ARJUN'S POV
After the car incident, I went home and I knew, I had to apologise! Hence I did that first!
Well, yeah! The person who never says sorry has said it many times now to this girl!!
Honestly, I believe in her destiny thing because, After she met me, One thing is for sure, she has become an important part of my life.
"Duggu" Daadi's voice came and I looked at her.
"Yes daadi! " I asked going near her and she smiled.
"You three brothers, you've no time for your daadi now" she complained
"Who! These two right! Busy people daadi" Ruhaan , our smallest brother spoke.
"Oye! You too! Just with flirting and running behind girls! That's it!"Daadi said and Nishant chuckled.
"Oh! I don't run behind girls! Girls run behind me!" Ruhaan bluffed
"You aren't Arjun! That girls will run behind you" Nishant mocked and I raised my brow.
"Leave us. Look at you! Father of a kid! Yet talking about girls! Should I call bhabhi?" Ruhaan teased
"Okay! Enough!" Daadi chuckled and looked at me.
"What about you Duggu ?" she asked me.
"Me?" I asked confused
"What's going in your life?" She asked
"Am, Everything is good! Hotels are running well! Businesses going good! Stock prices ar.." I was saying when daadi spoke.
"Idiot! I'm talking about personal life! Not work. What about Ananya ?" she asked
"Oh, Ananya! Yeah, she's ..good" I replied
"Have you thought about marriage and all?" she asked and I sighed
"Not again Daadi" I mumbled
"Duggu !Why not! Isn't that age to get married!You'll be 29 now! We can may be wait 6 months, but you've to get married" she asked and I sighed.
"So, tell me do you love Ananya?" She asked and I chuckled
"Love is not in my dictionary daadi. You know that" I said
"So why are you with her then" she asked me
"Because I..I like her! She's good, beautiful! Most important that her family carries a good amount of shares in a company which I want ! " I said
"That's it?" Ruhaan asked making face.
"What else is needed" I smugly said
"Love Arjun! Love is needed " Nishant spoke
"This deal is closed here" I told
"Look at him! He's going to attend a meeting the way he speaks" Ruhaan mocked and Nishant chuckled .
"Marriage isn't a deal" Daadi said
"It is Daadi. If I say in your words, love, It's kind of deal only between two people!" I shrugged
"Wrong! In business you've to always win for grabbing a deal, right?" She asked all three of us and we nodded.
"Par pyaar mein jeetne ke liye, pehle dil haarna padta hai!(You've to loose heart, for winning in love)" she said and I looked at her.
"Then daadi, more clear now! I can't ever love. because, Arjun Singhania never loose!" I firmly stated and she smiled
"Jis din pyaar mein dil haaroge, us din pata chalega, ki asli jeet kya hoti hai( The day you'll loose your heart in love to someone , that day you'll know what true win is) " She said and I sighed smiling at her.
"I don't think, that'll ever happen!" I told
"Who knows!" This time it was Nishant who spoke and I looked at him.
"If this all is about marriage, I can marry Ananya! I mean she's with me from 6 months! I can live my life with her I...guess. But trust me, I don't want to get married now" I said but daadi again chuckled.
"Shaadi usse nahi hoti jiske sath zindagi guzaar sako! Shaadi uske sath hoti hai jiske bina zindagi na guzaar sako!( You don't marry someone with whom you can spend life. You marry the one without whom you can't spend your life)" Daadi stated and for an instant an image came in my mind.
Wait! Fuck!
Why am I thinking about Naina! There's nothing!
"Someone crossed your mind bhaiya!" Ruhaan teased and I glared him.
"This marriage,love and all, aren't my cup of tea" I stated
"Then I wish, someone just create such a havoc in your life by such small things that you realize, all this! But before it's too late" She replied and Nishant smirked at me.
"I'm sure, this will happen daadi!" Nishant said and I sighed when my phone rang.
I excused myself and picked that up.
"Sir, the meeting has been fixed with home minister! It's in Delhi! Tomorrow evening " Mrs. Jain said
"Oh Okay! Get my jet ready! I'll leave in morning " I told and cut the call.
"Mom, I've an important meeting in Delhi. Will leave in morning" I said mom and she nodded.
"When you'll be back?" she asked
"Amm...four days " I said
"What why?" Dad asked
"Have some works at branches too! " I told and dad nodded.
