Author's Note: Hey guys once again I've combined two episodes as well as some quotations from a 3rd episode. I used the storylines from 'Asian F', 'Pot O'Gold', and some dialouge from 'I Kissed a Girl' so I hope you guys are enjoying my take on Season 3. Most of these episodes I probably will make a lot of changes to so I hope you like the changes. Let me know :)

The next week was all about finding the roles for West Side Story as well as working hard in Booty Camp. I waited backstage for my audition to take place. I was more nervous than when I had gotten the role of Magenta in Rocky Horror. "Quinn Fabray," Artie called as I walked out onstage. "I'll be auditioning for the role of Graziella," I smiled a bit as I began to sing a song that truly showcased exactly how I felt.

"I used to think I had the answers to everything but now I know that life doesn't always go my way, yeah. Feels like I'm caught in the middle that's when I realize I'm not a girl, not yet a woman. All I need is time, a moment that is mine while I'm in between. I'm not a girl there is no need to protect me. It's time that I learn to face up to this on my own. I've seen so much more than you know now so don't tell me to shut my eyes. I'm not a girl, not yet a woman. All I need is time a moment that is mine while I'm in between. I'm not a girl but if you look at me closely you will see it in my eyes this girl will always find her way. I'm not a girl don't tell me what to believe. Not yet a woman. I'm just tryin' to find the woman in me, yeah. All I need is time a moment that is mine while I'm in between. I'm not a girl, not yet a woman All I need is time is all I need. A moment that is mine while I'm in between. I'm not a girl oh, not yet a woman," I sang as Coach Beiste, Artie, and Miss Pillsbury stood up and cheered for me. "Thank you," I smiled a bit. "Quinn, that felt so personal. We're so glad to have you back," Miss Pillsbury smiled. "I'm glad to be back," I said as I left the stage feeling confident in my audition.

From my audition I headed to booty camp where we were rehearsing. "Glad you're here Quinn," Mr. Schue smiled. "Thanks Mr. Schue. I just came from my audition," I smiled a bit as I looked around. "Where's Mercedes?" I asked. "Who knows where Weezy is," Santana shrugged. Just then Mercedes walked in. "You're late," Mr. Schue said. "I overslept," Mercedes said. "It's 4:30 in the afternoon," I said shaking my head. "My alarm clock went off 30 minutes late this morning. Kind of shifted my whole schedule," Mercedes said as she then struggled to learn the lesson.

Something definitely wasn't right with Mercedes. Being a concerned friend I knew I had to talk to her. "What's going on?" I asked Mercedes as we left Booty Camp for the day. "I told you I just overslept," Mercedes said. "Are you sure nothing else is going on....this isn't the Mercedes I know," I said trying to be helpful. "Well the Mercedes you know is gone. I'm sick of always being pushed aside for little miss pushy," Mercedes said "It's my senior year. I want to be able to be in the spotlight for once." "And you think showing up late for rehearsal is going to help that?" I asked confused. "Look if you want the truth I was working hard on myself. Trying to have my solo in the best shape so I could win that leading role. I'm done living in Rachel Berry's shadow," Mercedes said as I nodded. "I have my audition now. See you around Quinn," Mercedes said as she left to go audition.

The next day Brittany had called a flash mob in the pep assembly. "I can totally count on you to be a part of it right?" Brittany asked me hopefully. "Of course," I smiled a bit as Brittany grinned. "We're glad to have the real you back, Q," Santana smiled. "Glad to be back," I shrugged as I help participate in Brittany's flash mob of 'Run the World (Girls)'. The students seemed to go crazy over what Brittany had done to get their votes. "Hi. I'm Brittany S. Pierce, and I'm your next senior class president," Brittany announced excitedly as the pep rally then came to an end.

That afternoon was yet another Booty Camp practice. I was spinning around warming up as Puck seemed to be watching me. "Okay, so, before we dive into today's Booty Camp, I just want to say how impressed Mike and I have been with everyone's progress," Mr. Schue said as we all grinned. Mr. Schue then noticed Brittany "Uh... Brittany, why are you here?" "'Cause I intend on, you know, dancing my way into the voters' hearts," Brittany grinned as Mr. Schue and Mike looked at each other confused. "Okay. All right... everyone up! Now, your homework assignment was "The Widow Maker," perhaps the hardest show choir dance move ever. Now, when you get it right, one of us is gonna tap you out, then you can have a seat. Uh, five, six, seven, eight!" Mr. Schue said as we began to dance.

