Alex’s POV
“Alex!” I hear a manly voice say
I turn to see my brother Austin. I guess he came back from college!
“Austin!” I yell and run towards him
“Hey sis” he says and hugs me
“I’ve missed you! How’s college?” I ask
“It’s great!” he says excitingly
Austin is one of the smartest people I have ever met. He got a full scholarship to NYU. He’s studying law and he’s gonna be a brilliant lawyer.
“So I’m guessing you have a boyfriend” Austin nudges me
“Yeah I do” I smile and Niall soon comes up and wraps an arm around my waist
“Hey, I’m Austin” Austin says and reaches his hand out
“I’m Niall” Niall says and shakes Austin’s hand
“So does dad know you have a boyfriend?” Austin asks and cocks an eyebrow
“No. Niall’s dad actually works for dad. That’s how we actually met” I smile
“That’s another great thing about being in college! No more lame ass dinner parties!” Austin laughs
“Don’t rub it in!” I laugh
“So does mom know you’re in town?” I ask
“Nope! I plan on keeping it that way” Austin says
I just laugh and Niall joins in.
“So I hear you got into car accident 2 weeks ago” Austin says and looks at my cast
“Yeah but I feel a lot better” I say
“I need to give you your birthday present but I dropped my suitcase off at the house before I came and it’s in my bag” Austin says
“Sweet” I say
“Are you still that bad ass frat boy?” I laugh
“I’m a bigger one now” Austin laughs
“Austin, Alex! Come in here! Meet me in the meeting room” I hear my dad yell
“C’mon, babe” I say and grab Niall’s hand
Soon Niall, Austin, and I walk upstairs to the meeting room and we see all the salesmen sitting at the long desk. My dad is at the head of the table with a file in his hand.
“Alright, you know that next week is the big convention in Las Vegas. That’s where a lot of our business comes from. I’m choosing 5 salesmen from this state branch of the corporation to go. In all, there will be 60 men going. A lot I know but this is going to be bigger this year. The men that are going are
Steve Jones
Mac Waters
Bobby Horan
John Moore
and Josh Roberts. Thank you and you guys are dismissed” my dad says and everybody but the 5 salesmen leave
My dad rambles on and on about business stuff.
“Dad, why did you call us up?” I ask
“We leave Friday morning. Alex I talked to your school and since you have enough credits and you completed the SATs and ACTs you can graduate early. Well not graduate, but don’t have to go school. It’s unnesscary” my dad says
