Third-Person POV:
In the blink of an eye Lyla found herself in her cap and gown sitting on stage amongst one other student and a few sponsors for the school. Her eyes searched the crowed for Luca and the moment she spotted him the brightest smile formed on her lips. She honestly couldn't of been happier that after today they could publicly be together and no consequences will follow. As Mr.Abraham spoke and gave his gratitude to the graduating students her eyes would drift off to her friends that were in the crowd.
After today they were going to be out in the world to figure it out. Her excitement really couldn't be contain. Lyla wasn't much of a smiler but in that moment she couldn't rub off the smile that played at her lips. Her mind went back to when they all saw their names on the graduating class list and they all went nuts. Her mind took her back to the beginning of the school year and how it gradually became even better with the passing months.
One moment she was getting force to come to a school for fuck ups like herself and now she has friends that are like family as if she's known them forever, she has Luca the most amazing man she could of ever been blessed with, and she also had her future ahead of her which was something she never wanted to think about.
"...and now let's hear some words from our valedictorian, Ms.Valentine." The moment he mentioned her name the group got on their feet and cheered her on though they were instructed not to prior to the ceremony.
"Fuck yeah bitch!" Eric shouted making the whole graduating class laugh.
Lyla let out a laugh as well as she made her way to the podium. Luca wanted to cheer for her at the top of his lungs but he knew that she knew he was rooting for her all the way since day one. Lyla cleared her throat away from the mic before smiling brightly looking at her friends in the crowd.
"I'm happy...and that's rare for me..." the whole class let out a soft laugh and so did she.
"Honestly I didn't prepare a speech and chose to just freely talk like I always do. I never thought I'd be here honestly. Looking back on my life so far, I was always in trouble and never cared, but from the moment I came here I was welcomed by a curly dark hair blue eyed Barbie and a ginger colored hair girl that wears glasses and has chubby cheeks." Sofi and Elena found themselves laughing lowly with a huge smile on their lips at her words as Lyla softly and shortly laughed looking at them.
"After that everything sort of just happened. Before I knew it I was a part of a group. I became a family with these kids and I honestly wouldn't change anything." The group smiled happily at her words.
"School was honestly rough especially for Mr.Abraham since he saw me like everyday." She looked back at him and he wore a sour look thinking back on the memories.
"I was honestly never one to care until a great teacher took it upon himself to encourage me to do better, and for that I thank him." She looked at him and Luca was fighting back a blush and smile. He didn't win that battle though making her smile as she discreetly played with the ring he gave her.
"Mr.Grey has been an inspiration for everyone in this room and I'm thankful that I got to have such amazing support from one of my teachers. I also want to thank Ms.Ortega for giving me 'advice' on what men don't want..which was basically me." Lyla smirked when she saw all eyes turn to Ms.Ortega disapprovingly. The teacher uncomfortably shifted in her seat and the group along with Luca fought to bite back a smile.
"All I want to say is I hope everyone enjoyed their time here but it's time we take responsibility and accountability for our actions. Don't let life drag you back to who you were, and don't let past mistakes define who you are. When they expect you to fail show them who's boss and overachieve. Fuck-sorry." She said quickly looking back at Mr.Abraham who looked like he didn't expect anything different from her. The class laughed lowly at her trying to control her mouth.
"Screw everyone who tells you that you can't do it, if you overcame this obstacle in your life nobody can hold you back, so with this I wrap my rambling up. Enjoy your life after today, and don't miss me too much." She winked with her big smile and the class laughed once again as they cheered for her loudly. Everyone was truly proud at her shift in attitude though she was still the same when it came to not taking shit from the people around her.
Lyla sat back down and the ceremony continued without a hick. Everyone threw their caps in the air and hugged each other once it was confirmed that they were out and Lyla watched from the stage with a big smile. The group all waved at her and she looked around the room smiling at each of them. They were all now outside hugging each other as if they weren't going on vacation together.
"I'm so proud of us." Lyla said when they were in a group hug outside with everyone else.
"I thought you weren't going to make it at the beginning of the year.." Delilah said making Lyla laugh once they had pulled back.
