Alex’s POV
I wake up with a pounding headache. The left part of my collarbone is stinging and I don’t know why. Last night was a blur. I just remember laughing at the bar with Niall. I get up to go to the bathroom and pass bar the mirror and catch something on my chest and furrow my eyebrows. I walk back over to the mirror and gasp at what I see.
A tattoo.
“Oh my god” I whisper to myself
It’s all coming back. Stumbling into the tattoo parlor and the stinging of the needle. I study the tattoo more. It’s beautifully inked. The wings are exiqusite. I’m glad that I at least went to a good artist. I start to get light headed and rush to the toilet. I begin to barf and I soon hear footsteps behind me.
“You okay?” Niall asks
I nod. I stop barfing and look up at him.
“W-where’s your tattoo?” I ask
He angles his arm so I can see it. He smirks and he has a big tattoo going down half his arm.
“I like it a lot” I smile
“I like yours a lot” Niall says and rests his forehead against mine
I smile even more and then move away from him so I can brush my teeth.
“What time is it anyways?”
“11” Niall yawns
“I’m going back to bed” I say and walk away

“C’mon! I just showered and we need to visit ‘Champs Elysees’” I say to Niall
“You should have waited for me!” Niall laughs and walks into the bathroom
I take out a pair of peach colored shorts and a plain white shirt. I’m not going to put on any makeup. I blow dryed my hair and I look good I guess. It’s currently 2:30 and I really want to go to Champs Elysees with Niall. I’ve always wanted to visit there.
Why not today?

Keirstyn’s POV
“It’s been a week” I say to Harry, Emma, and Nick
No sign from Alex. What if we never saw her again? I’ve been worried. I have called her about a million times and texted her. I have tweeted her also. So has everybody else. Her dad is worried sick. He has contacted all of us a million times.
“All we can do is hope for the best” Harry says
“What if she just ran off? Have you noticed that Niall isn’t here anymore?” Nicks says
Never thought of that.
“C’mon guys, you really think she would leave her best friends? This is a serious situation” Emma says monotone
Nick does have a good point but the last time I heard is that they got into a huge fight. That Zayn guy did something to cause a fight. Hannah confronted me that she knew that Zayn had crashed into Alex in the car accident. I believe her and Hannah are friends.
“I can’t believe she would miss out on the senior trip” I huff
We’re currently in Paris. We have the rest of the day to roam around. We just have to be back at the hotel by 8:30.
We’re walking around the heart of the city and I’m getting paranoid. There’s a girl with brown hair holding a guy with blonde hair hands. They look a lot like Niall and Alex. The girl turns around and before I know it.
There’s Alex.
“Alex!” I yell and my friends divert their attention on me
Alex’s POV
“I really like our tattoos” I laugh
“We should get another soon” Niall smiles
“I’ll keep that in mind” I kiss him on the cheek
“Alex!” I hear a girl behind yell
Shit. What? Nobody knows me here.
I hear the girl saying my name again and the voice is coming closer.
Before I know it, arms are wrapped around me. I freeze and then I realize who it is. I just remembered that seniors are on the senior trip and the trip is to Paris.
Are you fucking serious?
“Where the hell have you been? We have been so worried!” Keirstyn says harshly
“I went away” I say monotone
“Went away? Seriously?” She snaps and then her eyes go wide
“A tattoo? What has happened to you?” She asks and I can see her eyes filling up with tears
“Yeah, I have gotten one and what do you mean?” I ask
“You leave! Don’t even give an explanation! We were worried, so worried! Everybody thinks you got killed!” she says and soon Nick, Harry, and Emma are behind Keirstyn and are wide eyed
“I had to leave” I mutter
“Why would you leave your best friends and your family?” she asks calmly
“Home was too much for me! There is nothing for me at home!” I say harshly
“We had a reason to leave” Niall butts in
It stays silent for awhile.
“I’ll come home soon” I say
Not. I’m not going back home for a long time.
“At least have a early dinner with us” Harry says
“Alright” Niall smiles

