An exquisitely beautiful woman with flowing, snow-white hair strolled gracefully through a field of beautiful flowers. Their enchanting fragrance enveloped her senses, causing a gentle smile to grace her lips.

She gracefully stooped to pluck a flower, still smiling softly to herself as she brought it to her nose. "Nature remains as stunning as the last time I visited," she whispered to herself, tucking a strand of her long white hair behind her ear.

Her eyes wandered, absorbing the surrounding natural beauty until it landed on an unexpected sight. There, under the shade of a tree, lay a man, peacefully asleep. "A human male," she softly mused as curiosity drew her closer to inspect him.

As she drew closer, her heart raced in a way it hadn't in her centuries of existence. The sight of this man was truly captivating, he was breathtaking . His peaceful sleep under the tree only added to his remarkable beauty.

"I never knew your kind could be so mesmerizing," she murmured to herself, lowering herself into a squat right before him. To her surprise, the human male remained undisturbed, lost in hus sleep.

Driven by her curiosity, she extended her hands to trace the contours of his face. Her fingertips gently brushed against his warm skin, and she observed, "He is so warm, exceptionally warm." Her hand moved lower, almost grazing his lips, and the uncertainty crept in. Could he truly be human? The energy she sensed from him was anything but ordinary, unlike that of an average human.

Just as her fingertips neared his lips, a warm, masculine hand wrapped around her wrist, stopping her exploration.

"Uhn," escaped her lips as the man's eyes gently fluttered open, locking onto hers. His gaze cold yet blazed with intensity, his touch radiating heat as they maintained unbroken eye contact.

Silence took over as they locked eyes, her heart started beating very fast again. She couldn't help but contemplate - was this, perhaps, love at first sight?

"You disappoint me, Reagan. You are so unpredictable. It would have cost you nothing to drive a dagger through her heart, just as you did the first time," Sapphire taunted, a sinister smile dancing on her lips.

Reagan's jaw clenched as he shot back, "I'll savor the day I get to end you, Sapphire." His anger simmered dangerously close to boiling over. She was the cause of so much destruction, the reason everything had gone out of control years ago.

"Ah, but that day will come, my dear Reagan," Sapphire purred, drawing closer. Her fingers traced a path across his chest. "In the meantime, I'll take pleasure in making your life a living hell."

She leaned in whispering in his ear, her words a siren's song of malice. "Cherish the little time you have with my sister. There's no happy ending for you two, not as long as I'm in the picture." She flashed a cryptic smile and turned to leave, but just before departing, she couldn't resist adding a final twist. "Oh, and there's one more surprise in store for you today. Be expecting it." With that, she sauntered away, leaving Reagan infuriated.

Reagan's frustration welled up inside him, rendering him powerless for the first time in his entire existence. Sapphire, a heaven's vedan with her full power intact, was not something he could kill. Killing her was beyond his reach, at least without the right weapon. He was extremely powerful no doubt, and the only reason he was still alive is because sapphire can not kill him either even though she tried. They were both powerful forces that wanted destruction upon each other but couldn't unleash it.

The sole reason Jamari, a heaven's vedan remained vulnerable to death was her lack of powers, but most crucially, her absence of eyes. Vedans drew their power from their eyes, and Jamari's eyeless state rendered her as weak and defenseless as a mere human.

Reagan, consumed by regret, unleashed his frustration on the wall, pounding it with a force that left a huge dent. He couldn't help but regret not driving that special dagger into Sapphire's heart all those years ago, instead of Jamari's. If he had, perhaps, the chaotic events unfolding now could have been avoided.

With a deep breath, he reentered the Palace walls, encountering Cedrick on his way and urgently asking, "Where is she?"

Cedrick gestured towards a room, replying, "Over there, your majesty."

Reagan entered the room, discovering Jamari lying unconscious on a bed while a physician examined her.

The physician acknowledged Reagan's presence, bowing respectfully. "I believe she will recover, your majesty. I can't predict when she'll regain consciousness, but thankfully, there are no life-threatening injuries."

The king nodded in relief as the physician exited the room, leaving Jamari and Reagan alone. With hesitancy and concern, he approached her bedside and reached out to her.

Reagan struggled to shield himself from being vulnerable to her again , but he found he couldn't help it. As much as he denied it, it pained him to witness her suffering, to see her endure such agony, especially when he was the one responsible. Just like in the past, he was causing her pain, all the while convincing himself that it served a greater purpose. Yet, deep down, he knew it was indeed for the greater good.

He dragged a chair closer to her bed and sat down, his fingers gently entwining with hers as he assessed the bruises on her body. The thought of healing her with fire, his usual method, crossed his mind, but he hesitated. She had already endured more than enough hardship for one day, and the fire healing would only add to her distress.

He removed his mask, tenderly planting a kiss on her hand before staring at her. Having these emotions resurface wasn't part of his plan. Whatever these feelings were, the feelings drove him to anger when he saw her in pain, that compelled him to hold her hand tightly like he was doing right now, he loathed it. He detested these emotions, but they were beyond his control, no matter how hard he fought against them.

Silently, he placed her hand back on the bed and crossed his arms, observing her sleep. In her sleep, she appeared peaceful, an opposite of the person almost destroyed the entire battle arena and probably the kingdom of he hadn't stopped her.

