This morning I felt that there could be a slight chance that a new beginning could possibly start. It may not be amending with Francesca or my other friends, but I feel like my life is suppose to start anew with Diego by my side.
As I get to the studio I can see how it's quite the opposite. Walking to my locker I felt a pair of eyes on me at all times. Step by step closer to my locker I finally understand the reason of me being everyone's focal point. A flyer has been passed and taped around the entire studio, and I can see it a giant poster on my locker.
I never thought the word would get around that I have become a boyfriend klepto. The funny part is that Tomas wasn't Fran's boyfriend at the time, but I guess that detail didn't even matter.
Diego appears besides me.
"I can't be someone would do this. It's so immature I can't stand it." [Diego]
"Shouldn't I be the one getting angry?" [Vilu]
"Then why aren't you?" [Diego]
"Because I know exactly who did this. It doesn't surprise me. Besides for me to become a boyfriend klepto, shouldn't I have stolen a boyfriend. Tomas was not dating Francesca at the time, so it is completely inaccurate." [Vilu]
"It's incredible how you managed to brush this off as if it is nothing." [Diego]
"The person who did this tries to get an arousal from me. If I do then it makes them that powerful, if I don't give in then all it really is, is nothing. Just that person's waste of time." [Vilu]
"I guess Francesca's plan back fired on her." [Diego]
"Francesca didn't do this." [Vilu]
"How are you certain? She hates you right now and she has every reason to try and make your life miserable." [Diego]
"I know Francesca very well. She would want me to feel guilty, not insecure. Ludmilla did the flyer trying to get me to dislike Fran even more, not wanting me to fix our friendship. Trust me, I am lot smarter then that."[Vilu]
"Impressed." [Diego]
As we continue to smile at each other Pablo enters the main entrance, and gathers everyone around.
"Student! I have an announcement!" [Pablo]
Didn't sound very pleasant news from Pablo's tone. He picks up one of the flyers nearby and holds it in the air to showcase to everyone paying attention.
"THIS...IS CERTAINLY UNEXCEPTABLE HERE AT THE STUDIO. WE ARE HERE TO LEARN AND GROW IN OUR PASSION OF MUSIC. THIS BEHAVIOR WILL NOT BE REWARDED. IN FACT WHOEVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS WILL BE GIVEN A SEVERE CONSEQUENCE. IF THE PERSON DOES NOT GAIN OWNERSHIP OF HIS OR HER ACTIONS WE WILL FIND OUT OURSELVES. NOW EVERYONE GET TO CLASS." [Pablo]
I may not take this seriously, but Pablo does. I can understand why. This kind of behavior sends the wrong reputation to the studio and can drive away new enrollment. Not the kind of publicity that the studio needs if they want to become a success.
Diego and I walk behind Pablo to get to our first class, but Pablo calls my name. I motion for Diego to get to class, even though he didn't want to. I knew Pablo wanted to talk to me about this, and get the full story as to why would anyone do this. And who is responsible for the scheme.
"Violetta. Do you know what is behind this?" [Pablo]
I see the flyer in his hand.
"Yes, I do. An incident happened between Francesca and I. I helped out a friend of hers, Tomas Heredia for his exam in Beto's class. During the tutoring session he tried kissing me, but nothing really happened. Francesca believes Tomas's story which is a lie and now she resents me for it. Now the person who did this flyer obviously knows the dramatic story and wants to grab attention to it." [Vilu]
"So Francesca did this?" [Pablo]
"No it's Ludmilla." [Vilu]
"Why Ludmilla? Are you sure?" [Pablo]
"I don't have any evidence of certainty that it was Ludmilla, but I do have instinctive feeling. Besides through the time of being friends with Francesca I know she will want me to feel guilty, but she couldn't be capable of drawing attention to the situation like this." [Vilu]
"I appreciate the honesty. I will certainly get to the bottom of this. How are doing?" [Pablo]
"The flyer doesn't really bother me. However not being able to have my friends by my side kind of makes me feel lonely. But Diego has been a great supporter, I have my teachers to go to if I need anything, I have Angie here, and of course my dad." [Vilu]
"I'm glad to here it. I will give you a pass into class." [Pablo]
So the day carries on. While Pablo investigates this morning's incident, I forget about the whole thing. However it my opinion Francesca, Camilla and the gain did not. I kept getting glares from them during class, and the kind of stare of concern. Looking to see if I would crack or wait to see if any of them will get called to the Pablo's office. The only one who got called out was of course Ludmilla.
In between class I took a break to the restrooms where I end up bumping into Fran. It was quite awkward and silent, but give a few more minutes and Fran starts up a conversation.
