I put my sunglasses on as we arrived at the airport and then we all got out of the car. Kindly, Grayson pulled my suitcase out of the boot of the car and I thanked him for doing so. Ethan gave Grayson a hug and said he was going to miss him even though we were only going to be away for a week. then, I gave Ethan a hug and we said goodbye.
Grayson and I walked hand in hand into the airport as Ethan leaned up against the Jeep and waved us goodbye.
Here we go.
We walked through the revolving door and I smiled like a goon because I was so excited.
"first time in Paris?" Grayson asked me as we queued up in the line for check-in.
"yes, and we're not even there yet!" I exclaimed,
'I know, I know... but It's just exciting," Grayson smiled,
"I just want to get there already." I shrugged as the queue slowly became shorter and shorter.
The two of us spoke some more about how exciting everything was and how this trip was going to be the best honeymoon of all time.
"hi... how are you two doing today?" the man behind the counter said as he collected our passports and checked them,
"we're great thanks..." Grayson replied to him,
"where are you travelling to today?" he asked as he put the books on the counter,
"Paris." I said back to him,
"romantic break?" he asked back,
"honeymoon." Grayson said,
"how long are you two away for?" the man asked as he dug deeper,
"we're away for seven nights..."
"how old are the two of you?" he asked with a puzzled look,
"I'm nineteen and he's eighteen."
"and you're on your honeymoon?"
here came the judgemental questions.
"yes... why?" Grayson asked him as he furrowed his eyebrows,
"I got married when I was nineteen, we're still married to this day with three kids." The guy smiled.
That was not the reason I was expecting.
"well, congratulations for that." I smiled as he weighed our suitcases,
"and congratulations on the wedding," he smiled back and we were on our way as the suitcases were sent to the back of the wall and into the abyss.
I always wondered what was behind that make-shift wall. I imagined it to be like the scene in monsters Inc. with the doors on the conveyer belt.
I put my passport back in my backpack along with the paperwork stuff that Grayson sorted out because I had no idea what any of it meant.
When we made it to the waiting lounge, we wandered around a little bit and then we got ourselves some food from the sushi bar. As I tucked into the sushi using some chopsticks, a Dolan Twins fan came over with their parent,
"oh hey!" Grayson said as he swallowed his first piece of sushi,
"see... I told you sweetie, they're busy." The girls' mum said as she tried to move her daughter away,
"no... it's fine." I said as I put my chopsticks down and Grayson stood up to take a picture with her,
"I can't believe it's you..." the girl said as she went in for a hug,
"what's your name..." I said as I began to film her on snapchat,
"Brandy." She said with a big grin on her face,
"where are you heading, Brandy?" I asked her when I was done,
"LA." She said back to me, "where are you guys going?"
"we're off to Paris..." Grayson said,
"where's Ethan?" she looked around,
"he's back at our parent's house... he wasn't invited," Grayson laughed and the girl sounded slightly disappointed as she laughed,
"I'm sure he'll meet you at some stage." I said to her and her smile grew,
"thanks for taking a picture with me guys..." she smiled,
"it was great to meet you, Brandy." Grayson said with a smile as she began to walk off and her mum smiled and said thank you back to us.
"I felt so bad when her mum began to take her away," I said as I pouted,
"I know." Grayson said as he waved her off and then dug back into his sushi.
When we were done with our sushi, I managed to persuade Grayson to go to the Mac store with me. He aimlessly picked up lipsticks and then ranted quietly about how there were ten that all looked the same but were different.
"you and Ethan look the same but are different." I mentioned as I swatched an eyeshadow on my hand,
"not the same thing." He laughed,
"just like the lipsticks." I muttered,
"you never give up, do you?" he smiled to me and leant his head on my shoulder as he hugged me from behind,
"nope... I'm relentless." I Smiled to him as he nuzzled into my shoulder.
"are you done yet... we've been here for years!" he groaned,
"we've been here for five minutes... stop whining." I joked,
"it feels like forever..." he said as he slumped.
"okay... I'll get this and then we can go and sit on an uncomfortable chair and do nothing for an hour..." I said to him,
"great." He smiled.
I purchased the eyeshadow and then I put it into my backpack.
"can I see the eyeshadow?" Grayson asked as we sat down on the metal chair.
"oh... now you're interested in the makeup?" I asked as I faked being surprised.
He grinned as I passed him the eyeshadow,
"you have this one already?" he mentioned,
"no, I don't." I shook my head.
"yes, you do... what's the difference between this and the other one like it?" he looked at me,
"it's just different." I said to him as he passed it back to me,
"what's the difference though!" he exclaimed,
"this is glitterier." I said,
"they're both glittery!" he exclaimed again,
"oh my god..." I threw my head back,
"what?" he asked with a smile and I faced him again and turned my body towards him,
"Grayson." I said and he looked at me playfully before saying yes.
"you're like a child." I laughed,
"I didn't do anything..." he laughed back.
When our gate was called, we made our way to the terminal and then waiting in a line to board.
"I hate queuing..." Grayson groaned,
"I'm used to it." I shrugged.
"this bag is really heavy." He said as I was going to do anything about it,
"what's in there?" I asked him and then he took off his Gucci backpack and opened it to reveal a pair of boots.
"why have you got your Doc's in your bag?" I laughed at how random it was,
"I didn't want to wear my slides when I got there..." he laughed and I was going red from laughing at how casual he thought that was.
"I can't help you there..." I shook my head,
"damn it." He pouted and closed up the bag.
"if anything, ... I would make it worse." I mentioned,
"how?" he said intrigued,
"no reason." I shrugged,
"Ava..." he said in a 'tell me' kind of voice,
"what?" I asked as I widened my eyes to pretend I didn't know what he wanted,
"what do you mean?"
"I just might have a gift for you." I said as I put my hands up to my shoulders to adjust my bag,
"really?" he said as he lit up,
"yeah... but I have to keep it in my bag now since you don't have enough room." I mentioned to him,
he pleaded for the gift so I opened my bag and handed him Fendi box and his eyes were glowing.
He opened up the small yellow box to reveal a navy-blue fold over wallet with the signature bug eyes on the bottom right corner.
"wow." He said and just as he did, his phone rang.
He picked up the call and said it was Ethan but when he answered I heard Ethan talking quite loudly.
"bro... I'll miss you too... we've been away from each other for longer... what? I'm not going to...fine." Grayson said and then he hung up the call.
"Ethan wants me to send him a goodbye snapchat." Gray said,
"sent me it too... I want to see." I laughed.
"anyway... thank you so much for the wallet... I love it." He said as kissed me,
"I felt like you always get me things and it was my turn." I smiled to him.
"I love you so much." he said and I said it back.
We boarded the plane and I watched a film as he began to edit a video. I had decided that I was going to do a short video diary of our trip because after the wedding video was released to the Dolan Twins account, people went crazy and demanded a honeymoon vlog.
Seven hours later and we landed in Paris. With a local time of ten in the morning, Grayson and I were there.
"we're here..." I to him and he smiled back to him.
"heck yeah we are."
