Tatiana's POV
"Because I'm in love with you...." he says staring in my eyes.
I try to speak, but I can't get my mouth to form the words. I furrow my eyebrows slightly looking down.
Oh my god. I assumed he either was just trying to be there, or had a slight crush on me....but in love?
"Fuck, not this...."
"I love you." he says staring in my eyes. "I loved you back in school..." he says staring at me, as I stare at a wad of gum on the sidewalk. "I loved you when the odds were against you. I love you, Tatiana..."
I look up at him to speak, as he reaches his hand out tracing my jawline gently. I feel his breath on my face and I feel myself freeze gently putting my hand on his chest to keep him from coming further.
"Paul..." I whisper softly my head down. "I can't."
"Then I'll wait...." he says his face softening.
"Paul, I still love--"
"I know." he says quietly. "And I know he loves you....in his strange way." he mumbles.
I bite my tongue, to hold back a response.
"Then why do you keep--"
"Trying?" he chuckles lightly, with a hint of sadness.
"Because...." he looks up and sighs looking away. "I loved you for a long time." he says quietly. "And time won't let me go. Why won't you let him go?" he says staring at me. "I never treated you badly. I never abandoned you. I never hurt you."
"Paul...." I whisper. "My heart belongs to--"
"Don't say it..." he swallows hard burying his hands in his pockets. "I just don't get you."
I look up at him tearfully. Paul after all was my best friend, and he was there for me through everything and anything. He shakes his head as he begins to walk away toward his car.
"Paul please...." I say tearfully walking after him. "You don't understand...."
He spins around staring at me, with his blue eyes glazed over. "I don't understand?!" he says his voice cracking lightly. "I understand that I love you, and you are going after a fucking asshole who didn't give a shit about you, when you could've been six feet under! He isn't the one for you! I am!" he yells. "God do you know how much you love you?! And I always tried to prove myself to you?!"
"Paul---" I say shakily hearing him yell as tears go down my face.
"I fucking went against my family! To protect you! My father!" he yells. I freeze and looks up at him slowly.
"W-what are you talking about?" I whisper.
"You know your buddy Rachel?!" he says angrily. "That is my sister and Jack is my father!" he yells as I feel my heart stop.
What?
"And maybe it wasn't worth it!" he says as he walks to his black mustang he opens the door getting in. "I hope you and him are fucking happy together." he says slamming the door.
"Paul!" I yell tearfully after him as he gets in the car speeding away.
I stand alone in the parking deck as tears pour down my face. The second time I've felt that horrible feeling in my heart.
Now I lost my best friend....
Michael's POV
"Mm..." I move my head slowly as I move my arm to pull Tatiana closer. I furrow my eyebrows feeling my arm hit the mattress. I open my eyes facing the empty side of the bed. I feel my heart and head immediately pound.
"This couldn't have been a dream..." I think to myself as I sit up fast feeling my chest tighten up. I look over and sees a stationary note on the pillow as I pick it up.
"Headed to the studio for a little while. Be back by eleven or noon." – T
I sigh as I put it down, wishing she could have woken me up. I rub a hand over my face as I get up. I glance at the clock, feeling a pang of disappointment. It's only a little after 7, meaning I have to wait for her to come home. I sigh again running a hand through my hair, before making up the bed tiredly.
I trudge across the room slowly, my hands in my sweat pant pockets. It's a black and white picture, but she's wearing all black, her hair is in a blowout with her blond low lights peeking through but it comes out grey in the picture, as part of her hair covers her eye. Her eyes are dark and smoky, bringing out the intensity of her pupils.
I open the magazine seeing her article, under another black and white photo of her.

INTERVIEW: Anywhere you go, you see any kid have a picture of you up on their bedroom walls—straight girls, gay girls, straight boys, gay boys. Everyone had Tatiana Thumbtzen up and everyone agreed you are beautiful. Before you got into this business, who did you have up on your walls in your bedroom in Clearwater?
Tatiana Thumbtzen: I had David Bowie, Madonna, Patrick Swayze...*blushes and laughs* and uhm...*hesitates* Michael Jackson.
INTERVIEW: Did you have any fashion images up?
Tatiana Thumbtzen: Surprisingly, no. *laughs* That was my sister...Winnie. She had every model up. I was more into boys. I know I had an Elizabeth Taylor picture up.
INTERVIEW: Before you got into modeling, were you interested in fashion? Did you covet any clothes?
Tatiana Thumbtzen: I was more into music, but I also liked fashion. The first time I went to New York, I was there for ballet...then modeling came up.
Interview: Then you starred in Michael Jackson's music video, and the rest is history?
Tatiana Thumbtzen: And the rest is history....*laughs*
INTERVIEW: What is your relationship with Michael like?
Tatiana Thumbtzen: Uhm...we haven't really spoken, in awhile.
INTERVIEWER: You both were quite the power couple, was pressures from them outside a factor in ending your relationship?
Tatiana Thumbtzen: It wasn't a pressure being a couple. It was a pressure on the outside, but the trust wasn't there...I do love him. That hasn't changed.
A knock on the door interrupts my reading as I quickly put it down covering it under papers.
"Come in..." I say as Bill walks in the room.
"Oh Bill..." I say feeling slightly disappointed.
"Michael, you need to go downstairs." he says as I raise an eyebrow.
"Tatiana's father...he's downstairs."
