Mal's POV
I sighed as this came on.
I hope I'm not one.
I really want someone else to take it if I do get chosen.
"Mal!" Evie said as she came up to me "IT'SSSSS TIME!"
"Yay" I exclaimed sarcastically.
She just rolled her eyes.
The announcer, which happened to be Belle, smiled at all of us.
"First of all I would like to welcome you all to this years Auradon Prep formal!" She said, making us cheer "I also would like to welcome our special guests from the Isle; Uma, Harry Hook, Anthony Tredmaine, Harriet Hook, CJ Hook and Freddy Facilier"
Some cheers were heard.
"We will treat them with the same respect you would treat myself, is that clear?" She said in a deadly tone.
"Yes Queen Belle" rang through the castle.
"Okay, now let's get to the good part!" Belle said "The rules are as simple; early this week you placed your vote on who you would like to be an Auradon Prep Royal. Whoever has the most quotes get to come up here. However, only seniors are capable of getting these roles. If you are selected and aren't already an royal ruling such as King Ben or Mal, then you can have some privileges to that role if you don't use it for bad"
She took a break.
I think she meant Audrey in that.
"Okay..." Belle said "The prince is a guy who is very sporty and is a guy everyone loves. He is very loyal to his friends and family and will do anything to keep them safe...Auradon Prince is Jay, Son of Jafar!"
I smiled as Jay went onto stage and had the crown placed on his head.
"Anything you would like to say?" Belle asked.
"Thank you for the people who voted, it is a privilege to be voted as your Auradon Prep prince!" He said, making everyone cheer.
"Okay, now for princess of Auradon" Belle said "This girl has come through a lot over the last year in an unknown area of the Untied states of Auradon. She has learnt new things and I'm sure she will make an excellent queen...Auradon Princess is Mal, daughter of Maleficent"
I whinced as Evie screamed.
"Go up there!" She said and I walked up there.
She put the beautiful tiara on my head.
"Anything to say dear?" Belle asked.
I nodded.
"Thank you for this honour, I am thankful that I have such great peers around me. I must thank my boyfriend Ben, for giving me an opportunity like this in the first place" I said, looking at Ben.
The crowd cheered.
I bowed and stood next to Jay.
"Good job" I whispered to him.
"You too" he said.
"And now the Auradon King!" Belle said "This person is someone who is nothing but helpful to everyone. He is very smart and kind and caring towards his friends, business and girlfriend...Auradon Prince is Doug, son of Dopey!"
Evie squealed next to me and hugged Doug.
He looked as shocked as he walked onto the stage and got a crown placed on his head
(Doug's outfit + crown)
Belle put the crown on his head
"Doug, would you like to say anything?" Belle asked.
Doug nodded nervously.
"Thank you for those who voted for me, this is a complete shock and I am more than honoured" Doug said, making everyone clap.
"Now for the Auradon Queen" Belle said "This person over the year has changed. Since the Isle kids came she has gotten out of her shell and become a beautiful women and will become a successful future fairy godmother...Auradon Queen is Jane, Daughter of the Fairy Godmother"
Everyone cheered as a girl I didn't recognise came on stage and accept the crown.
(Jane's dress + hair [which is brown] + crown)
I heard the crying of Audrey, making me chuckle on the inside.
"Anything you could like to say?" Belle asked.
"Thank you" Jane said "This year as been a roller coaster for me and I would like to thank my friends, especially Evie and Mal for helping me come out my shell into the person I have become today...this is a massive honour"
We all clapped.
"May I present to you the royals of-"
Suddenly the lights went out, making everyone but me scream.
"Am I too late to the party?"
The lights came back on to reveal my mother standing in front of us.
"Hello Auradon, I'm back!" She said, making me groan.
She turned to me and looked disgusted.
"Hello Mother, what do you want?" I asked as I stood in front of Doug, Jay, Jane, Belle and Beast to protect them.
"What is that dress your wearing? I need to change that" she said and she clicked her fingers.
Green smoked covered me.
When it cleared many gasps were heard as my dress and hair completely changed.
(As I will say again: Mal's hair is purple for this)
"Now that's better isn't it?" My mother said "Now-"
"Leave" Beast said "Or I'll-"
"What? What is it with your stupid threats? When will you realise that it doesn't do anything to a villain like me?" My mother said "Now as I was saying, I need to curse a few people"
"Why?" I asked.
"Oh pumpkin, when will you realise the methods to my madness?" She asked and smirked "Goodbye!"
And I blacked out
Ben's POV
I panicked when Mal collapsed on stage with her mother laughing.
"MAL!" I exclaimed, my body throbbing.
Suddenly Evie, Carlos, CJ, Harry, Harriet, Uma, Chad, Lonnie, Audrey, Freddy, Anthony and myself were teleported to the stage.
I quickly went to Mal, trying to wake her up.
She's so cold.
"What did you do?" I growled.
Maleficent laughed.
"Oh its seems since you and Mal are soulmates, that you inherited some of her powers...well thats if she survives this"
I stood up again and my hands were covered in a green flame like Mal's is.
"Maleficent remove your curse or I swear-"
"Oh the party's only begin Benny boy, you just need to wait and see the effects on her" Maleficent said, smirking before she vanished.
I suddenly felt dizzy.
"Ben? BEN!"
And I blacked out with the sound of my friend's concerned voices.