"What did Pablo wanted from you this morning?" [Fran]
"Just to talk about the flyer." [Vilu]
"You told him that Ludmilla did it, thus why she got called out of class. Why didn't you blamed it on me? I would have if I was in your situation." [Fran]
"Because through everything going on between the two of us, I know who you are Fran. You may get jealous, angry and upset. Make me want to feel guilty for what you believe I did. Inside I know you wouldn't want me to feel less for myself. On the other hand, Ludmilla would do anything to continue separating us further apart. It was clear who made up the flyers." [Vilu]
"Through everything I appreciate it." [Fran]
I finished drying my hands and gave her a soft, friendly smile. I knew this meant a lot to her, to know that I don't hate her even though she has pushed away all my friends. Someday she will forgive me or when the truth finds out she will understand. When that day comes we are going to be best of friends and become closer.
- - - - (CAMILLA'S POV) - - - -
Seeing all the posters around the school of Violetta and the horrible names people are calling her I can't bare it any longer. Violetta doesn't deserve this kind of treatment.
Everyone meet together in front of Angie's classroom. We couldn't stop talking about the flyers.
"I can't believe someone would actually do this." [Maxi]
"I know." [Fran]
Everyone gives Fran a questionable look.
"I didn't do it. I may not like Violetta right now, but I wouldn't feed in the drama like this." [Fran]
"If it wasn't you then who else could possible want to hurt Violetta?" [Leon]
We then see Violetta walking into the studio. She looks completely helpless as to why everyone has their eyes locked on her. Shakenly, she walks to her locker to find a giant poster of the flyers glued to the front of her locker. I couldn't read her expression, it wasn't pain or hurt. I don't know what Violetta is thinking or how she is feeling. All I know is I want to ask her how she is doing.
After Pablo's announcement and few classes gone by, I sit out in the courtyard on a bench thinking about the good times. When it was my three friend; Me, Francesca and Violetta. Now in days it doesn't feel the same.
I then feel a warm presence beside me. I snapped myself out of my thoughts to see who it was, and it was Broadway.
"Babe, what's wrong?" [Broadway]
"I'm just thinking. How everything is different. I miss how things were Broadway." [Cami]
"I understand. Have you tried to talk to Violetta after what happened with the whole Tomas situation?" [Broadway]
"No. I want to, but I am afraid that Fran will end angry at me too." [Cami]
"Cami, Francesca and Violetta are your best friends. If Francesca can't understand that you can't choose a side, then maybe she isn't really your best friend." [Broadway]
"How can you say that Broadway? I've known Fran since kindergarden. If I talk to Vilu, she will never forgive me for my betrayal. Never." [Cami]
"Tell Fran how you feel, you may be surprised. She might be ok with it, just need to talk to her." [Broadway]
"You're right. I need to Fran to understand my point of view. Then I will go talk with Vilu. Thanks Broadway." [Cami]
"All I want it to see you happy, Cami." [Broadway]
I kiss him to show how much I appreciated our talk and his support.
Later on in the day I see Vilu stopping by her locker. Before I could reach her Fran had stopped me in the process.
"Cami. I hope you weren't going to go talk to Vilu." [Fran]
"I was heading towards me locker. Besides, why would talking to Vilu be such a bad thing?" [Cami]
"Because she's a liar. And she will end up trying to steal Broadway from you, similar to how she attempted to steal my Tommy." [Fran]
"Fran, you and I both know that Violetta would never try to steal any of our guys. It's not like there is actually proof that Violetta did what Tomas claims she did. We might be wrong." [Cami]
"No Cami, I saw Tomas's face. Everything he said seems to be adding up. Compared to Violetta, I thought I could trust her, but she proved me wrong." [Fran]
"If that's how you feel, I will stand by you. But don't expect me to also believe Tomas. I have my own opinions and I can't choose a side because I don't know who to believe." [Cami]
"You are seriously considering about being Violetta's friend again. Cami, remember I told about that. You can't be Violetta's friend and also mine. You have to choose." [Fran]
"That's the thing Fran. Best friends wouldn't make their other best friend choose between her friends. I have every right to be Violetta's friend, she hurt you Fran and you have every right to dislike her. But don't allow me to ruin my friendship with her over your pain. It's not right." [Cami]
"What's not right is that you are choosing her over your best friend. We've known each other since kindergarden, but I guess none of that matters." [Fran]
"Of course I care and of course that matters. But what you are doing to me is unfair and very selfish. I don't like what I am about to say.... If you continue acting the way you are, I don't want to your best friend anymore. You've changed into nearly another Ludmilla, I feel I lost my best friend." [Cami]
I walk away before she could say something that would only hurt me. As I make my way closer to Vilu I pause to see her and Diego. Together.