I had been practicing hard. "Quinn is doing alright, yeah," I heard Mr. Schue say. I was the 3rd tapped out by Mike. I couldn't help but grin. Puck was tapped out right after me. We stood on the side together as we awaited everyone else. Finn and Mercedes were the only two Glee Club members left in. "Come on, Finn, you can do it!" Mr. Schue encouraged Finn. "No he can't," Puck smirked. "Oh yeah?" Finn said. "Yeah," Puck said. "Be nice to Finn," I chuckled. "Why?" Puck said. "Because he's trying his best Puck," I said. "Geez goody goody Fabray really is back," Puck groaned. "And don't you forget it," I chuckled a bit as I grabbed onto his arm. "Come on, Mercedes," Mike said. Finn then mastered the move. "My ankle hurts," Mercedes groaned. "Push through it," Mr. Schue said. "I don't feel good," Mercedes said shaking her head. "You're fine," Mr. Schue said. No, I'm not!" Mercedes exclaimed annoyed.

"Look, Mercedes, I want you to be the best you can be, okay? Did you even practice this?" Mr. Schue asked. "Stop picking on me! You're always singling me out, making me look bad!" Mercedes fumed. "That's crazy," Mr. Schue said shaking his head. "No, you're crazy. For not letting me shine! Where's Rachel, huh? I don't see her here, being a part of the "team."," Mercedes continued. "Rachel practices every night," Finn frowned. "No one asked you, Finn," Mercedes shot as she looked at Finn. She then turned back to Mr. Schue "Everyone knows that Rachel is your favorite." "That's not true," Mr. Schue said. "No, it's true– you give that skinny, Garanimal-wearing ass-kisser everything! And, you know, for two years, you know, I took it. But not anymore! I'm done!" Mercedes said annoyed. She then began to leave as she intentionally knocked over the music stand in the process.

I bit my lip. Mercedes really wasn't acting like herself at all. Sure, Mr. Schue mostly showed preference to Rachel but he wasn't just picking on Mercedes. She needed the extra help to be the best she could be. Mercedes whipped her head back around "You know, I've outgrown you. I've outgrown all of you." I looked confused. She'd outgrown all of us? This just didn't sound like the girl who took me in. Mercedes turned back to leave. "Mercedes! You walk out that door, you're out of Glee Club," Mr. Schue called after Mercedes who paused for a minute. I was just hoping she would turn right back around and join the rest of us but Mercedes just kept on walking.

The next afternoon it was the callback between Rachel and Mercedes for the role of Maria. The rest of us sat in the audience watching. "Screw West Side Story, this is Clash of the Titans," Puck told me seriously as I chuckled a bit shaking my head. Miss Pillsbury flipped a coin which Rachel had won. Mercedes had to perform first. Mercedes sang 'Out Here on My Own' which was the song that was decided on in advance. I smiled at her encouragingly. Even though, we'd had our ups and downs this past week Mercedes had been there for me when no one else was. Both girls did such a great job on their performance. I knew it was going to be a tough call for Miss Pillsbury, Coach Beiste, and Artie to make. I hoped that Mercedes would get the lead due to the fact that she needed the confidence boost at this point. I hoped that it would lead her back to Glee Club with the rest of us. However, that did not turn out to be the case.

"They wanted to double cast us as Maria," Rachel said sadly. "So you didn't get the part?" Finn asked confused. "Oh no. I got the part," Rachel sighed "Mercedes refused to split the role with me so she quit the production." My eyes grew wide. "She quit?" I asked as Rachel nodded. "That's not the worst part," Rachel sighed. "There's more?" Tina said shocked. "Mercedes joined Miss Corcoran's group," Rachel frowned as we began to talk at once in horror. Mr. Schue had really done some damage to the Glee Club, especially being down without Mercedes.

