The next week didn't start off the greatest in that Jesse decided to quit New Directions 2 weeks before sectionals were supposed to happen. He performed with Vocal Adrenaline 'Another One Bites The Dust' to try and intimidate us. Truth be told, it was working. I think we all were worried about what lay ahead at Sectionals especially since we lost Jesse who was one of our biggest assets.

We arrived back to the choir room to see it all TPed. "I feel so violated. It's like someone broke into our home," Tina frowned as we were cleaning up the toilet paper. "Look, it was just a lame little prank. The fact that they're trying to get to us means maybe we got 'em spooked," Mr. Schue said. "Uh-uh Mr Schue. They aren't afraid of anything. That number they did was fantastic. Which doesn't make any sense. They had all that equipment. How did they even get in?" Mercedes asked. "I gave 'em all keys. Helped 'em do a soundcheck over the weekend. Hey, this way fellas. Let's punch out this wall here, open up the space a little bit," Coach Sylvester said.

"Sue, what are you doing?" Mr. Schue asked, not pleased. "I can't talk now William. Drafting class is helping me redecorate around here. You see, I have nationals over the weekend and expect to return with a comically large first-place trophy for which I have absolutely no room in my trophy case. As soon as you hurry up and lose at regionals, this choir room will become my official trophy annex. You know what, it has to look like Elvis's gold record room at Graceland. Except I'll be wanting far fewer morbidly obese white women waddling around and crying", Coach Sylvester said. "Sue, get out of my room," Mr. Schue said, walking towards her. "Glee Clubbers, for those of you whose hearing has not been damaged by massive doses of Accutane, listen up. In a few weeks, Glee Club will be finished. Now how do I know that? I recently checked the odds with my Vegas bookie who told me that you're going to lose and your dreams will be crushed," Coach Sylvester said.

"Sue, can I see your trophy?" Mr. Schue asked. "Sure Will. Hope and dream," Coach Sylvester said, handing Mr. Schue her trophy. He then threw her trophy. "You dropped your trophy Sue," Mr. Schue said. "You know, for me trophies are like herpes. You can try to get rid of 'em, but they just keep comin'. You know why? Sue Sylvester has hourly flare-ups of burning, itchy, highly contagious talent. Enjoy your last few days here. This room is mine," Coach Sylvester smirked as she left the choir room.

"Alright, guys, today I want to talk to you about regrets. Who has some?" Mr. Schuester said as he began Glee Club. "Giving my heart to Jesse, just to have it crushed like the stage floor at Stomp," Rachel frowned. "Thinking "Trust me" was a sensible birth control option," I said. "We all have them. I just finalized my divorce. I regret living in a relationship that wasn't working letting her put me in these deep funks and not fighting back," Mr. Schue said. "Besides creeping us out, why are you telling us this?" Santana asked "Because if we lose to Vocal Adrenaline at regionals, none of us are gonna regret it. We will have given it our best shot and we won't look back. But we will regret letting them get the best of us before the competition which is why we need to hit them back just like they hit us," Mr. Schuester said.

"So you want us to T.P. Their choir room?" I asked confused, not exactly getting the point of what Mr. Schue wanted us to do. "Whatever the better, cooler version of that is, like, uh maybe maybe we should steal their school statue," Mr. Schuester said. "Their school statue is a giant bronze of a great white shark eating a seal pup. It weighs three tons," Kurt said. Mr. Schue tried to suggest a few more things but none of us thought any of the ideas were going to help us beat Vocal Adrenaline. The bell rang as we headed off to class feeling in a deeper Funk than before.

The next day Mr. Schue seemed in higher spirits as he wrote the word 'Funk' on the board. He asked us to use it in a sentence which of course Berry was the first one to reply saying "This cheese smells funky". "What if I told you I knew how we could shove it right back down their throats? New Directions is about to make their funk the P-Funk. We are gonna get funked up. The only way to do that is to beat them at regionals. Vocal Adrenaline has never once done a funk number. They're a machine, a collective, synthesized, soulless beat. Funk is soul meets anger. Its passion is in its emotion. And Vocal Adrenaline doesn't perform with any. So you have your assignment. I want you guys to turn McKinley High into," Mr. Schue said as he sang "Funkytown." we all smiled and grinned as we chattered amongst ourselves.

"You guys can relax. I got this one covered," Mercedes said. "Cool," Mr. Schue smiled. "Hold on a second. I want a chance to get funky too," I said. I knew if given the chance I definitely could bring it with a funk number. Everyone started laughing when I said that. "Good one, Quinn. It even sounds funny when you say it," Mercedes said through her laughing. "You said funk was about soul and anger. I have plenty of both," I said determined "Look at me. Look at my life. I'm furious!" "Let's be honest. When white people try to be funky, you end up with K.C. and the Sunshine Band," Mercedes said laughing a bit. "I love "Boogie Shoes"," Artie smiled. "Mercedes's racism aside I will have something prepared tomorrow," I said determined. "All right. Quinn goes first," Mr. Schue said as the bell rang.

