royal family', you mean like Vivi and Neptune?'" Chopper turned to stare at the musician, stunned.
"What?! Are they such a prominent family?!" asked too Nami.
"That's right. They were synonymous with 'evil' in a past age. That's why they were used as models for the comic strip" said Pekoms.
"Skeleton-san, you have so much historical knowledge. But it's not just a story from the past. We're still a royal family" Reiju rectified. "Germa is a country without soil. We have no land to govern but we're given the right to attend the Reverie"
"Oh, I beg your pardon" Brook bowed down in front of her. "If that is so, may I see your panties?-"
"WILL YOU STOP IT ALREADY?!" you snarled, kicking Brook in the face.
"B-Broken bones..."
"Okay, now, can I have it?" Reiju walked close to Luffy, grinning down at him.
"Have what...?" Nami blinked, not really understanding where she was getting at.
"Looks like he ate an Armored-Stone Fish from the Boiling Sea, didn't he? How this venom works is unique. He must be greedy. It could even kill a Giant instantly"
"What?! Then, there's no way to save Luffy....?!" Chopper began to cry. "I shouldn't be a ship doctor anymore!"
"But this boy is lucky" the pink haired woman continued, kneeling down by his side. "Because this venom is...one of my favorite things!"
Your eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets when she leaned down and smooched Luffy, sucking the whole poison from his body. The others panicked next to you, while you remained flabbergasted by how daring she was. The purple rash that covered your captain was then transferred to Reiju, the butterfly wings of her bodysuit growing in sizes. She released the young man's mouth with a satisfying 'pop', humming delightedly as she stood back up.
"The rash is gone! But are you okay?!" the reindeer turned to face the woman who smiled.
"Yes, of course. I'm Poison Pink" Reiju mused as Luffy coughed when he was able to breathe properly again.
"Luffy!" cried in unison Carrot and Chopper, jumping to hug the confused male.
"Oh? Did I fall asleep while eating fish?" he wondered stupidly, earning himself a hit behind the head from your part.
"FAR FROM IT!" you spat.
"The skin was so good. Is there any left?"
"YOU WERE ON THE VERGE OF LIFE AND DEATH!" shouted the navigator, still flustered by the sudden action of Sanji's sister. "YOU GIVE US A LOT OF TROUBLE!"
"Oh, did I?" Luffy blinked, until his gaze fell on Reiju. "Sanji!?"
"She's a woman!" you slapped him.
"Oh, right. Who is this?"
"Luffy-san, she saved your life!" told an exasperated Brook.
"What? Thank you for...what again?"
Cue everyone to faceplant.
"Oh, so you're Sanji's sister!" Luffy exclaimed after Reiju made the introduction.
"Indeed. Sanji is one of us, the Vinsmoke Family" she told. "Our father parted from Sanji when he was a little kid and has been looking for him. When Sanji's wanted poster was circulated two years ago, our father immediately asked the Marine HQ to pursue him. But they found the wrong man - someone named Duval"
"Ah? That guy from the Flying Fish Riders who we met before Sabaody?..." said Chopper.
"The one who doesn't know how to wink?" you added, sweatdropping slightly. "What a small world..."
"It was only recently that the Government called us saying that they finally captured an image of Black-Foot Sanji amid the chaos evoked by the Straw Hats' comeback. Our father raised the bounty right away and made them change 'DEAD OR ALIVE' to 'ONLY ALIVE'...."
"That's why only Sanji-kun's poster was changed a little bit" said in recognition Nami.
"Where is Sanji now?" asked Luffy.
"I don't know. Maybe he's with Big Mom or with our father. We came to greet him but I think we missed each other" she shrugged, causing your captain to frown deeply. "Well, if he can attend the tea party, that's all that matters. And I got to see you guys too. Thank you for looking after my brother all this time"
"Sanji's sister! Thank you for saving my life" he stated before she left. "But...I still want Sanji back! He's my friend! I'm gonna take back Sanji at any cost!"
Reiju slowly turned her head to stare at Luffy, a small smile appearing on her lips while he kept staring at her defiantly. Yonji who was back on the ship cleared his throat, glaring down at Pekoms:
"Oi, you're Pekoms from the Big Mom Pirates, right? Why are you with the Straw Hats?"
"I have my own reason! Why do I have to explain to you guys?! Grr!" spat the lion Mink. "There's no bond between us yet!"
"You're right!" Reiju exclaimed before suddenly jumping from the Sunny to her ship, landing beside her younger brother. "I'll pretend that I didn't see anything for now"
"Yeah, we don't wanna cause trouble and break off our brother's marriage" added Yonji. "We'd best all tread lightly. Unanchor the ship. Let's go back"
The Germa battleship deployed its sails, taking back its route to the tea party of Big Mom. After they were gone, Chopper examined Luffy's body once more to make sure he didn't have any trace of poison left in there.
"I'm kind of hungry again! Should I fish again?" Luffy grinned.
"NO!" barked the navigator, but calmed herself down. "That's what I'm supposed to say, but we're still in a food crisis"
"Don't worry. We'll see an island soon" Pekoms assured. "There are a total of 34 islands around the Whole Cake Island. There are 34 ministers, one for each island, to run the place. They call this vast marine area Totto Land. We're already in the area, so why don't you disguise yourself?!"
"There's another incoming ship!" warned Pedro.
"Oh, maybe Reiju-san's clan is coming back!" sighed dreamily the skeleton.
"No, this time, it's surely one of our TARTEs! Our scout ship! I told you to be ready! You guys, hide in the cabin! If they find you, it's gonna be trouble!"
"Pekoms-san, are you going to be okay?"
"If Germa didn't alert them, it's gonna be okay. Hurry up!"
You all went to hide inside the ship while the TARTE escorted the Sunny to the closest island. From there, Pekoms made his report, lying about how he hijacked the ship from a pirate group and that he will present it to Big Mom as a surprise gift for the wedding. Carrot couldn't hide herself any longer as she wanted to see the island, Pedro stopping her from doing so.
"I wanna see!" the Mink whined.
"Just a little more patience!" Brook hushed.
"...Where are Luffy and Chopper?" Pedro suddenly asked, noticing the doctor and the captain's absences.
"......................................................."
"I don't see them" Carrot stated the obvious, making you facepalm. Hard.
"Don't tell me they set foot on the island already!"
"WHAT DO YOU THINK?!" you yelled.