"Now we're down to 11 members again," Tina groaned. "I know guys. This is bad. This is really bad," Rachel frowned. "Not necessarily," I said. "Quinn we don't have enough members to compete at sectionals," Kurt said. "But we only need one member," I reminded them. "Where in this school are we even going to find one person who want to join our sad little Glee Club?" Santana asked. "Maybe my leprechaun can help us find a new member," Brittany said enthusiastically. "I'm sorry your what?" Rachel asked confused. "My leprechaun. He just came here from Ireland. He's living at my house. He can make miracles happen," Brittany grinned as we didn't look so sure about that. The bell rang as Puck and I left the choir room.

"Can you believe Brittany thinks the foreign exchange student is a leprechaun," Puck said shaking his head. "It's Brittany. At this point nothing surprises me," I said as we walked down the hall together. "Okay I kind of had an idea of how we can spend some time with Beth," Puck said as I smiled. "I'm listening," I said. "Remember when we babysat Mrs. Schuester's Sister's kids?" Puck asked as I nodded. "How could I forget," I chuckled "Those kids were a handful." "What if we offered to watch Beth for Shelby. You know help her out plus spend quality time with Beth," Puck smiled. "I think that's a great idea," I smiled brightly.

We then approached Shelby in her classroom. "Miss Corcoran," I said as she turned around. "Quinn, Puck to what do I owe this pleasure," Shelby smiled. "We were wondering...do you have a sitter for Beth?" Puck asked. "I don't. It's hard to find good help around here," Shelby sighed. "We were wondering...if you ever needed a sitter do you think we could do it?" I asked nervously. "How do I know I can trust you alone in my house?" Shelby asked pointedly. "We babysat for Mr. Schue's 3 nephews. He'll tell you all about how we got them to go from demon spawn to practically praying and peaceful," I smiled a bit. Shelby seemed to think about it. "I'll talk to Mr. Schue then I'll see about you babysitting. Okay?" Shelby said. "Of course," I said as Puck also smiled as we left Shelby alone, hoping our campaigning had worked.

Next glee practice was a solemn one. We all had felt like we lost a part of us losing Mercedes as a member of Glee Club. Mr. Schue also broke it to us that musical was cancelled unless we got the funding for it. "No, you can't cancel my musical. Okay? I was considering changing my name to Maria," Rachel whined as most of us gave her a look. "Sometimes it's not all about you Berry," Santana snarked. "Guys! We seriously need to stop all this fighting. I know having the musical delayed is a serious loss but right now we have to find a way to fund the musical," Mr. Schue said. "How?" Tina asked. "We sell ads in the program. I figure we can get ten, maybe 20 bucks apiece for them," Mr. Schue grinned. "So we'll only have to sell about 200," I said shaking my head. How on earth would we be able to sell 200 ads?

"Well, I think it's a brilliant idea," Kurt grinned "And I volunteer myself to spearhead the charge. It'll give me a great opportunity to, uh, bust out my Banana Republic Mad Men collection." "Okay. All right. Let's break off into smaller groups, figure out who's going to canvass which parts of the city," Mr. Schue said as the bell rang "And guys, I don't care what Sue does or who leaves us everyone in this group's dreams are going to come true this year." Mr. Schue then clapped "Let's do it,"

I walked out of the classroom knowing I would have to talk to my mom about talking to her society friends about buying an ad in the program for the musical. "Maybe I should buy one of those ads," Puck said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "You know for my pool cleaning business," Puck said as I approached my locker to get my books for the next class. "Not only would I be helping out the team it'd be a way to get more clients," Puck grinned. "It's not a bad idea," I said smiling. "Thanks," Puck said as Shelby approached us out in the hall. "You guys were just who I was looking for," she smiled as I turned around. "Did you give anymore thought to our offer?" Puck asked. "I did," Shelby nodded "I talked to Mr. Schue and he told me what fantastic babysitters you were." I couldn't help but smile. "Does that mean we've got the job?" I asked in a hopeful tone. "Yes," Shelby said as Puck and I celebrated "I need you guys to come by tomorrow night," she told us seriously. "No problem," I smiled a bit. "Yeah I can clear up my schedule," Puck agreed. "Great," Shelby smiled as we then headed for class glad to have the chance to get to know Beth.

