Judy was more confident than ever that Nick was strong against the pulling motion of Angel. She likewise began to take pity on the girl after hearing about her family crisis. Judy could most definitely relate to her. Her parent's rejection, misunderstandings and annoying arguments, Judy couldn't help but want to try to get to know Angel.

Noticing that Angel and Nick were sitting together in a different room, Judy pushed her emotions aside and approached them. She knocked on the door, coming in. "Hey guys."

Angel and Nick looked up at her. "Hey, Carrot, how are you doing?"

"I'm doing fine. I just wanted to check up on you both." Judy pulled a chair over to where Nick was sitting and sat with him.

"Well, I'm teaching Angel how to scan for evidence that are available." He gave her a card. "Just scan this card into the machine, and it will tell you what evidence is available for that particular case."

"Okay." Following instruction, Angel took the card and cautiously placed the card on the machine, which scanned it and popped up a screen of results.

"See? Pretty simple right. Technology." He chuckled.

"Yeah, it is!" Angel smiled amused.

Judy stared at Angel and smiled. I guess she isn't as bad as she seems.

"Hey, do you mind if I talk to Angel in private for a bit?"

Nick and Angel broke off their conversation.

"Hmm?" She looked a bit confused.

"What's wrong Carrot, did something happen?"

"Oh, no! I just...wanted to just talk to her briefly about something." Judy explained.

Nick turned to Angel, back at Judy. "Well, okay. Go right ahead." He stood from his seat, taking his leave out of the room. "But don't take too long, because Chief Bogo will be coming here any minute to check up on us."

"Don't worry, I won't take long." Judy assured.

Hearing the door shut, Judy scooted over to Angel, who simply arched an eyebrow at her. "So...about your family."

"What about them?" Angel asked defensively.

Judy fiddled her thumbs. "Well, I can relate to your emotions. I had to go through the same issues about three weeks ago..."

Angel gasped. "Really???"

Judy rubbed her arm. "Yeah...it really wasn't a pretty sight. But anyways, I'm not going to go into depth about what I did and what they did...I'm just saying that, if you need someone to talk to about your family problems, you can come to me, if you don't mind."

"Are you serious?" The glint in Angel's eyes perceived her to be really touched by Judy's offer.

"Yeah, honestly. In the ZPD, we look out for each other." Judy stretched her arm out. "What do you say?"

Angel looked down at Judy's paw, back at her face. She slowly took her hand and shook it. "Okay. Thanks a lot."

"Anything for a friend." Judy smiled.

Judy noticed how shocked Angel was when she called her a friend. Judy got up, running backward to the door. "Well, I'll just let you and Nick get back to it. I'll see you guys later!" Judy waved goodbye, opening the door.

Nick was leaning on the wall with his hands dug deep in his police pockets. His eyes were closed and he just stood there. Judy stepped in front of him. Before she was able to say something, Nick took her by her chin, and hushed her. "Shh...don't say anything."

Puzzled by his demeanor, Judy stood, waiting for something to happen.

"You hear that...?" Nick whispered.

Judy shook her head.

"It's the sound of my heart beating for you."

Judy blushed profusely, pulling away. "Hey, are you trying to flrit with me on the job?" She grinned, nudging him in his stomach.

"Maybe?" Nick smirked, opening his eyes. "So what did you tell her?"

"I just told her that she can come to me if she needed help with family issues."

"Now, don't go telling her to try and get revenge on them. Vengeance isn't the key."

"Well of course not!" Judy spoke.

Nick smiled, petting her. "Good girl."

"Well, I'm gonna leave you both be. I got stuff to do too."

"Alright, see you sweetie, I already miss you!" Nick waved goodbye.

"I miss you too darling, behave yourself!"

"I'd only misbehave around you, rawr." Nick winked.

Judy couldn't help but roll her eyes with a smile planted behind it.

After work was done, Judy met up with Nick. "So where would you like to go?"

"How about...to...my place?" Nick suggested.

"That isn't a half bad idea." Judy poked his nose.

Arriving at the door, Nick opened up, inviting her inside. His eyes wandered around the apartment in haste. Within his peripheral vision, he noticed something shimmering lying about carelessly. "Uh oh."

Nick spun around, pushing Judy into the living room. "Hey!"

Nick scurried over to the kitchen table, scooping up the diamond ring. He sighed in relief.

Judy peered into the kitchen. "What's wrong Nick?"

"N-Nothing dear! I just thought I saw a roach. I didn't think you'd like to see a roach."

Judy giggled, trying to conceal her laughter. "That was all? Do you really think I'm scared of roaches?"

"Well, duh."

Judy put on a poker face.

"What? I was just trying to protect you." Nick shrugged.

"Right." Judy looked him up and down and went back to the living room.

Nick held his chest in relief. He looked at the ring, rubbing it with a cloth, finding the box on the table. He carefully placed the ring into its case and closed it, shoving it in his pocket. "If Judy saw that, I'd be pissing all over my bed tonight."

"So Judy, tell me. Do you still have and fears?"

"Fears? Why?" Judy asked bemused.

"Oh nothing, I just wanted to make sure I was aware of your needs."

Judy pondered for a bit. "No, not what I know of."

"Hmm...is that so?"

Judy nodded.

"Okay."

The rabbit cocked an eyebrow at the mysterious fox. "Okay?"

Nick turned to Judy and winked.

"Nick! Stop winking at me!"

"Aww, why?"

"Because winking is a sign of flirting!" Judy hissed.

"Well maybe I do wanna flirt."

"Oh please." Judy elbowed Nick.

"Uh, hey!"

"---Like as if I'd flirt with you, Nick."

Nick gloomed at Judy's casual response.

Judy rolled her eyes. "Don't give me that look Nick."

Nick continued is pouting. "Nick." Judy sighed.

Nick wouldn't respond.

"Baby," Judy took Nick's face and kissed his nose. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to be harsh."

Nick smiled. "Oh, so you're just good at it huh?"

"Of course not!" Judy cried.

"It's okay, you got your smug ways from me. No need to be bashful with your new personality."

"Oh please..." Judy grumbled.

Nick lay down on her lap. "I'm pretty bummed tonight."

"Really?"

"Mhm..." Nick yawned.

"Oh no don't start the..." Judy yawned. "...yawning."

"Sorry I couldn't help it..." Nick yawned once more.

Judy then yawned again. "Awggh... Naaack!" Nick leapt and kissed Judy.

Judy's eyes bulged with shock. Her yawn was cut off. "Nick!"

"There, your yawning has officially ended." Nick chuckled.

"Yeah yeah, okay!" Judy lay down and decided that sleep was the best thing to do. "Good night, Nick."

"Good night, Carrot."

Judy kicked Nick off the couch.

"Seriously???" Nick cried.

"I'm sorry, I just thought you forgot that you should be sleeping on the other couch." Judy reached for Nick's paw. Nick gladly took her and pulled her off the couch on to him. "Hah."

"Hey!" She squealed.

"Next time, I'll have to teach you a lesson. This is just a minor consequence."

"Hmm, I'll take that into consideration next time."

"Hah, you better." Nick stuck his tongue out, and pressed Judy's head to his chest.

They fell fast asleep.
