Ringo walked inside their home and yelled to the others in the house that they were home. Paul entered and Ringo told him to sit on the couch. George and Landon came down, Ashley followed.
"Well?" Landon asked.
"He's got it bad, but with some help he can get it back. The doctor said that he will reclaim his memory in a few days, it will gradually come around. You'll start noticing a change when he begins to recall names easier." Mrs. Williams explained.
"Oh that reminds me. My mum just went out to go by you some food, she's bring it back. Should be back now."
"Ah, she didn't have to do that."
"She wanted to."
"Tell her thank...well i can tell her that."
"You know vie been thinking." George began to say.
"Oh no George has been thinking!" Ringo looked a bit scared.
"Sh. Well anyways. This person is wanting to stop the band. Well, Paul's...uh, problem wont stop him from learning bass again!"
"If he can do it." Ringo said.
"What do you mean? It would be simple."
"Yes his head is very simple. Very. Like 17 years ago."
"Not that young Ringo." Mrs. Williams said.
"Well he acts like it."
"He acts how he was when he was 4. Thats it."
"Its still simple mind."
"Ringo. Dont make jokes."
"Well Paul and John do it to me all the time."
"This isn't something to make fun of."
"Fine. Sorry." Ringo said. He was supposed to be acting as the oldest, since he was.
"Why did we come back here?" Paul looked at Ringo, who just shrugged.
"You live here." He finally said.
"Paul, do you remember how you got here?" Landon asked.
Paul shook his head.
The front door opened and Landon's mum came in with some to-go food.
"Hello, how is he?" She said Mrs. Williams.
"Not to go. Hit his head pretty good, no stitches thankfully." Their mum took the bags from Landon's mum and placed it on the table.
George came running back downstairs with Paul's bass.
"Here Paul, look at this. Do you remember it?"
"Ooh." Paul looked fascinated by it.
"Here you put it here and your hands go here." George put Paul's hands in the right positions for him.
"Now put a finger on here." George pushed Paul's finger down on the strings. Paul looked at George.
"Is this mine?" He asked.
"Yes."
"Your nice." Paul laughed.
George nodded and smiled. "Now...Paul look here," George pointed to Paul's left hand. Paul obeyed. "Now pluck this string."
Paul plucked it and he smiled. "I played something!" He exclaimed.
"Yeah! Good now. Play-"
"George don't push it on him to hard." His mum said.
"No, he wants to play it, don't ch'ya Paul?"
Paul bit his lip as he put a finger on the spot George directed him to play and looked up. "Yeah!"
"See."
"Alright. At least he still likes that."
"They seem to like things they did when they had their memory. Thats somewhat how Landon was." Landon's mum told her.
"Um, uh, hey." Paul tried to get George's attention back.
"Im George."
"Okay, um what do i do next?" He asked.
"Play the two you just learned then play this." George directed his 4th finger to a string.
"Im hungry." Paul laid back on the couch.
"Alright, foods here." Mrs Williams said.
Paul jumped up and hurried over to the table and sat down and waited patiently for his food. Landon and Ringo went to the table and got out the food. George put the bass back upstairs. The phone rang and Mrs. Williams went to answer it.
"Paul, just wait." Ringo told Paul, who was reaching for the container with chips.
"But im hungry." He pouted.
Landon let out a small chuckle and looked at Ringo.
"He's good at pouting." Ringo directed his statement at Landon, then looked at Paul. "Thats not going to work on me. No puppy dog eyes."
Paul sighed and rested his elbows on the table. George came back down and sat down next to Paul. Ashley got the plates out.
"Alright, Paul, make sure you like this before tasting it." Ringo put some food on Paul's plate.
"His taste buds are bad to?" Ashley asked.
"Well, not really, i mean his brain will tell him that he doesn't like that so he wont eat it."
"Ill eat what ever he doesn't eat." George spoke up and patted Paul's back. Paul let out a little laugh and stuffed a chip in his mouth.
They all sat down and ate.
"Hows John mum?" Ringo asked.
"Hes, getting along. Marin is coming home, but John is having some surgery, they were making sure it was okay."
"What happened?" Ashley asked.
"Shattered. They will repair it in no time." Mrs. Williams forced a smile, but was a bit worried about the two boys. She looked at Paul who was happily enjoying his meal. He looked up and smiled, she smiled back. "Like it Paulie?"