I arrived at Shelby's house the next night. "Hey right on time," Shelby smiled as she let me in. Beth was sitting on the floor playing with her toys. "Wow...she's gotten so big," I said shaking my head. "Yeah she talks a little bit now," Shelby grinned. "Wow," I said breathlessly. "Haaaii," Beth cooed. "Hi Beth," I smiled a bit sitting on the floor with her. "I'm going to finish getting ready. Can you look after Beth for a few minutes?" Shelby asked. "Of course," I said as Beth seemed to look back for Shelby and start crying.

"Maaaaaa," she screamed tears running down her cheeks. "Shh...it's okay," I said trying to comfort her as she continued to cry. Just then there was a knock on the door. I picked a still screaming Beth up to answer the door. "Hey," Puck said as he then looked at Beth worriedly "Why is she crying like that?" "Shelby left to get ready," I said. "Wow...she looks so much like you," Puck said shaking his head. "You think so?" I smiled a bit. "Totally," Puck smiled as I still tried to rock her to get her to calm down.

Shelby then rushed out of the room. "Sorry, sorry she gets like this whenever I have to leave," Shelby sighed as she took Beth back. Beth instantly seemed to calm down. "If she starts crying again, sing to her. She really loves music," Shelby said. "Really?" I smiled as Shelby nodded. "It always works," Shelby said as she handed Beth back to me as she put her coat on. Beth started to cry again. "It's okay boo-boo. I'll be back," Shelby frowned a bit. "Just sing to her," she reminded us as she headed out the door.

Beth screamed louder when Shelby had left. "Hey it's okay..." I began trying to comfort her. "I brought my guitar...maybe I should play her something," Puck suggested as I continued to bounce her. "Shelby did say she liked music it's worth a shot," I shrugged as Puck then began to play his guitar and sing to 'Waiting for a Girl Like You'.

"So long I've been looking too hard, I've waited too long sometimes I don't know what I will find. I only know it's a matter of time. When you love someone. When you love someone," Puck began to sing as Beth almost seemed to instantly stop crying and looked at him. "It feels so right, so warm and true. I need to know if you feel it too. Maybe I'm wrong won't you tell me if I'm coming on too strong? This heart of mine has been hurt before this time I wanna be sure. I've been waiting for a girl like you to come into my life. I've been waiting for a girl like you a love that will survive. I've been waiting for someone new to make me feel alive Yeah, waiting for a girl like you to come into my life," Puck sang to Beth as I smiled at him as well.

Beth began to coo and smile at Puck. "That was really beautiful Puck," I smiled as Beth seemed to lay her head on my shoulder sleepily. "Thanks," Puck whispered as Beth soon fell asleep. I put her down carefully after making sure she was truly asleep. Puck couldn't help but smile at me. "You're such a natural with her," Puck complimented me as we went into the other room not to disturb Beth. "Thanks. I guess I've had a lot of practice. I used to babysit all the time in middle school," I shrugged as I sat with him. "You're not so bad yourself," I smiled a bit. "I told you we could've done this," Puck told me seriously. I sighed as I looked out at Beth.

Part of me wishes I had kept her. I had always felt like Beth was still my responsibility even after giving her up. I knew if I had I would be heavily relying on help from my mom who came around about Beth. I didn't want to have to put that kind of stress on my mom while I was in school. Besides that how would I have balanced school, Glee Club, and Cheerios? It just wasn't possible. "No...we did the right thing," I said looking at how peaceful Beth looked. "This is what's for the best for her. Shelby has a stable environment for her and she promised us we could have a relationship with her," I said. Puck seemed to nod understandingly.

"How hard was it on you? Giving her away?" He asked looking towards Beth. "Harder than you know," I said emotionally as he wrapped his arms around me. I let the tears stream down my face. "I didn't feel it the way you did....giving her up," Puck told me seriously as I looked at him "It wasn't until I saw her again that I just...wanted to be a part of her life you know?" I nodded "I understand that."