- - - - (VIOLETTA'S POV) - - - -
I'm at my locker putting back notebooks and grabbing new notebooks for my upcoming classes. Out of nowhere the studio lights get dim. I become a bit nervous not knowing what is happening. Then from somewhere behind me a projection appears over me and I stare into a bright light. As I back away from the light I see the projection on top of my locker. It was a sketch of me with my name. It was the most beautiful image of seen of myself, better than any picture I keep in my photo albums.
I can't stop admiring the projection. Neither could anyone else. After five minutes, it disappears and the lights go back to its normal setting. All I can think about is who did it? Who was the one to draw that incredible sketch? And who was brave enough to display it in front of everyone through the form of a projection?
From my peripheral vision I see Diego approaching me, and he places both hands on my waist. Twisting me to meet his eyes.
"Did you like it?" [Diego]
I cock my head at him.
"You did that? You were the one you displayed that amazing drawing?" [Vilu]
"Yes. Did you like it?" [Diego]
"I loved it. I loved the way you showcased it and I love the drawing." [Vilu]
"Good, because I also did the sketch. Although I did have some help, it was all my idea." [Diego]
"Thank you. Do you have the drawing with you?" [Vilu]
"It's in my locker. You want it." [Diego]
"Yes. I want to frame it and hang it somewhere in my room." [Vilu]
"Alright I'll go get it." [Diego]
"I'll meet you at your locker, I have to use the ladies room first." [Vilu]
We went in separate directions. While in the bathroom, Camilla was also there. She gave me a desparate look of needing to talk.
"Vilu.... I need to talk to you." [Cami]
I shake my head in agreement. Knowing Cami she probably wants to apologize for the way she has been treating me. I know Fran made her not talk to me, probably gave her as an ultimatum. Me or her? That is not fair.
"I know that we haven't talked and that is mostly my fault. Fran believes...." [Cami]
"That since you were friends longer than you and I were that you should automatically side with her." [Vilu]
"Yes. I'm sorry for not sticking up for you earlier against Fran. I hope someday you can forgive me. I really missed talking to you, you listen better than Francesca ever did." [Cami]
"Cami it's alright. I've already forgiven you." [Vilu]
"Really? How come?" [Cami]
"Because I know exactly what happened. The only reason she is deciding with Tomas is because she is really wanting someone to take notice in her romantically. That is no excuse for running a friendship, but when the full truth is revealed only then can things go back to the way things were." [Vilu]
"I agree, but you don't deserve the treatment Fran gives you. If you need help in proving you're not guilty you can count on me. Me, Broadway and Leon." [Cami]
"Leon? Why did you mentioned Leon?" [Vilu]
"Because he is one out of the few people that believe you are telling the truth." [Cami]
"He hasn't told me, in fact, he hasn't talked to me since everyone heard about what happened. I thought he believed everyone else." [Vilu]
"No. He stands by you 100%, but you are always around Diego. Leon doesn't trust Diego at all and he can't stand it that you are always around him or that he is always around you. That's why he hasn't talked to you lately." [Cami]
"He could have called." [Vilu]
"Didn't you forget that he has a girlfriend to worry about. Which included late night dates and phone calls. Speaking of dates, how are things between you and Diego?" [Cami]
"Nothing at all. We are just friends." [Vilu]
"Well for someone who is just a friend, that display in the hallway didn't look like he wants to be only your friend." [Cami]
"He is trying to help me overcome this break with between friends. He has been the only person that I knew who could make me happy the past couple of days. Now that I have you, Broadway and Leon also supporting me I am the most happy I've been." [Vilu]
"Well then I am glad. But you will tell me if something happens between the two of you?" [Cami]
"I will say this. He did ask if he had a chance of going out with the night at Karaoke." [Vilu]
"Did you respond back?" [Cami]
"No. Right afterwards the issue with Tomas and Francesca occurred and I haven't been able to give it much thought. The more I get to know him Cami, the more that I feel I want to say yes. To take a chance at what is between us." [Vilu]
"When are you going to tell him?" [Cami]
"Once this situation with Francesca blows over then I will find the right moment to tell him how I feel." [Vilu]
We both screech in excitement and gave each other a hug. That is something that I've missed. Hugging my best friend, well a girly best friend. Diego's hugs help too, but it's not the same when you have a girl best friend hugging you. It's like hugging a sister, and I have one of my sisters back. Now I have enough strength to expose Tomas and to tell Fran the entire truth.
