Author's Note: This is of course from the episode 'Naked' where Quinn heads to New York to talk Rachel out of doing the topless scene. I hope you enjoy this episode.

I arrived back in New Haven a few days before school was about to begin when I got a phone call that changed my plans. "Hello?" I answered. "Quinn...hi," Kurt said in a nervous tone. "Is everything okay?" I chuckled a bit. "No..it's not," Kurt said seriously. "What's going on?" I asked seriously. "It's Rachel....she's considering doing a topless scene for a student film," Kurt sighed. "Wait what?" I said shocked "I thought she was so against doing nudity." "Apparently she's had a change of heart," Kurt said as I shook my head. "This is not good at all," I said upset. "I know...that's why I called you," Kurt said. "You think I could stop her?" I asked surprised "I don't think I really have that power over her." "All I know is when Rachel was at her lowest you were a really good friend to her Quinn. You were the only one who spoke up besides me about Finn and Rachel's wedding being the wrong move for them," Kurt said. "It would've been. Especially now that Rachel's seeming to want to throw away everything she used to be," I sighed. "I agree," Kurt said as he took a deep breath "Look I don't know if you can come out here but you have the Metro One Pass..." "I'll be there," I told him seriously. "Thanks Quinn," Kurt said "I'll see you soon." "See you soon," I smiled as I hung up the phone.

I quickly went online to buy myself a bus ticket to New York. Rachel needed me now more than ever. Little did I know I wasn't the only person Kurt had called in a panic.

I knocked on the door which Kurt answered. "Thank God you're both here now," Kurt said relieved. "Both here?" I asked confused as I entered their apartment to find Santana sitting there. "I should've known you'd come out to New York for Berry. You had that pass for months and you're finally using it. I bet you're not even going to see your kid while you're here," Santana snipped at me. "Nice to see you too Santana," I said shaking my head. "Look I've got to head my classes at NYADA this afternoon it'll just be you two and Rachel. Try not to kill each other," Kurt said. "No promises," Santana shrugged as Kurt left the apartment.

Shortly after Kurt left Rachel entered the apartment calling out "Kurt, the hipster from downstairs with the curlicue mustache wants to borrow your Russian hat," Rachel called in as she entered the apartment. She then spotted me and Santana. "Oh, my God! What are you doing here?" she asked excitedly. "Lady Hummel called, begging us to do an emergency intervention," Santana said coolly. "On who?" Rachel asked confused. "You," I said seriously. "Oh...sit down then," Rachel said as we took our seats with her.

"You guys came all the way to New York just to talk to me because Kurt called you?" Rachel asked confused "We're also here to shop," Santana said. "And we're here to apologize to Quinn for slapping her across the face very, very hard," I said looking at Santana. "In theory. We'll just see if that happens," Santana said rolling her eyes she then turned to Rachel "Rachel, you cannot do a nude scene." "It's not a nude scene, it's just a topless scene," Rachel argued. "Same thing," Santana scoffed "Topless is as nude as anyone is ever gonna want to see you."

I knew I had to take charge. After Santana pretty much insulted Rachel I knew I had to take a different approached. "Let's say you do it. Think about the 2-2-2 rule," I said to Rachel "In two weeks, how are you gonna feel about the nude scene?" "You'd probably feel pretty great," Santana shrugged. "Yeah," Rachel agreed. "You'll get to feel a nice, cool breeze on them skeeter bites, you'll feel refreshed, even," Santana smirked. "Then, how are you gonna feel about it two months from now?" I asked her. "I don't know," Rachel frowned "Nervous? Worried it may not even be good?" "Rachel, it's a student film. It's not gonna be good," Santana shot at Rachel. "And two years from now? How you gonna feel about it then?" I asked her. "Guilty," Rachel sighed "Just hoping my kids won't ever see it online." "Oh, they'll see it. Mm-hmm. And they will never be the same," Santana shot at Rachel.

"Okay, wait. Why am why am I even taking advice from you, okay? Didn't you have a sex tape that leaked online?" Rachel asked Santana. "Yes, I did. A sex tape that follows me around to this very day. Look my name up on the Internet right now," Santana said as Rachel did so. ""Santana Lopez, nude, lez, boobies, sex tape, Mexican or Dominican, question mark."," Rachel read. "Booyah. That will exist forever," Santana said. "But Santana, some women find it empowering to be naked on film," Rachel argued. "Yes, but not in a student film that is probably about someone's grandma with Alzheimer's," Santana shot at Rachel who looked defeated. "Look we care about you," I told her seriously. "And for once, Rachel, we actually have your best interests in mind," Santana said. "Please don't do it," I begged Rachel who seemed to think about what we had to say about this student film.

"I don't know guys...I really have to think about it," Rachel sighed. "We'll give you the time and space you need to figure out what you're going to do," I said to Rachel as I got up. Santana also got up "Rachel, trust me if you do this you are going to regret it," Santana said seriously to Rachel. "I don't know..." Rachel sighed. "What do you mean you don't know you..." Santana began as I cut her off. "Okay Santana let's just give her some space. Didn't you want to shop?" I asked as Santana huffed. "Fine," she said as she stormed out of Rachel's apartment. I looked back at Rachel pleadingly hoping that our conversation had really done something to stop her from making a decision that could come back to haunt her.