I knew I had to look up funk songs to find the perfect one. I headed for the library as I looked into funk records which I found 'It's a Man's World' which I definitely could relate to. I decided that would be the perfect song for me to perform tomorrow. I called on some help from my friends at the unwed mothership connection to help me with my performance. I knew it was going to be perfect.

"Okay, Quinn, it's your day to show us your funky side," Mr. Schue said as I nodded. "So, take it away," Mr. Schue said as he took a seat. I took a deep breath as I began to talk. "For some of us just simply getting to class takes a little bit longer. When you're pregnant you're responsible for two lives and you're walking down the hallway oppressed by the man," I began. "Oh, my goodness, she is not about to go there," Mercedes cringed. "Hearing people call you fat," I began as the Unwed Mothership Connect then began to join me. "Sometimes it hurts.Sometimes you have to stop and hold that precious life and say "No"," I said "This is offensive. Who are these girls?" Artie asked "We're the Unwed Mothership Connection and that's what we're here to sing about," I said as I took my position as 'It's a Man's World' began to play as I took my position and began to perform.

"This is a man's world. This is a man's world but it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl. You see man made the cars to take us over the road. Man made the train to carry the heavy load. Man made electric light to take us out the dark.Man made the boat for the water, like Noah made the ark. This is a man's, man's, man's world but it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl. Man thinks about the little baby girls and the baby boys. Man make them happy, cause man made them toys and after man make everything, everything he can fo you know that man makes money? To buy from other man. This is a man's world but it would be nothing, nothing, not a one little thing without a woman or a girl. He's lost in the wilderness. He's lost in betterness. He's lost, lost somewhere now in loneliness," I sang as I finished the song emotional. The New Directions bursted into applause for me as they all hugged me tightly as the bell rang.

"Thanks guys," I said as I got my things. "Quinn...that was really great," Mercedes told me. "Thanks Mercedes," I smiled a bit. "I'm sorry I acted like you couldn't get funky. You're right, funk is about soul meets anger and you have a lot of that in your life right now," Mercedes said. I nodded as she hugged me. "I hope staying at my house has been helping," she said. "It's definitely made things easier to get through. I'm thankful for your parents they've really been amazing to me. Far better than I deserve," I said honestly. Mercedes shook her head amazed. "Come on let's get home," Mercedes said as I left with her.

The next day I was heading to Glee Club practice when I was stopped by a familiar voice. "Quinnie?" I turned around to see my mom standing there. "Mom?" I said emotional as my mom hugged me tightly. "What are you doing here? Is Dad okay...?" I asked her confused. "Your father is fine. Oh Quinnie I am so sorry for what we did to you," my mom said. I shook my head "It's alright," "I talked to your sister...she told me everything," my mom said as I seemed amazed. "Mom...did something happen?" I asked as my mom sighed. "I left your father," she told me as I seemed amazed. "Wait why?" I asked dumbfounded. "I found out he was cheating on me with some tattooed freak. I'm just so glad to see you're okay. Frannie told me you were living with another guy," my mom said as I sighed. "I was living with Puck for awhile...he's the father of the baby," I told my mom who seemed surprised "But one of my friends from Glee Club, Mercedes and her family are letting me stay with them for awhile," I told my mom. My mom seemed relieved to hear that. "Quinnie, I am so sorry I wasn't there for you. I know I should've been. You were right. I was scared. Scared of what your father might do if he found out. There's going to be no more of that. We're getting a divorce," she told me. "Mom..." I said shaking my head. "Quinnie I want you to move in with me," my mom said. I was shocked. My mom was offering to let me move in with her? Things definitely were changing. "We can change the guest room into a nursery. I can help you take care of the baby," my mom told me. I knew I had a lot to consider. "I don't know if I should keep her mom," I sighed. "Her? The baby's a girl," my mom said getting emotional as I nodded. "I'm going to make it up to you for all this lost time...when is your sectional performance?" my mom asked. "In 2 weeks, March 27th," I told her. "I'll be there," my mom assured me. I just hugged her again. "Thank you," I whispered. "Of course," my mom said.

I began to see the members of the New Directions walking out of rehearsal. "I think I missed my Glee Club practice," I sighed. "Oh Quinnie, I didn't want to keep you," my mom said shaking her head. "It's okay...I'm just glad to see you again mom," I smiled. "Just think about my offer. I would love to have you back home," my mom said as I nodded. Mercedes then approached me as my mom left. "Was that your mom?" Mercedes asked as I nodded. "She wants me to move back in with her," I said emotionally. "Quinn, that's great. I'm glad she came around," Mercedes grinned. "Me too, Mercedes...me too," I sighed. "Do you know if you're going to move in with her?" Mercedes asked me. I shrugged "I'm not sure yet. I mean my mom has a lot going on right now. Adding me and possibly a baby into the mix might be too much for her. If it's okay I think I might stay with you...at least until after school ends," I told Mercedes. "It's okay with me," Mercedes smiled as we hugged tightly heading home feeling closer than before.