I bid good night to everyone and came to my room!
Honestly, whatever daadi said today was running somewhere in mind, but the thing more disturbing was.....
Nowhere for once Ananya crossed my mind in all this!
There was some other face which was coming while listening to daadi!!
And That Should Not Happen!!
Next morning I woke up, got ready and reached Airport.
Before going inside jet, I got Naina's call.
"Say" I spoke
"Where are you?" She asked
"Airport" I told
"What , when and you didn't tell me" She snapped and I huffed.
"Shut up shortcake!Check your messages then accuse!" I stated
"Fine whatever but where are you going suddenly because last night you had no plans" She asked
"Some urgent meeting in Delhi! Will be there for next four days!And since I'm going, I'll make visit to SGH New Delhi branches too!" I told
"You're seriously going Delhi" She chirped happily
"Why are you so happy! Our sunday hangout has been cancelled" I huffed
"No! It isn't! " She said
"What? " I asked and she started telling about the camp
"Oh yeah, it slipped my mind ! I signed the papers myself two days back. Wow!Great Miss. Rathi! Then I'm waiting for you in Delhi. Consider it as our first outing" I exclaimed
"Yess!See you soon then Mr. Singhania " She said
"Soonest!" I replied and cut the call
Boarding the flight, I reached Delhi and went directly to my pent house in Delhi.
At somewhat 4 in the evening I & my PA reached home minister's house.
The meeting lasted for about two hours but in first 10 minutes, I already knew that the collaboration with the government has been done.
And this was a great success again !!
I reached the pent house back after dropping Mrs. Jain in one of our hotels and I looked at my phone.
6 missed calls from Ananya!
God! She's..idiot sometimes! She knew I had meeting and I'm busy! Still asking in message about my whereabouts.
"Where are you baby?" she asked as soon as I called her back.
"Where I should've been Ananya!" I asked back
"Delhi!!" she chirped
"So of course I'm there! And, I was in meeting, you knew that too still called like 6 times"I snapped
"Sorry! I just wanted to hear your voice" She said and I looked at phone.
"What! Why?"I asked
"Arjun, you're my fiancee! Why can't I ?" She questioned back
"God yeah okay! Now can I go! My dinner is waiting" I said
"Of course baby! Bye" She spoke
"Ya bye" I replied and cut the call.
After I had dinner, I went to sleep.
The next day passed in three branches of SGH checking the works,meeting the managers,HRs etc.
At night before going to bed, I called at home once and called Ananya too!
Honestly, it's been whole day and I didn't talk to Naina which was making me a little restless.But in mind one satisfaction was she's coming.
In the morning as I woke up, I called Naina first.
"Missed me?" she said as she picked the call.
"When are you reaching ?" I asked
"I'm already at the Delhi airport " she replied and I looked at the time.
"You could've called me Naina, I would've picked you up" I said
"Arjun! I'm here with my team!" she reminded
"Okay great but don't tell me you're going to spend tomorrow with them too!" I asked
"Why what's tomorrow" She asked back
She doesn't remember! Not possible!!
"Sunday dumb! Tomorrow's sunday" I mocked
"They've a seminar!I've to attend that" She told
"Time?" I asked
"11-3 pm" She replied
"I know rest details! Wait for me there. I'll pick you up" I said and before she could make another excuse I cut the call.
Duffer! Asks me what's tomorrow!!
After getting up, I freshened up and got ready! I had one more meeting to attend!
For again whole day, I didn't hear from that dumbass!
At night when I came back penthouse, I sighed as I looked at the time!
After ordering my dinner, I was about to go to bed when my phone rang.
"What?" I asked
"Skype or google call or anything on your macbook! Quickly" She said and I smiled tiredly a bit cutting the call.
And as I was told, I did it!
"Hey!" I said as I saw her on video call.
"You look like...shit!" she scrunched her nose saying this.
"I worked whole day Naina!" I offended
"Oye! Listen" She grinned and I raised my brow as my phone too rang.
"Happy Birthday!" She wished and a small smile came on my lips.
"Pick the call! It must be from home" she added and I nodded picking the call putting macbook near legs so no one see.
Of course if they do, they'll think what they shouldn't!
"Happpy Birthday" everyone at home screamed
"Thankyou" I replied
"Pranaam Daadi (Greetings grand ma)" I wished
"Happy Birthday" she wished and I passed her a small smile.
