ARJUN'S POV
And as she looked me with that smile, I found my home.
After days, I saw this smile and I won't deny, I was dying to see that.
And what I noticed was, we were again, coincidentally, color coordinated. She looked beautiful in that attire.
Diwali Attire
She had Ahaan in her arms and she cooed her as she kissed her cheek and then laughed.
I went ahead and wished everyone touching uncle & aunt's feet.
"So after ages both families are together on Diwali" Her mom said
"Really! We don't even remember when last time kids accompained us" Mom agreed
"Fourteen years back" I said and everyone looked at me where as, I myself was shocked at what I said.
Damn! What did I say!
"Maybe" I added
"Well, I guess your may be is right. How do you know" Raj bhaiya asked with a small smirk.
"I.. Don't know" I honestly replied.
"Guys! Let's just have some kaju katli" Naina exclaimed and everyone chuckled nodding and stepped inside the home where as she looked at me.
"Thanks me later for saving you" She whispered in my ear and ran inside holding her skirt a little up.
"What has happened to her" I muttered to myself .
The elders were talking with each other where as, I looked at Naina who was with everyone else burning fire crackers.
"Bhui, the biggest one" Her niece said and she nodded gesturing Raj bhaiya.
And soon he came with some fire crackers and Naina lit them, but they didn't.
Everyone was busy in some or other thing while she frowned which of course didn't go unnoticed by me.
I sighed and went near her, and raised my brow.
"Who will open the seal idiot" I muttered and she looked at the side and then chuckled.
"I'm so dumb" She spoke
"Sure you're" I said opening the seal and then pointed her to do it.
"Slow and care fully okay" I whispered
"Much concerned huh" She teased and I looked at her.
"I missed you" I said and she looked at me but before she could speak we heard Ruhaan's voice.
"What happened di? Need help" He asked from far.
"No! It's done. I didn't realise it sooner. Silly me for not taking care " She said the last part looking at me.
"But I'll take care now" She added and smiled at me when a small smile came on my lips.
I knew what she meant!
Typical Naina, loves playing with notions of words!
I stood up and went behind and she did her work and in a second, we saw the sky full of fire works.
I looked at Naina to see her looking on the ground and her eyes following every fire cracker till it bursted in the sky while she bursting with happiness on her face.
And I knew, I had to capture this hence I opened my phone's camera and made a slow motion of the same.
"Perfect" I whispered
"What perfect? " A voice came and I looked behind locking the phone.
"Mom" I mumbled
"What you were mumbling to yourself" Mom asked
"Am, the fire works. They're perfect" I said and she smiled nodding.
"You remembered the exact year Aru. We all were so shocked" Mom chuckled
"Just remembered. No big deal" I said
"It happens. Well, you seem worry free today after days" She told and I looked at the person who was laughing at something Ruhaan said.
"Its Diwali " I said and she looked at me.
"I'm glad then. That really is a Happy Diwali for me then" She exclaimed hugging me.
I was talking to mom when my phone buzzed.
Someone looks handsome!
I raised my brow looking at her to find her smirking at me.
Someone looks gorgeous!
I typed back and sent to her.
"Okay Guys! Photo time" Ruhaan announced and everyone nodded
"I want single pics with everyone. So Ruhaan, start with my photo session" Naina said and Ruhaan chuckled nodding.
She started with daadi and clicked pictures with even Ahaan but not me.
"Oh hello mister. I won't give you written invitation" She mocked looking at me.
"I was waiting for a please" I mocked back
"Please? For you? Hah! Come again? Who are you? " She snickered and everyone laughed
"I'm Arjun Singhania" I replied
"Oh okay. The monkey walking on two legs." She mocked again and I raised my brow.
"Yeah! Like you, donkey walking on two legs right" I asked
"Again copying me. Come with something new man! " She smirked and I raised my brow.
"How about picking you up and throwing you in pool of cold water" I asked and she looked at me laughing but when I kept looking at her, she shut her mouth.
"Arjun" Mom scolded
"Kidding mom. Just look at her face" I mocked now and she huffed where as everyone chuckled
"These two! I think their favorite thing to do is teasing and mocking each other" Daadi said and I looked at Naina
Only I know, how my days passed without this banter!
"By the way Arjun. I've made your favorite Ras malai too." Aunty said
"And look, she had plan to eat all by herself. Bhooki (hungry) " I mocked again
"You know what! I'll mix salt in your ras malai" She whined
"Kid" I said
"Okay okay guys. Leave something for tomorrow too. " Dad mocked and this time we both looked at him.
