NAINA'S POV
Why!!
And I realized, I was ready to tell him everything.
"Because I fell in love with someone, for whom love wasn't priority" I mumbled and he looked at me.
"I was in high school. And... He was my senior . Sahil Arora" I started
"We were literally from enemy houses. The elite knights vs the Elite Stars. I was the vice captain of stars and he was the captain of knights. We knew each other since two years but you know never even talked because of the groups. Though, I knew he didn't have problem with me. I knew it since the day, I joined the group. Because he spoke to me softly. My whole group used to say me that I should become captain because the fights would stop since he... He had a soft corner for me. But, I never wanted to get into all this. In 12th, I was going home and my two wheeler broke in the middle. He saw that and stopped his bike asking me if he could help. Normally a boy would've given ride... He too asked for it but when I denied, he told me to walk after him and he took my two wheeler to near by garage and told the mechanic to prepare it urgently. That was time, when we talked for first time nicely" I said and he nodded.
"After that day.. I don't know when, we both started to leave school together and join each other in morning in mid ways. There was a spark between us and you know if spark collides... Either it produces light or it makes everything go black. For me, I thought it was light. I started to see him with different view. I used to notice small things about him. And the thing was, he too did the same. We started spending lot of time together. And eventually we fall in love. We were in first year of college though our college were different. But the problem was, for me we were the priority but for him, everything except us was priority. We were dating but I was the one who used to call, who used to plan things. It was my birthday. He promised that we'll be together for a good time. But then he had some urgent work and he had to leave. I asked him that he could stay least today. That was just the gift I wanted from him but he had to leave. So he left! Next day, I didn't call him. It went for two days... Then a week... Then a month. He never called or messaged. And I realized, it was just me who was in love! It was me who was making it work. May be.. He loved me but love was never a priority for him." I whispered as a small tear left my eye.
"After two months, he met me at a seminar and he told me that why didn't I ever contacted him back. And I asked, he could've done the same. That's when he said, he loved me but he has things which are more important then this all. And then I saw, he was already with someone else. Moved on without even thinking it necessary for even a closure. That was the day I totally realized, I fell for a wrong guy! And I left from there without a word. And you know, I was broken, I was hurt but I didn't regret my wholesomeness in that relationship. But I knew, he didn't deserve me. " I sighed
"After that, I distanced myself a bit from people. I was already an introvert and trusting people after this was bit tough. And moreover I was happy with those two three people in my life. I never wanted to repeat the same thing ever" I told
"How did you... Move past that" Arjun asked after a bit of silence
"Because I knew, I deserve better. I deserve the same ferocity of love which I give. Nothing less. And I ain't going to settle down for less ever now" I said and he nodded.
"You're very strong Naina. Very strong" He mumbled and I nodded when he wiped my tears.
"You're a cry baby too." He mumbled and I chuckled.
After a while Arjun sighed.
"Guess we've a bad luck in dating " He joked and I chuckled denying.
"I don't know. But I don't have bad luck in friends " I said and he raised his brow.
"I don't share and I don't poke my nose in anyone's business until & unless the person is close to me." I told and Arjun for a second looked at me.
"So, I'm close to you ?" He asked
"Am I " I questioned back.
"No doubts you're Naina! " He instantly replied and I smiled.
"So are you Arjun! One of the best person I've met. I.. I'll not say you took any best friend's place in my life. But you made a part of your own. In that catagory." I said
"You indirectly called me your best friend? " He asked
"Ain't I? " I pouted
"You're. And I'll always remember today's date. It's the first time you called me your best friend" He said looking at me and I saw what I haven't seen ever in these two months!
He smiled! Arjun Freaking Singhania Smiled!!
Okay, that was for a milli second but he smiled!
"Arjun Freaking Singhania Smiled?" I teased
"Shut up" he snapped and I chuckled.
"Arjun" I asked and he hummed
" You'll never break my trust in anything right. Because what I'm giving you is most important thing in my life! My trust " I asked and he looked at me.
"First Promise of Arjun Singhania to You Naina Rathi! I'll never break your trust" He promised and I looked at him.
"You shouldn't promise this easily" I said
"I don't promise if I don't mean them" he replied and I looked at him.
"You still miss Disha ?" I asked
"I miss the time" he replied as we sat now on the carpet with our heads on couch.
"And you? I mean I don't know what to even ask. You lost your first..love..still you believe in love " he asked
"What was the mistake of love. If I stop believing in love then what was that feeling which I always had for him? And I..don't miss anything of that. Whatever it was, its gone "I said
"So you regret it?" he asked
"Nope! I don't! It was a decision took by heart! Never regretting it. I'm assured that I gave my all. All the love I had inside, I put that all " I shrugged
"If you would've just thought by mind practically, you won't have faced what you did" Arjun pointed out
"Arjun! I promise you one thing! I'll make you believe in certain things again! I bet at it " I swore
"You'll loose" He bored
"What if I win?" I asked
"You can tell me to do anything! And I'll do that" He said
"Pakka(sure)" I asked
"110%" he replied and I smiled.
"This is the longest we're sitting together" he said after a small pause.