"Me neither." Lyla laughed.
"SELFIE TIME!!!" Eric shouted as he pulled out his phone.
He grabbed someone's hand and made them take a photo of them not even caring to ask. After Eric made them take 100 photos just them and the extension of the group aka their partners joined making it 100 more. Lyla wanted to take one with Luca so badly but knew they couldn't come out just yet.
"Hey! What about me?!" Someone from the guys dorm shouted. Just like that everyone joined squeezing in. Some were stooped down in the front and in the back some were piggybacking off someone to fit in the photo. Lyla laughed seeing literally the whole class was in the photo. Parents stood around and took photos with smiles on their faces happy that their kids were turning their lives around. After everyone scattered Lyla locked eyes with Luca. Running up to him and jumping him was something she wanted to do but controlled herself.
"How about a photo with you and your favorite teacher?" Eric teased making her smile.
"Definitely." Lyla said with a big happy smile. Making her way to him Lyla placed an innocent look on her face which earned a discreet smirk from Luca.
"Have time for a fan?" She teased and he laughed.
"Always." With a wink following his words he spike causing Lyla to blush.
She stood beside him and placed an arm around his waist as the one with her ring rested on his chest on full display. He placed an arm around her waist pulling her in closer. Luca knew he should of played it safe but seeing everyone so engrossed in their own worlds he knew they were safe. Lyla leaned her head on him and smiled brightly along with him as Eric smiled brightly like the ray of sunshine he always was.
He took the photo and when Luca and Lyla had looked at each other with such affection he couldn't help but snap a few more. They were in their own world being consumed by love that showed on their faces and Eric couldn't help but capture the natural and beautiful moment. Luca had came down and given her a kiss which Eric had actually in fact captured. The moment had ended just as quickly as it had begun and Lyla blushed. Eric snapped a few more of Lyla being shy before getting distracted when Alex wrapped his arms around his waist from behind and kissed his neck.
"Where are my photos?" Eric was smiling hard as he turned around in Alex's arms.
"You're such a baby." Eric teased giving him a quick and fast peck which made Alex blush and smile. Alex had looked up and furrowed his brows.
"Are they dating?" He asked making Eric eyes wonder off the to secret couple.
"Yes." He said with a smile, happy that his friend had found love and gotten through all the complications.
"I fucking knew it!" He said snapping his fingers once making Eric laugh as they walked off.
"I'll see you around Ms.Valentine." Luca spoke with his adorable smile. They had long pulled back but stayed looking into each others eyes fighting the urge to kiss each other the way they wanted.
"Thank you for everything Mr.Grey." She said truthfully and thankfully which made his smile brighten even more.
"Anytime." with that he nodded and walked off to his car where he called it a day.
Lyla watched as he drove off and sighed happily that she got a wonderful man by her side and friends that were basically family. Sofi and Elena threw their arms over Lylas shoulders from either side of her making her snap back to reality.
"Let's get our partying on!" They said as they shook her making her laugh.
"FUCK YEAH!" Lyla shouted back making the whole class freeze.
"HELL YEAHHHH!!!!" They all cheered in union as if it was planned. Laughing everyone took their robes off and got into their cars telling their parents they'll see them later.
With their caps on everyone was at a bar drinking and having the time of their lives before it was rerouted to someone's lavish house. They enjoyed the night together before everyone called it a night and went their separate ways. Lyla found herself at Lucas place where he was already waiting for her when she walked in. Scooping her up in his arms bridal style Luca took her up to their room and laid her down gently.
"I can finally claim you as mine." He spoke with a big smile.
"That you can." Lyla said smiling as she pulled him down for a slow and sensual kiss.
"Teach me Sensei." She teased with a smile biting her bottom lip. Luca found himself agreeing with Lorenzo when he mentioned that Sensei rolling off the tongue of a woman was pretty much like hypnotizing.
"Definitely ..." he breathe out with a smile. Their lips attached and Lyla found herself happily smiling as Luca went down on her teasingly.
She definitely wouldn't of changed a thing.