"Thankyou!" I replied
"So, you'll reach here tomorrow right?" Dad asked and I looked at mac book's screen while Naina looked at me a bit shocked.
"Am, no! I'll be back after two three days!" I said
"What why!" Mom asked
"I met friend of mine here! So, I'll catch up with ...them!" I lied
"Really !" Nishant asked smirking
"Really!" I muttered
"Okay! I gotta sleep! Bye!" I wished and everyone again wished me and I cut the call.
"You're staying for me?" Naina asked
"No! Your ghost" I mocked
"Shut up!" She smiled
"You didn't say me thankyou" she added
"For what?" I asked
"I wished you dude! That too first" She whined and I smirked
"So!" I asked
"Ugh! Go to hell" She cursed and my phone again rang.
"I'm sure it's your baby" Naina mocked and I showed her the phone while she chuckled.
"Happy birthday baby" Ananya wished
"Thanks Ananya!" I replied
"I miss you! I wish you were here! We would've spend some really good personal time. I would've called my friends too! I would've thrown a party baby" She said and I looked at another screen who was suppressing her laughter.
"Yeah! I'm not that much fond of birthdays. Specially parties" I replied
"If it would've been mine birthday ,you would've thrown a party right! Calling my friends" she asked and I looked at her.
"Ananya! What's on your neck" I asked
"Where" She asked and then she adjusted her turtle neck top.
"Am,nothing baby! You know, I just checked about this new Greece themed cafe. Once you come back, we'll go there. I'm dying to taste the food there" She exclaimed
Food? She's on keto diet almost!!
"Ananya, will you just fold down the neck of this turtle neck" I asked because I'm very sure I saw a mark there.
Ananya looked at me and chuckled nervously.
"We'll..Once you come back, you can fold do.." she was saying before which I stopped her.
"Was there what I think Ananya? Because as much I remember, We didn't do any stuff" I said looking at another screen who looked at me for a second but instantly her screen was off!
Honestly I didn't have any problem in sharing anything in front of Naina but I'm sure she just wanted to give me privacy!
"We'll talk once you come back Arjun! Bye"Ananya said and before I could speak anything, she too cut the call.
Honestly, I wasn't angry right now because I ain't sure!
I looked at my phone to see a message!
Don't pick me up right from seminar site. I'll meet you at Diggin cafe! Happy birthday once again! Don't think much about whatever happened! We'll talk about that later! Sleep properly! Good night!
I sighed reading it and typing back good night I slept!
Next morning, as I opened my both cell phone's data, which was work and professional, I was flushed with messages!
I went directly to office of SGH Delhi first and then after a little work and cutting the cake which the whole staff of SGH bought, I looked at the time... and well the weather!
"Is it going to rain Mrs. Jain?" I asked
"Sir, according to weather reports! Heavy rainfalls" She said
"Use my jet! Leave for Mumbai now and if wheather gets nasty, use hotel's suite! " I told and she nodded.
After she went away, I was going to call Naina too that I'll pick her up but her phone came busy.
I too completed some works & by the time, it started to rain cats & dogs.
I again called Naina and this time she picked up.
"Where are you?" I asked
"Booking a cab" her voice came.
"What! Don't! It's raining heavily ! I'll pick you up " I said
"No. I've booked. And moreover, I'm kinda drenched too!" she told
"Such an idiot you're! Please be safe!" I said
"I'll. Meet me soon" She whispered and I don't know something just passed through me!
Something...such as an electric wave just because she whispered "meet me soon" !
What the hell was this!
But more then that I was surprised by the words which were very simple words yet it made something inside me shudder yet not with a bad feeling!
"Soonest" I whispered and cut the call.
I took one of the car from office parking and drove to Diggin Cafe.
As I entered the cafe, I saw someone standing, all drenched in rain, smiling widely at me.
And in no time, I was englufed into a hug.
Not the normal hug, she does!
Into a bone crushing hug such that her all the body weight was on me.
Normally if it would've been someone else who would've been so drenched , I would've pushed them away. But I don't know why not her!
I was totally surprised and it took me seconds to calm myself and hug her back.
And ...for the first time.....in all these months...
I felt something creating a havoc inside me.....yet beautiful while hugging My best friend!!!
And my fucking sub conscious rang Daadi's words in my ears!
I wish someone create this havoc in your life!!