"Yeah! Otherwise ,You're a busy man" I mocked
"Oh excuse me! You can't come after 8 pm isn't my mistake"He said
"How's your Ananya!" I mocked
"She's not 'My Ananya'! " He said
"Yeah yeah! " I smirked and then there was a knock on the door.
"You back" I said looking at Aditi
"Why! Didn't get much time?" she winked
"Ew! Shut up! Disgusting woman" I said
"Yeah yeah!" Mitesh smirked from side and I sighed.
"Hey, Mitesh!" He introduced himself as Arjun shook his hand with him.
"Arjun" He replied and they nodded.
"I'll..take leave now! Thankyou Aditi" Arjun said and I looked at him.
"Thankyou for what?" I asked
"He wanted to meet you! Since you weren't answering his calls and messages.So he contacted me" Aditi revealed
"T-R-A-I-T-O-R" I screamed when Aditi smirked.
"Don't tell me you hated it" she mocked
"Shut up" I huffed
"And you! I hate you" I muttered looking at Arjun who sighed.
"Are you staying or leaving!" He asked totally ignoring me.
"Did I called a good person " I asked and he nodded
"You aren't" I snapped
"Drama Queen" All three of them muttered and I whined.
"I'm going. Bye" I said leaving but before that my toe hit the table and I groaned
"Naina" Arjun mumbled and all three of them looked at me.
Two of them have been seeing me like this since years and well this one person is seeing me hitting and falling since two months.
"What should I do of you" He mumbled looking at me and I frowned.
"Aditi, pain spray? " He asked
"I don't need it. I'm fine. Don't worry" I assured
"Sure?" He asked and I nodded huffing because they all are still traitors.
"Thank you" Arjun thanked Aditi & Mitesh.
"You can always come here to crash when you both need to hang out together" Mitesh told
"Right now I hate you all" I again yelled but waited in lift for that person to come.
"Let me drop you home" Arjun said when I remembered the car's in service.
"Shit! Shit! I need to go college tomorrow morning" I complained
"I'm going hospital tomorrow! I'll pick you up" he said
"What!No not at all! My family will ask me thousands of questions about you then!No ways! And in college! You know better! Not happening" I stated
"Fine then! Suit yourself. Bye" he stated
"Seriously! You're going to leave me alone here. Where's the gentleman inside you! Died! " I asked shocked
"Naina! Stop being drama queen. Either come and sit in car or else book a cab. About your car, I'll tell the service to make sure,give you the keys before you leave for college tomorrow! Fine" he said and I nodded.
"Now get inside the car" He added
"Drop me till my colony gate !That's it" I muttered seating on passenger seat and buckled my seat belt.
As he was driving, I saw his phone ringing.
"Ahhn! Anaanayaa!" I smirked taking phone in my hand.
"Give me the phone back" He said
"Yeah yeah! You must have to talk to her right!" I teased
"Naina." he warned
"Arjun" I mimicked
"She might be having some work" he said
"Okay! let's see" I replied and I picked the call.
"Hey, Arjun" Her voice came
"Yes baby" I whispered mimicking Ananya when Arjun gestured me to shut up.
"Yaa Ananya" He spoke.
"Where are you! I've been calling you since last one hour! You okay right" she asked
"Yeah!I'm good! I was with Naina! Won't have seen the call." he replied and I looked at him.
Very straight!
Wow! I didn't expect it honestly!I thought he'll lie of some work!
"Okay! Your bestie" Ananya said and I could hear a huff for sure.
How does she knows!!
"Well, I was thinking, if we could meet tomorrow over dinner. I've some special plans!" she said
"Special plans " he asked and I gestured him the vomit expressions.
"Oh, Arjun! A special date, I wanted for us baby" She said and I looked shocked at Arjun as I suppressed my laughter.
"Tomorrow , 9:00 pm! Adam's cafe ! Bye " he muttered and cut the call and I laughed.
"Okay! There was nothing to laugh" he said and I laughed more.
"Where did you find this girl Arjun!" I chuckled
"I just found her dad" he cleared
"That's wrong by the way you know!" I said
"Everything's fair in business" He replied
"So date tomorrow huh!" I teased
"Yeah! Date!" he said
"Your dating sounds more like business" I told
"This is reality. And in this real world, there's no place for emotions! " he replied as he stopped the car at the colony entrance.
"One day Arjun Singhania, you're going to love! May be if you're destined with Ananya then be her! Intensely!And that day I'll ask you this question! Is there any place for emotions now! Remember this!" I said coming out of the car.
"Done! But I'm sure that day won't come." he replied and I shrugged.
"Drop me a message after you reach home" He added and I smirked.
"Awe! Best friend is concerned!"I teased
"It's about safety Naina!" He sincerely spoke and I smiled nodding.
"You too drive safe! I don't want you on wheel chair on your date with... Anaanyaa!" I teased again.
"Bitch" He swore
"Good night to you too Dog" I replied walking towards my home.
After reaching home, I dropped him a message and then got busy with my works.
As promised, the car too came next day in early morning.
Honestly , this was the phase of my life, where I was actually, totally happy after a very long!