We sat in silence for awhile. I finally broke the silence speaking again "You're lucky you know..." "How so?" Puck asked. "You know what you want to do," I sighed "You have your pool cleaning business. What do I have?" I said emotionally. "Quinn, you have everything going for you. Why would you say that?" Puck asked me seriously. "Losing Beth felt like I had lost a part of me. She's perfect. She's my perfect thing, something even I can't screw up. Even if I stay in this town and make nothing of myself at least knowing the reason Beth is here is because I wouldn't give up, that's all I've accomplished," I said as tears flew down my cheeks. "Hey don't sell yourself short," Puck told me seriously "You are Quinn Fabray. You're smart, kind, beautiful. You don't need a baby or a dude or anyone to make you special. If there's one person that I'm sure is gonna get the hell out of this town and make something of herself, it's you," Puck said as he looked me in the eyes. "I see you somewhere warm and glamorous, like L.A. or Miami or Toronto," Puck said as I chuckled. "You mean it?" I said. "Of course I do," Puck said as I kissed him quickly. "Thank you," I whispered emotionally as I laid my head on his shoulder feeling more like myself.

Shelby unlocked the door as I sat up. Puck and I greeted her at the door. "How did she do?" Shelby whispered noticing Beth was asleep. "Great. Puck sang to her which seemed to help," I smiled. "Good," Shelby said as she put her stuff down "Thank you for watching her. It felt good to have some time for myself." "Anytime," Puck smiled. "If I ever need a sitter I know who to call," Shelby smiled as Puck and I left her apartment feeling accomplished.

I began to leave. "Quinn wait," Puck called as I turned around. "You kissed me," Puck said. "I did," I said nodding. "Does this mean you want us to get back together?" Puck asked. I thought about it. Being with Puck was one of the few times I had felt good about myself. The only reason we had broke up was because of how he accused me of cheating on him then proceeded to perform with Rachel and get back with Lauren. "I don't know what it means," I shrugged "A kiss is a kiss. It means I still care about you." Puck smiled "And I care about you. Come on, we're both single now. You're no longer the pink haired skank and I'm no longer the school's badass bad boy," Puck smirked as I chuckled. "I'll have to think about it," I said walking off to my car. Truth be told I didn't know what I wanted. Yes I still cared for Puck but was I willing to throw myself back into a relationship where losing it could hurt me once again? The truth was I didn't know what to do.

The next day in Glee Club Rehearsal Mr. Schue wrote on the board 'THE MAGIC IS BACK'. "I think he knows about my leprechaun," I heard Brittany whisper to Santana. "I wonder what that's about," I said to Rachel who shrugged. "Maybe the musical is back on," she said in a hopeful tone. "Okay, everyone, I have some very exciting news," Mr. Schue grinned. "Due to the collective spirit of this club, particularly the hard ad sales work of Kurt and the generosity of the entire Hummel-Hudson household it's my pleasure to announce that we have raised the money to do West Side Story this year," Mr. Schue said as Rachel stood up and clapped excitedly. "All right! Good job, everyone. Great job. Thank you and thank you," Mr. Schue grinned as he then turned to Blaine "Blaine, you actually had something you wanted to say, - right?" "Yes, I did," Blaine grinned as he got up in front of the choir room.

"I just wanted to acknowledge that we've all had a really rough week, what with Mercedes leaving. So I prepared a little something to show what Mr. Schue just said that the magic is still here. So this is to remind us of what Glee is all about, which is just fun," Blaine grinned as he began to perform 'Last Friday Night' by Katy Perry as we backed him up on the song.

"It's a blacked out blur but I'm pretty sure it ruled Damn!" Blaine sang with Artie and Mike as I ran up with Rachel as we got on top of the table in the choir room and began to sing along with Blaine. "Last Friday night. Yeah we danced on tabletops and we took too many shots think we kissed but I forgot," we sang with Blaine on lead. Mike and Blaine helped Rachel and I down from the table as we continued to dance and sing. "Last Friday night. Yeah we maxed our credit cards and got kicked out of the bar so we hit the boulevard. Last Friday night we went streaking in the park, skinny dipping in the dark, then had a ménage à trois," we sang as Blaine, Brittany, Rachel, and I went over to Puck. "Last Friday night. Yeah I think we broke the law always say we're gonna stop-op. Whoa-oh-oah," we sang as Puck and I began to dance together. "This Friday night, do it all again. This Friday night, do it all again," we sang as we then began to chant. "T.G.I.F.! T.G.I.F.! T.G.I.F.! T.G.I.F.! T.G.I.F.! T.G.I.F.!" we chanted having fun as we then joined Blaine down in front of the choir room as he sang the lead as we backed him up again on the chorus as we ended the song having a great time doing so.