"Amm, I'll go have rasmalai" I said and aunty chuckled nodding as I followed her .
"I'll have kaju katli" She muttered and scrunching her nose as usual she left in another direction.
I really wanted to talk to her about so much. I wanted to ask what has happened.
It was somewhat 3 am and we left for home.
This Diwali happened to be the most beautiful Diwali of my life.
"Very happy today huh" Nishant asked as we entered home.
"It's Diwali" I replied and he chuckled
"Diwali & you used to have no relation in between till even last year" He mocked
"Bhaiya! Happy Diwaaalii" Ruhaan grinned and hugged me.
"Ugh Ruh" I groaned and he laughed as I hugged him.
Next day everyone was busy with the some guests, gifting the workers and wishing the family on phones.
At 3 in the noon everyone started getting ready & I too went to my room when Ruhaan looked at me.
"What are you doing here? " I asked
"Waiting for you sweet heart" He smirked
"I'll vomit on your face if you again say it" I said
"Really! When someone else say you this, you can kiss a.. " He was saying when I threw pillow on him.
"Dodged" He grinned and laughed
"Get lost idiot" I said
"Okay! But what about the gift Naina di told me to give you" He spoke and was going when I stopped him.
"Wait! " I abruptly spoke and he smirked
"What bhaiya" He asked faking innocence
"You'll listen by a punch or kick" I asked glaring him and he laughed handing me a box.
Happy Diwali Singhania!
It was written on the top.
"Get lost now" I smirked and pushed him out where as he was muttering something.
I opened the box and saw a black dial watch inside and a note.
Heard that you brothers are wearing dark blues ! I've gifts for you three. Wear this same Diwali Gifts!

Idiot!!!
I got ready in my dark blue Jodhpuri suit and wore the watch and it went well with the outfit. When I gave Nishant & Ruh their gifts, they were shocked as well as happy.
"Look at our sons. Let me click a picture of you three" Chachi said and Ruhaan handed her the phone as she clicked us three.
"Where's Nishi? " I asked
"I'm here chachu" She said and I looked at her in a small sharara.
"You look cute baby" I mumbled sitting on knees, kissing her cheek.
"You look most handsome" She grinned kissing me back on cheek and I smiled.
"Let's go! " dad announced and I nodded as I looked at mom.
"What happened" I asked
"Want a grand child" She said and I smirked
"That I can give without marriage" I winked and she hit me on shoulder.
"You're such a shameless person Aru" She said and chuckled
"Want another daughter in law" She added
"Let's keep going" I said and she sighed
"I'm going to get you married now giving you drugs" She told and I looked at her shocked
"Who gave you such a nasty idea?" I asked
"An year ago, Naina. When she came home first time na, that day. She told that if you don't get married, drug you and get you married to Ananya" She smirked
"That little racoon" I muttered and went out towards car.
We reached the Rathi mansion again and man, it didn't look even a bit of what it looked yesterday.
The girl created magic with her team.
"I hope we aren't late and guests haven't come yet" Dad asked uncle
"Not at all. It's still half an hour. Come let me show you the decorations." Uncle proudly said and dad and chachu nodded following him.
The ladies got busy with ladies fo course and we three brothers were standing with Raj bhaiya.
We all were talking on random topics of course mostly related to business when Avni bhabhi called Raj bhaiya and he excused himself.
I was about to say something to Nishant when I felt a specific present behind me.
And for a second, I felt as if I should just turn and kiss her.
"Your Crafting Dreams again created magic" I said without turning and both my brothers looked at me shocked while I turned to see her.
And I was... Doomed!!!
She was wearing a red colored ethnic crop top and skirt with drape on both sides and she looked... Etheral!!
"How did you know it's her" Ruhaan asked
"Same question again ! How do you always know it's me" She asked
"I just.. Know" I replied
"Naina di, you look ravishingly hot" Ruhaan said and I glared him while Naina chuckled
"I.. Mean.. You look pretty. " He added
"I'll prefer the first one" She grinned and I raised my brow.
"Three of you look amazing! Like the pillars of Singhania's" She said
"Thanks Naina. You too look beautiful. And we'll see the guest now. Come on Ruh" Nishant told and went away taking Ruh with him.
I looked at her and taking a deep breath, I traced her from head to toe.
"Arjun.. " She whispered and I looked at her.
"You need to stop looking so ravishingly beautiful short cake. I can't let people eye what's mine" I said and she looked at me and then blushed looking down.
"Perfect" I whispered and she chuckled.
"You either don't look monkey" She said and I raised my brow.
"Monkey? " I asked and she giggled in return.
