Hey guys!
Are you excited as I am for the short film coming out this Friday?!?!?
So I know this chapter is a little smaller than my others however it includes details you would need to remember for the next couple because this book has only just began.
😈😉😏
Jane's POV
I sighed, sitting outside my mother's office.
I can't be in there right now.
All they talk about is how to get Mal back and what spell or potion was put on her.
What they don't realise that because Mal and I are both magical, there is a highly likely chance the spell/potion could effect me.
I'm not worried for myself.
I just want Mal to be okay.
Whatever she's under, she had tried to fight.
But no one is listening to me.
They're thinking about all the possibilities that could happen if we don't fix her.
We don't even know the source!
They're only thinking about the negatives.
Suddenly I sensed a strong disturbance in the air.
I stood up, very confused.
What was that?
It seemed like a dark-
"Mal?" I asked, looking around "I know you're here; I can sense your magic"
"Are you sure it's just that?"
I looked behind a pillar to see Mal, leaning on the pillar and smirking at me.
"Only if you have heard the most recent events" I replied back.
Mal rolled her eyes, which were abnormally a bright green.
"That I'm soulmates with you now?" She asked "Definitely heard about that, my love told me straight away"
I looked at her confused.
"Love?" I echoed
Mal chuckled.
"Yes my love and I have been...together for a long time" Mal replied.
She smiled.
Not an innocent smile.
Like a cold one.
A one that literally says 'I will murder you in your sleep'.
An insane one.
"Well that is none of your concern now is it?" She asked.
She walked over to me and touched my face.
Her cold skin brushed my cheek.
She made a small laugh.
"Why aren't you calling for help?" Mal asked.
"Because I don't need it" I replied back.
"Ha, you have nerve" she snapped.
Then she smirked.
"The madness as already began" Mal whispered and teleported off.
I just stood there, in the abnormally silent hall.
Mal must be under some kind of potion.
One that also controls her feelings.
Because whoever is controlling her, must love her.
And it's definitely not Ben or Harry.
Or Maleficent.
I widen my eyes as I realised something.
Ben said Mal's eyes are Emerald green when they're at their best.
But Mal's eyes is a lime green now.
Jay's POV
I was looking around the forbidden section of the libary, trying to see if there's any spells or potions that could have effected Mal.
We don't have a lot to work off of, only Harry's and Evie's opinion on what they saw.
And they said she looked completely normal.
Just her aura is colder and she's more harsh than ever before.
Who is doing this?
And why do this to Mal?
I groaned, banging my head against the table.
This is getting me no where!
I don't even know what I'm looking for.
This is useless.
I sighed and continued looking at the book I was reading about spells about changing appearance.
"Carlos? Are you still here somewhere?" I asked.
Carlos was with me but left to go to the toilet about 20 minutes ago.
"Yeah, I'll be there in a sec" he replied.
I sighed with relief.
Good.
I didn't want anything happening to him.
I groaned, grabbing my head with annoyance.
I don't know what's happening to me.
This soulmate thing is messing with my head this time.
It didn't with Jane.
But why with Carlos?
I've only seen him as a younger brother.
Someone to look out for.
This is going to strain our relationship.
Really bad.
"Hey Jay"
I smiled as I noticed Carlos sat in front of me across the table.
I looked up quickly to see him smirking at me.
"What?" I asked as I looked down at my book.
"I...just noticed the beauty of Auradon through the view" Carlos whispered.
He chuckled darkly.
"But it's also pain and suffering"
I looked at him confused.
He was looking away from me.
"Carlos?" I asked "Dude, you're freaking me out he-"
"Brother will make sure that this place will burn to the ground" Carlos said like I wasn't there.
"Brother?" I asked "Since when did you have a-"
Carlos snapped his head towards me and the first thing I noticed was his eyes.
They weren't their normal brown.
It was lime green.
Carlos smirked, which did not match his face.
"My brother found me after so many years" Carlos said "And I am thanking him from saving me by helping him"
"Helping him with what?" I asked "Carlos you're not making any-"
"Sense?" Carlos asked and then laughed "There's nothing wrong with a little madness"
"Carlos, you're being controlled. Fight i-"
"Fight what?" Carlos asked "Fight my own brother? He is my family and I will not fight him"
"Then why fight us?" I asked, standing up "Carlos please"
"You need to plead more" Carlos says "It makes you weaker than you already are"
And he disappeared, leaving me speechless.
