I adjusted the lace sleeve which was a part of my burgundy T-bar plunging dress. Then, I loosened the buckle on my ballet flats because high heels are over-rated and pretty much pointless when you're tall. Grayson stepped out of the room with a pair of black skinny ripped jeans on and a navy button up shirt. He had used my hairspray to positon his hair and had borrowed a pair of my brother's black suede boots, which he had left here from University.
"wow, my boyfriend beats then all with his hotness," I said smiling and raising my eyebrow,
"wow yourself... you look flawless," he said as looked me up and down,
"you're making me blush," I said quietly and then we waited around downstairs for the taxi to get here.
Oscar was asleep already on the armchair as the taxi arrived. We hopped in and then we were driven to the nightclub to meet all of the other people who were waiting outside for us to get there,
"Ava!" Chloe shouted as we got out of the taxi, "you brought hottie!" she said even louder and made Grayson start to laugh,
someone turned around and looked confused at Grayson, I couldn't tell if she recognised him or was wondering whether he was hot or not. Answer: majorly hot.
"do you think she knows you?" I said to him and slyly pointed to the girl who was looking at him,
"I don't know but I feel as though tonight might not be so good if people recognise me." He said as he crouched a bit to whisper in my ear.
We all paid and made our way into the club. The music blared as we made our way down a long hallway and into a dark and smokey room. Where were we?
"you've been here before, right?" Grayson shouted to me,
"no... never." I shouted back over the loud music.
We entered the room and lazer lights shot all around the room as a dj played dance music in the background.
"let's get our freak on!" Emily shouted as she headed over to the bar in a trail of screams.
Grayson and I stayed behind because I had decided against drinking tonight, although I knew that it was going to be a long night without any alcohol. At the end of the day, you don't need alcohol to have a good time, it just makes you a bit crazy.
"wanna dance?" he asked me as his hands wrapped around my waist,
"sure... but you must know I have a boyfriend, so keep it PG." I said smiling as he guided me into the crowds of people.
The woman from outside who could be not much older than us was right by our side with her phones flash on and possibly recording us as we danced,
"you guys drinking?" she shouted and we both shook our heads as if to say 'no'.
"you going to?"
again, we said no.
"its Grayson and Ava! At an underage nightclub... how illegal!" She shouted to her phone
"hey." I said to her,
"chill." She laughed and then put her phone down slightly,
"can you stop filming us please?" I asked loud enough for her to hear,
"what?"
"I said: can you stop filming us please?"
"I don't know what you said..." she said slurring her words after only being in here for about twenty minutes,
"just leave her." Grayson said as he took my hand and started leading me away from her,
"aww... does the brain-dead model need her man to take her away from a cat fight?" she shouted in a baby voice,
I shook my head as Grayson's face went bright red, which should be hard to see but the colour it went was unmissable.
"just keep going." I said to him as I patted him on the back to lead on,
"keep on walking gorilla Grayson!"
he led me over to the bar where Emily had grabbed herself a martini and Chloe was taking a shot quicker than a jet storming through the sky.
"I need some air." Grayson said as he adjusted his shirt,
"want me to-"
"no thanks." He cut me off,
"what was that all about?" Lauren asked as he hopped over to us with Logan wrapped around her like a ring on a finger,
"some girl with a camera filming and tormenting us over there..."
"serves you right." Logan muttered but it was loud enough for me to hear,
"I'm sorry?"
"nothing." He said looking down at his feet.
"I'm going to see Grayson." I said to everyone and then left the club.
I weaved my way in and out of the scattered people who were standing on the slippery floor as I looked for the exit. When I stepped outside, I saw Grayson sitting on a ledge on the outside of the building,
"sorry." He said as his breathing calmed a bit,
"what?" I asked because I didn't know what he was even apologising for,
"I'm just a bit shaken up." He said breathing slowly but they came out as more of a sigh than a breath.
"wanna' go somewhere else?" I asked him because this wasn't either of our kinds of scenes. It was nothing like the type of festival scene that I had envisioned a nightclub to be.
"yeah, please." He said and then stood up.
The two of us wandered around for a while as we looked for some places to go and hang out but we ended up getting the train home.
"I need to tell you something." I said as we sat down on the train,
"yeah, what is it?"
"I think Logan still likes me..." I blurted which I knew was a bad idea but in the end, was better than left as a secret.
"oh." He said sharply, "he has a girlfriend though, right?" he asked looking into my eyes,
"yeah... and she's obsessed with him in the best way and she's madly in love with him so I don't know why he would be so weird with me." I said shaking my head.
"what's made you think this?"
"the last time I saw him, he said he was jealous..." I recalled,
"hm." Grayson said, "well, people want what they can't have." Then he wrapped his arm around me.