We walked about 5 blocks until we found a small café. It looked really nice inside. We’re seated quickly but we all remain quite.
“When do plan on coming back?” Emma asks
“I don’t know” I weakly smile
“Well how can we contact you?” Nick asks
“Well-“ I begin
“We’re just worried about Alex’s dad finding out” Niall interrupts
“We aren’t going to tell him” Keirstyn says
“I hope not” I mumble
The whole dinner is filled with small talk. All my friends telling me about Prom. I have already been to many high school dances. After dinner we decide to order dessert. We all share it and then everybody starts talking about college.
“Are you even going to college?” Emma asks
I look at her intently.
“I’m just asking. I didn’t mean to be rude and I know you’re happy where you are right now. I’m happy for you” Emma smiles
My nerves calm down. Thank you Emma.
Apparently Emma got excepted into NYU. She has always had straight A’s since middle school. Keirstyn got excepted into WSU. She’s always wanted to go to that college ever since freshmen year. Nick is going to UNI and so is Harry. I’m happy for all of them.

“Please contact us” Keirstyn says and hugs me
I trusted all of them and gave them my number. They start walking back to the hotel and Niall and I catch a taxi. Niall was very distant. I don’t know why but he has.
The taxi pulls in front of the house and Niall and I get out and he still isn’t talking to me. He unlocks the door and goes straight to the bedroom. He changes out of his clothes and turns on the TV and he only has his boxers on. I change into my regular pj’s and stand against the doorframe. He looks at the TV with no emotion.
“What’s wrong?” I ask him and sit on the side of the bed
“Seriously?” he scoffs
“What?” I cock an eyebrow
“I’m holding you back!” he snaps
“What are you talking about?” I ask
“You can go to college! But now you can’t because of me! You even have to hide from your friends and family!” he says and gets out of bed
“Are you seriously going to pull this shit on me? I wanted to come here! I have never been so happy! Keeping me away from family? Are you blind or deaf? You know my family is shit!” I harshly say and follow him to the kitchen
“I need a drink” Niall huffs and grabs the bottle of vodka
“Oh no, no, no, no. You’re not going to drink you’re way out of this! Remember what happened last time?” I say raising my voice
“I’m just holding you back! You can go off to college and get a good job! I want what’s best for you!” he says grabbing the vodka from me
Those words stabbed me in the heart. It was his idea but now he wants me to leave and go back to America to go to college. Is this how much he loves me?
“So what’s best for me isn’t with you?” I ask and I’m on the verge of crying
“I don’t know” he huffs
“No you’re not having this vodka! Don’t drink you’re way out of this situation like last time!” I yell
“Why are you being like this?” I ask
“Because I can” he mumbles
“Please don’t do this” I cry
“I don’t even know why we came here” he says and rolls his eyes
“Because we love each other! Well, I know at least that I love you!” I say
“You think I don’t love you?” he says and gets angry
“Seems like it! Why don’t you want a future with me? Why do you want me to go back to America for college? I’m happy here in Paris and with you! We’re making this work!” I say crying even more
“I love you more than you can even imagine! You’re questioning my love for you? Haven’t I shown you it enough? I try so hard!” he yells
“Then why are you doing this? You’re being such a jerk right now! You’re not suppose to make your girlfriend cry!” I exclaim
“Maybe my girlfriend has emotional problems! All I’m saying is that she needs to get an education” he yells
That’s where it hit the line.
Emotional problems.
“I can’t believe you!”
“I can say the same thing about you!” he says
I storm out of the kitchen and into the bedroom. I grab a small bag and pack some clothes with it. Along with my wallet, phone charger, and gum.
“Where are you going?” Niall says shakily
“Why do you care?” I ask crying
“Listen, I’m sorry, Alex” he says and moves towards me
“Don’t touch me” I whisper
“No, you can’t leave. I won’t let you” Niall says and grabs my arm as I try to walk out the door
“Don’t touch me!” I say
“You can’t just wonder around in Paris at night alone!” he says raising his voice
“Watch me” I say and wiggle out of his grip
“Alex, no! Don’t leave! Please! I fucked up okay? I love you!” he cries
I ignore and run down the sidewalk.
I hear an echo that’s calling my name and I just cry more.

Niall’s POV
“Goddammit!” I yell and hit the wall with my fist
I fucked up big time.