Unlike what Santana had said I was actually going to stop by Shelby's. I had told Shelby I was going to be in New York for a few days and asked if I would stop by which she graciously told me I could. I arrived at Shelby's apartment and knocked on the door. "MOMMY SOMEONE'S AT THE DOOR" I heard a little voice yell which I assumed was Beth. "I'm coming baby girl," Shelby laughed as she opened the door. "Quinn, it's good to see you," Shelby smiled a bit as she invited me inside. "You too," I smiled a bit. "Hi!" Beth grinned at me. I couldn't help but get emotional seeing her. She had gotten so big since the last time I saw her. She was almost 3. Time had definitely gone by. "Hi," I smiled a bit. "You were at my Princess Party!" Beth grinned remembering me. "You remember me?" I asked her as Beth nodded. "Beth loved your gift. She's always asking me about you," Shelby smiled a bit. I was surprised to hear that. "I made you a thank you card," she smiled handing me a hand-drawn card she had made. "She wanted to give it to you the next time she saw you," Shelby chuckled. "Aww thank you Beth, that's nice of you," I smiled. "You're welcome," she grinned as she took off to play with her dolls.

"She's gotten so big," I said shaking my head. "It's amazing how different they are after the first few years," Shelby smiled. "I know what you mean," I agreed. "Thank you for letting me come to visit. I know you didn't have to but it's just nice to have the chance to see Beth grow up," I said honestly. "I know how I felt after giving Rachel up. I wanted more than anything to know that she was okay. That's why I gave you and Puck the opportunity to see her," Shelby said honestly. "I appreciate it," I smiled. "I heard you got into Yale. That's pretty remarkable," Shelby said. "Yeah. I mean I always worked hard on my grades and Yale was always my dream school when I got my acceptance letter I couldn't help but feel overjoyed," I said. "I can imagine so. I tried with my dreams here in New York but I never became a success that is until I found out how much I loved teaching. I've been enjoying working at the Broadway daycare. I know much that felt like a dream come true so I'm happy for you Quinn," Shelby told me. "Thank you," I said. "You're welcome," Shelby said.

I spent the next few hours with her and Beth. It was nice to get a chance to spend time with my daughter. Beth only knew me as 'Quinn', someone who was a friend of her mom's. I hoped one day when she found out the truth she wouldn't hate me for giving her up. To me Beth deserved the world and that wasn't something I could give her. She seemed so happy with Shelby and that was all I could ask for.

The next afternoon Rachel called us to meet her in the auditorium to celebrate the fact that she wasn't going to be doing the nude scene. She had chosen the song 'Love Song' by Sara Bareilles for us to sing. "Convinced me to please you," Rachel sang as she entered the auditorium at NYADA where we were waiting of her. "Made me think that I need this too. I'm trying to let you hear me," Santana and Rachel sang. "As I am," I then joined in with them. "I'm not gonna write you a love song," Santana sang. "Cause you asked for it, cause you need one," Rachel and Santana sang. "You see, I'm not gonna write you a love song cause you tell me it's make or break in this if you're on your way. I'm not gonna write you to stay," I sang with Rachel and Santana. "If all you have is leaving I'm gonna need a better reason to write you a love song today," Rachel and Santana sang. "Promise me that you'll leave the light on to help me see the daylight, my guide, gone," I sang. "Cause I believe there's a way. You can love me because I say," Santana sang. "I won't write you a love song cause you asked for it, cause you need one," Rachel sang as she then pointed to me. "You see, I'm not gonna write you a love song cause you tell me it's make or break in this," I sang. "Is that why you wanted a love song?," I sang with Rachel and Santana "Hey, yeah," I sang. "Cause you asked for it," Rachel and Santana sang. "Cause you need one. You see, I'm not gonna write you a love song," I sang with Rachel and Santana. "Write you a love song," I sang. "Cause you tell me it's," Rachel and Santana sang. "Make or break in this if you're on your way," I sang with Rachel and Santana. "I'm not gonna write you," Rachel and Santana sang. "Write you," I sang. "To stay," I sang with Rachel and Santana. "If your heart is nowhere in it I don't want it," Rachel and Santana sang. "For a minute, babe," I sang with Rachel and Santana. "I'll walk the seven seas," Rachel and Santana sang. "Walk the seven seas," I sang. "When I believe that there's a reason to write you," Rachel and Santana sang. "Write you," I sang. "A love song," I sang with Rachel and Santana. "Today," Rachel and Santana sang. "Today," I sang. "Hey, today," Rachel sang. "I won't write you a love song," I sang. "Ee-yeah, hey," Santana sang. "Today," I sang. "I won't write you a love song," Rachel sang. "Today," I sang with Rachel and Santana.

Rachel cheered excitedly as we all went into a hug after finishing the song. "Yay. Thank you, guys, so much," Rachel said as she held both our hands "It's like my dads say you can't make new old friends." "No regrets?" I asked her. "None," she assured me. "But do you guys have to go? Can you stay a little bit longer? 'cause I would love to buy you dinner," Rachel said. "I'm in," I smiled. "Sure," Santana agreed. "Good, okay," Rachel grinned as she turned around. "I'm in no rush to get back to Kentucky. I think I could get used to it here in New York. It's more my speed," Santana said as we walked offstage with Rachel.

"Santana you would love it here," Rachel agreed. "Yeah didn't your mom give you that money that you could go to New York?" I asked Santana. "I guess I'd have to consider it," Santana shrugged. "I really think you should. I mean how happy are you really in Kentucky?" I asked her as she sighed. "As much as I'd hate to admit it you have a point Fabray," Santana said. "We just want you to be happy," Rachel smiled a bit as I agreed. "Thanks," Santana said as we headed out to dinner for the first time again as old friends rekindled something new, a real friendship.