"I'll go and see to the arrangements" She said and was about to go but the one of her drape got stuck to my watch.
And here ladies & gentlemen, another thing went off her lala land bucket list!
And she's going to get excitedly mad at it.
She looked at the watch stuck in the drape for a second and then at me for a second.
"Oh My Goodness. This happened. Arrjuuunnn" She grinned and clapped her hands when I looked at her.
"Dumbass! I knew you'll get hyped" I said and she smirked.
"Don't tell me you didn't like it" She asked
"No" I replied smiling a bit.
"Chal jhutta (you lier)! You loved it" She grinned
"Idiot! Remove it! You needed to go" I reminded and she giggled nodding.
And I won't deny, what I liked was... That big grin on her face!
"Naina, I wanna meet you, alone. So just meet me in your room at 9:45 " I said as she was removing my watch from the drape.
"Why mister" She asked
"Should I tell here? Giving demo? " I asked and she blushed again denying.
"Tata" She said and went away from there while I sighed looking around.
Guests were coming and greeting everyone. The guss between them was decorations which were both mixture or modernity as well as traditions.
I was with Nishant talking about something when someone put their palms from behind on my eyes.
"What th.. " I was saying when Nishant spoke.
"Shut up" He said
"Aruuu, guess who" It was a woman who spoke
"I don't know. And stop calling me Aru" I snapped
"Still that much anger huh" She said
"Who the.. " I muttered turning and looked at the person.
"Arika" I mumbled and she looked at me.
"Glad that you didn't forget your childhood sweetheart" She winked and without any prior notice she hugged me.
I Am Not A Hugs Person!!!
But before I could say her anything, I felt someone specific again behind me.
"Arjun" She mumbled and I moved my head to find her looking at me.

NAINA'S POV
"Arjun" I called and he turned around looking at me while my eyes were on that one hand which was on Arjun's waist!
Her hand on Arjun's waist!
And I instantly saw Arjun shifting himself a bit maintaining distance.
"Yes? " She asked and I raised my brow.
"You're Arjun? " I asked with a fake smile
"What! Of course not. " she said
"Then why you answering on his behalf" I said and she glared me a bit.
"Who's she?" She asked again putting her hand on Arjun's shoulder and this time he himself removed her hand.
Good for you Singhania!
"Am, Naina, she's Arika and Arika she's Naina.. My... Best friend" he introduced and I don't know why I felt such a pang in my chest.
Which you shouldn't! Because of course he can't just go around and tell everyone that you're his girl friend!
"Best friend? Wasn't I the one! Man, I'm hurt" She said and he looked at her.
"Arika, we've met after like 20 years!" Arjun told
"So what! I'm your childhood sweetheart. Come on babe" She said and I looked at her shocked and glared Arjun damn hard this time.
"I guess, I'll leave you two alone for this reunion " I stated and clenching my fists I went away.
Even though I heard Arjun calling my name I left from there.

And what am I? Fucking clown!
I was going when Vrinda aunty stopped me mid way.
"Naina, kid have you seen Arjun" She asked
"Ya aunty. He's with.... Arika" I mumbled and she looked at me and then smiled.
"Really! I knew once she comes India, she's going to meet him first" Aunty said and I didn't know what to even say.
I fucking didn't even know who Arika is!
"Did you talk to her? I know she's like more of American vibes but she and Arjun used to be so good friends when they were in school." She told and I nodded.
"There they are. Don't they look sweet together" She asked when I looked at the same direction to find Arika saying something while Arjun looking at the mocktail glass in his hands.
"Am.. Yeah." I replied
"I like this girl. Do you think Arjun will also.. You know.. " She said and I looked at her this time with shock more..
"Fi.. Fixing Arjun with..." I couldn't even say as a lump formed in my throat.
"Yes! I mean come on Naina tell me. He's already 29. Soon to be thirty now. How more we'll wait. If he hasn't found anyone I'll set him up now. And you're going to help me okay. You're his best friend after all" She said and I felt as if someone was hitting me hard on head.
Arjun didn't even come to ask me why I left that meant she's an important person to him. And then now aunty said this....
Where was I in the story.. No where.
I love someone, who doesn't love me but he feels something for me!
And we're together without even knowing what future holds for us!
And now aunty was showing me his future in which I was no where in the lead role!
"Naina what happened" Aunty snapped her fingers at me and I controlled my damn tears.
"Nothing aunty." I replied with a smile and turned my heels going inside home.
Aunty would surely talk with him about this!
What if aunty convinces him to marry Arika!
What about me?
What about us?
Am I going to loose Arjun!