I sat down as we all clapped for Blaine. "You guys, that song is amazing. I think we should do it for Sectionals," Rachel grinned excitedly. "So no concerns about showcasing any other voices this year at the competition?" Santana asked annoyed. "Oh, come on, Santana. You were featured last year at Sectionals," Mr. Schue said. "Yeah, I know. And we won. Oh! No, you know what? I get it. Since Mercedes is gone this year, it's going to be the Blaine and Rachel show. Yay!" Santana said sarcastically. "You all know it's true," she said to all of us. I couldn't disagree. Mr. Schue had a tendency to pick his favorites of the group to seemingly get every solo. "Noted. Good to know," Santana smirked as she left the choir room. "Thank you, Santana," Mr. Schue said.

Rachel frowned a bit as the bell rang. I grabbed my things as Rachel stopped me. "Could I ask you something?" Rachel asked. "Sure I guess," I shrugged as Rachel sighed. "You seemed to be agreeing with Santana when she talked about the solos," Rachel said nervously. "I did," I said. "Look Quinn, I just want to make sure you're not going to leave the New Directions for Shelby's girl group," Rachel frowned a bit. I looked at her confused. "Why would I do that?" I asked. "I don't know," Rachel sighed "I just thought if Brittany and Santana left you'd join them." I shook my head. "While Brittany, Santana, and I may have joined New Directions together I rejoined New Directions on my own. You guys were there for me when I was going through a really tough time in my life. If it wasn't for you and Puck I'd probably still be off with The Skanks," I sighed as Rachel smiled a bit. "I helped?" she asked as I nodded. "Rachel, we were friends last year. I know we had our differences but when push came to shove you were there for me. I want to be there for you," I smiled a bit as Rachel seemed happy to hear this she hugged me tightly. "Thank Quinn," Rachel smiled as we left the choir room together. "Of course," I smiled feeling like I had truly gained back a friend who I almost threw away.

The next day was a hard day to take. Brittany and Santana left the New Directions and decided to join Mercedes in the all-girl group Shelby was directing. "Awful lot of empty chairs in here," Mike frowned as I was reading a book for my English class waiting for Glee rehearsal to start. "This is a disaster. This is not the way that senior year of Glee Club was supposed to be," Rachel frowned. "Look, guys, I know this is gonna be hard. This isn't how I pictured starting out this year, either," Mr. Schue frowned. "Then I guess we've got our work cut out for us," I heard Finn's voice said as he entered the room with the new kid from Ireland. "What happens when the pope dies?" Finn asked. "Heaven, you'd think," Kurt said. "You get a new pope. There's always new talent to be found. Always a new voice, right, Mr. Schue?" Finn grinned. "Yeah," Mr. Schue nodded. "Well, everybody, I'd like to introduce my friend Rory Flanagan. He's interested in joining Glee Club," Finn grinned. "Can this kid even sing?" I asked simply. "I sing at Mass every Sunday, and I love American music. If you don't mind, I'd like to dedicate this song to my family, who I miss so much," Rory said as he then began to sing 'Take Care of Yourself' by Teddy Thompson.

"It's time for us to part," Rory began singing. Holy crap. This kid can actually sing. "Yeah, it's best for us to part. Oh, but I love you. Ooh, I love you. Take care of yourself. I'll miss you. The nights are all alone. I sit alone and moan. Oh, cause I love you. Ooh, I love you. Take care of yourself. I'll miss you and no more tears to cry. I'm out of goodbyes. It's time for us to part. Although it breaks my heart. Oh, cause I love you. Ooh, I love you. Take care of yourself. Take care of yourself. Take care of yourself. I love you," Rory sang as we all cheered for him, glad to welcome him into the Glee Club. "Welcome to the New Directions," Mr. Schue grinned as we all cheered rushing over to Rory. We had gained 1 new member all we needed was 3 more and we would be able to compete at Sectionals. That was going to be a tough job at hand but I knew we could handle it.