As night fell, Kira examined herself in the mirror, naked and vulnerable. Her mind wandered to the memory of Reagan clutching Jamari so tightly, as if he feared she might vanish and never return.

Wearing a delicate, transparent nightdress, she smiled faintly as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Why are you so stubborn, refusing to leave? You'll only disrupt a perfectly crafted love story," she whispered to her unborn child. "I'm not the ideal mother, and it hurts to contemplate ending the life I've created, a part of myself. But I'd rather commit a sin than fail another child." A tear streaked down her cheek, which she quickly brushed away, forcing a smile. "I won't allow you to enter such an unforgiving world."

Putting off the candle's light, she settled into her bed, closed her eyes, while the moon light filtered through her window, adding a little light to the room. Repeating reassuring thoughts to herself, she believed that everything would eventually be alright, that it would all fall into place.

Then, the room's peace was shattered by the sound of approaching footsteps. It was odd, as no one dared to enter her room. She snapped her eyes open just in time to see a gleaming silver dagger about to pierce her heart. Swiftly, she rolled aside, avoiding the stab as the attacker mistakenly stabbed the bed instead.

"Catch her, don't let her escape!" one of them shouted as Kira rolled from the bed to the floor, swiftly standing back on her feet. From the little she could see in the dim room, five men surrounded her.

A larger man lunged at her, attempting to grab her, but she reacted with ruthless precision. Her hand clenched around his neck, nails digging in, and she swiftly tore out his throat, killing him instantly.

Another assailant made his move, but Kira threw the remains of his fallen accomplice in her hand at his face, momentarily distracting. Seizing the opportunity, she sprinted towards a different man in the room. Her grip locked onto his head, and she repeatedly slammed it against the wall with a relentless fury until he was lifeless.

Now, there were only three men left, larger than her despite her towering frame. One wielded a massive axe, another a sword, and the last held a dagger, ready to strike.

The man wielding the massive axe charged toward her, raising it in an attempt to cut her in half. However, with superhuman speed, Kira effortlessly sidestepped him, went behind him and swiftly twisted his neck, rendering him lifeless.

She then turned to the man wielding a sword, her movements fluid and deadly. Her hands delved into his stomach, pulling out his guts with a gruesome force.

The final intruder clutched a dagger ready to attack, but Kira swiftly caught his hand by the wrist, twisted it, causing him to groan in pain. She collected the dagger before pinning him against the wall and pressing it menacingly against his throat. "Who are you? Start talking and I might let you live if you give me right answers," she demanded, her voice filled with menace. Her dagger left a painful scratch on his neck.

"Okay, okay, I'll talk," he stammered. "We are...." But Kira sensed he was attempting to reach for another weapon, which only fueled her anger. With a scoff, she said "wrong answer" she ruthlessly stabbed him repeatedly in the heart until he ceased to breathe, then released his lifeless body, watching it slump down the wall.

Screams echoed from outside, and Kira swiftly opened the door, stepping into the corridor. To her astonishment, the entire corridor was filled with intruders engaged in a brutal battle with the royal guards, mercilessly killing the helpless servants.

"What the hell..." Kira muttered under her breath as she started walking on the corridor. Three of the enemies charged toward her, but her eyes glowed a red light as she commanded, "Kill yourselves."

Instantly, they turned on each other, carrying out her dark order. Kira continued past them, her path marked by the lifeless bodies of the intruders. Her face and body were now smeared with blood, though not her own, but that of her enemies.

As she moved forward, she spotted Cedrick, who was still occupied with the ongoing chaos.

He was brutally dispatching an enemy with his swords, Cedrick's sharp eyes caught Kira in the midst of the chaos. Urgently, he called out, "Behind you!" and threw a sword toward her. Kira's reflexes were lightning-fast, and she effortlessly caught the weapon, immediately turning to behead the enemy sneaking up behind her.

Cedrick rushed towards her, his concern showing. "We need to find a hiding spot for you. There are too many of them, and considering your condition..."

But Kira wasn't the type to walk away from a battle, ignoring Cedrick's plea. She strode past him and retrieved a bow and arrow from a fallen enemy archer, as she started shooting it at the intruder. Cedrick sighed in resignation, realizing there was no convincing her to stop, and reengaged in the battle.

Meanwhile, Sapphire watched the chaos from her clear point in a distant tree, her face adorned with a malevolent smile. "Stupid barbarians, invading the Dragon King's domain. You're all destined to meet your end," she taunted, her sinister grin growing wider. "It was surprisingly easy to manipulate those foolish barbarians into this. It's been far too long since I've witnessed such chaos, and nothing could bring me more joy."

Sapphire had orchestrated the barbarian attack on the Dragon King's palace, spreading the news that the Empyrean Vedan queen "Jamari" was still alive, and it was necessary to capture her. She knew the barbarians' odds of survival were slim, but that didn't stop her. Her goal was to sow chaos and conflict in the lives of the Dragon King and his sister.

She had spread the news to countless other kingdoms, which will now make Jamari a constant target. Every day, new threats would seek to kidnap her, believing she held the key to their kingdoms' protection in the war coming. Drakonia and the Dragon King's palace would remain under attack often, just like the barbarians were doing now.

Sapphire crossed her arms with a sense of sinister satisfaction. "I've said it before, and I'll say it again: As long as I'm here, there is no happy ending in this story..."