Next Glee rehearsal we had come to find out that Vocal Adrenaline had covered Rachel in eggs. It was an awful thing for them to do, especially considering Rachel is vegan. Puck got the guys up to go teach Vocal Adrenaline a lesson. Mr. Schue however stopped them saying that making someone else suffer won't help you in the long run. "Rachel, dial Jesse's number on your phone," Mr. Schue said as Rachel nodded. "You haven't deleted his number yet?" Santana asked rolling her eyes. "Jesse St. James, Will Schuester here. You and Vocal Adrenaline need to meet at our auditorium Friday, 3:00 sharp," Mr. Schue said as he hung up Rachel's phone. We then began to rehearse a big group number of 'Give Up the Funk' just to show Vocal Adrenaline that they can't beat us.

"Thanks for coming. After your brazen escalation of our growing dispute, which we were willing to put to rest we decided the only way to truly "funkify" you is to show you the one thing we know you can't do So enjoy," Rachel said as she headed backstage as we began to perform 'Give Up the Funk' to a very shocked Vocal Adrenaline who seemed surprised that we had found their weakness. We all cheered excited by how well we had performed. "See you punks at Regionals," Puck smirked as we walked offstage knowing we had shown Vocal Adrenaline. I could hardly wait for Sectionals which would be happening right after spring break.

Spring break for me was a much needed rest. After everything we had gone through to get to this point I was so ready to take some time off and breathe for a little while. Most of the break I spent packing my things up at Mercedes'. I knew that I was due in about a month by the time I got that big I knew I wouldn't have the strength to start packing and I didn't know exactly how I would feel after I had the baby which was why I decided to start packing. "Girl I'm going to miss you when you leave," Mercedes said as I smiled at her. "I'm going to miss you too Mercedes. You and your family have been so great to me these past few weeks. I just wish there was something I could do to repay you," I said honestly. "You don't have to," Mercedes said brushing it off as I smiled a bit. "You ready to head to Mr. Schue's for the Sectionals Nomination party?" Mercedes asked as I nodded.

When we arrived to the party everyone seemed very down trottened. "What happened?" I asked as Brittany frowned. "Coach Sylvester is going to be a judge," Brittany told me. I bit my lip. Coach Sylvester being a judge wasn't going to be good for the Glee Club at all. Most likely we were going to lose sectionals. I stared out the window thinking back to how this year started compared to where I am now.

"Quinn? Quinn? Are you alright?" Mr. Schue asked breaking me out of my trance. "It's been a long year," I sighed as I grabbed the plates for the pizza. "Yeah. Oh, you need some help with those plates?" he asked. "I'm not due for a month. Think I can handle a stack of plates," I said as I walked off. "Right," Mr. Schue said as I then took my seat, feeling as down as the rest of the group. Glee Club was most likely going to be over. All because somehow Coach Sylvester roped her way into being a judge at sectionals.

"No one wants any pizza?" Mr. Schue asked as we all just sat there. "Alright, well, uh, let's get started. Thank you for coming to the first annual New Directions' Regionals' setlist nominations party," Mr. Schue said enthusiastically. "What's the point, Mr. Schue? Coach Sylvester's one of the judges. She's gonna crush us," Artie frowned. "Artie, you don't know that," Mr. Schue said. "Yes, we do. She told us at Cheerios practice," Santana said. "Yeah, she said, "I'm going to crush Glee Club."," Brittany frowned. "A whole freaking year. All that hard work for nothing," Puck complained as Tina began to cry.

"I'm sorry. I just really love you guys," Tina said in between tears "You know how many Facebook friends I had before I joined Glee Club? Two. My parents. Rachel was right. Being a part of something special– it made me special. I just can't believe it's going to be over in a week." "Wait. Who says it's going to be over?" Finn asked. "Please. You think Puck and Santana are going to even acknowledge my existence once we're not in Glee Club together anymore?" Mercedes asked. "She has a point," Puck agreed. "Mr. Schuester? Do you think instead of nominating songs, we can just... all go around the room and talk about things that we loved about Glee Club this year?" Rachel said emotionally. "Of course," Mr. Schue said seeming so upset for all of us. How could Sectionals have amounted to this? It hardly seemed fair.

Everyone went around the room saying different things they loved about Glee Club and it was soon my turn. "What I loved about Glee Club was how you guys were all there for me," I smiled emotionally at the New Directions "This has been the hardest year of my life and every single one of you has made me feel accepted somewhere. Even when my personal life went to hell you were all there for me. I'm going to miss spending time with you all in the choir room. You all made me realize that popularity is not everything staying true to who you are is what's the most important," I smiled as everyone seemed to agree with what I had to say. It was a bittersweet day but I knew somehow, someway we were going to make the most of it when we arrived at Sectionals next week.