Paul nodded.
---------------------
George got into his bed and turned on his music. He looked over at Paul who was hugging his dog, which John gave to him a long time ago. Then George's eyes moved over to Ringo, who was doing something on the computer. George sighed and shoved the covers off him and got out.
"Ill be back."
"Keep quiet, you'll wake Paul up."
George shrugged and walked downstairs. Marin was downstairs with their mum.
"Hey Georgie." Their mum greeted George as he sat down next to her.
"Hey."
"Is something wrong?"
"No...well, im just kind of...i don't know. I feel sorry for Paul and John. They get all the attacks on them. Why don't we get hurt too? Me and Ringo that is."
"George, id rather that not happen to you."
"Yeah i know but why does everything have to be taken out on them. Its like...i don't know."
"Whats Paul like? I never really saw him."
"Just like he was as a 4 year old." George stated.
"Aw."
"Not as sweet as you think." George rolled his eyes.
"Why? Because he's getting all the attention and your not."
"Oh im used to that all ready!"
"Thats true, he is known as the Cute Beatle."
"And im known as the Quiet Beatle! What an understatement."
"Don't tell me tell them."
"Mummy."
"Paul, what is it?"
"Im scared."
"Of what?"
"Scared."
"Sit with Marin."
"I want to sit with you."
"George then."
Paul nodded and sat next to George, who put an arm around him.
"Well im gonna go to bed." Marin stood up and stretched.
"Good night sweetie."
"Night, mum." Marin kissed her and then went upstairs, after saying good night to her brothers.
"Why don't you take Paul up stairs." Their mum said.
"Are you okay, mum?" George asked.
"Im fine. Just need some sleep."
"Alright. Come along Paulie. Ill protect you." George got up and held his hand out for Paul.
"I wanna stay with you." Paul pointed to their mum.
"He can sleep with me. Its fine. Come ed Paul." She said and he took her hand. "Good night George."
"Night." George smiled and went upstairs.
--------------
John woke up to a bright room. White all around him. His eyes adjusted to the brightness of the hospital. He remembered why he was here. He was shot and had surgery of some sort. John felt a bit of pain in his shoulder but tried to forget about it. He still felt a bit tired.
"Good morning John." A smiley nurse entered with a tray of breakfast food.
"Thats for me?"
"Yep." She msiled.
"Thanks." John used his hand that was free to eat.
"Um, John, you know what happened to you?" She asked.
"yes i do. I was shot."
"Well, i mean its similar to John Lennon's murder in the 80s."
"Oh...it is?"
"No necessarily but close. And you look and sound ilke him. And are in that band. I just...be careful."
"Oh don't worry i try! I was actually shot with my dad's gun."
"Oh it was yours?"
"yeah, me and Paul went on a walk, then we met Landon, my friend, and we continued to walk. Then Paul hit his head and was out. I hope he's okay."
"I could call for ya, and you could talk."
"Oh i'd like that. Thanks." John grinned.
"Want anything else?"
"No thanks."
The nurse went out and came back with John's mobile phone. John dialed the house and got an answer from there mum. She told him about Paul and his condition then she asked about John. He told her that he was okay, a little pain but not much.
"Oh the doctor said you will be able to leave tomorrow." The nurse whispered to John.
"Oh and i will be able to get out of here tomorrow! So i cant wait to be home." John added. "Yes ma'am. Okay by. Oh wait can you put Paul on the phone? Thanks. Hey Paul?...hey...its John, remember me?...No?...Well i know you...How are you?...Thats nice...You didn't? ...Thats great!" John put his hand over the speaker on the phone and said to the nurse:
"He said he just learned to play something on the bass George got him." John chuckled the nurse did too.
"Hey Paul? You still there? Okay...what you eating?...mm sounds good...no Paul i cant smell it threw the phone...no i've had eggs before...yes...oh okay, bye." John hung up the phone. "He's so clueless. Im used to 19 Paul. Oh well." John shook his head.
"It'll get better. In no time."
"Reallly?"
"Just spend lots of time with him. If its a minor case then it will go away in no time."
"Oh. Well i don't know what it is really."
"I hope everything works out for you."
"Yeah, me too." John smiled a little.
"Well ill see you later." She got up to leave.
"Okay thanks."
"Get some rest!" She yelled.
John chuckled and shook hi head and laid down. Soon falling asleep.
