Third-Person POV:
Lyla honestly couldn't help but feel uneasy. Truly she didn't want to be stuck in the car with Luca for too long. She questioned why it was so awkward in her head considering the fact that they had gotten somewhat close. Lyla wasn't normally cluster phobic but she felt like she was suffocating in his cologne. The sound of his voice was so addicting to her as well. Personally her relationship with it was a hate and love it at the same time one. Mostly hate since he would always be a pain in her ass.
Luca on the other hand couldn't care less about her presence. Luca just wanted to go home and rest after such a stressful day of dealing with students like Lyla; the ones that didn't give a fuck and stressed him out to the point of wanting to just fail them and leave it at that.
"I won't make it in time for that." He said making Lylas face turn to him.
"I'll let you know." The call ended and Lyla undid her seatbelt and fully turned to him.
"Why are you a teacher?" His eyes met hers and Luca raised a brow at her surprised by her sudden interest. He fully turned to her after undoing his seatbelt locking their eyes together right after.
"Why the sudden curiosity?" He crossed his arms over his chest.
"We're stuck here so might as well."
"Fine. I like making a difference." He shrugged but she didn't quite believe it.
"Why do you teach at that school then? To feel like you're bettering their lives?"
"Maybe."
"Good luck with that, half of them hate you."
'Me included.' She thought to herself as he just eyed her in curiosity.
"Why don't you let your natural hair grow out?"
"Why would I? It's boring and basic." Something she's definitely not.
"Why did they send you to that school?" He asked her making her just eye him putting her poker face on.
"Petty theft and a car chase." She shrugged but he didn't believe it.
"Highly doubt that."
"Don't they give you files on everyone? Why not just read it?"
"I rather know the students by them and not what's written on a paper. Plus most of them were mistakes either way." He shrugged and she couldn't help but wish everyone would have that sense of thinking.
She wanted to know how he'll react if she told him the reason she was in that school; the real reason.
"You said you didn't have kids but what about that kid you were walking with in the mall?" His memories took him back to when he saw Lyla and her group of friends at the mall.
"Niece. You talk a lot." Luca said making her roll her eyes.
"Because the awkward silence was killing me."
"Why do you hate me so much?" He asked genuinely curious.
"Why would I like you? You yell at me all the time and give me detention." She rolled her eyes crossing her arms over her chest.
"Because your lack of trying pisses me off."
"Why?"
"Forget it." He rolled his eyes.
"Right." She said slowly before his eyes went back to the road and he saw the rain had slightly slowed down.
"Seatbelt." Luca spoke as he placed his on. Lyla placed hers on and with that they made their way back to campus. Once they pulled into the parking space Lyla couldn't help but feel rather relieved.
"Thanks." She spoke hurriedly as she got out and hurried to her dorm. She hated herself for letting her eyes linger on his longer than intended to when they drove back. His jawline, his lips, his eyes; she couldn't help herself.
Luca made his way home just to find Sasha a dear old friend of his at his doorstep.
"Hey I missed you." She said as she smiled sweetly at him.
"Why are you here at this hour?" He asked unlocking his door. They walked in taking their shoes off and setting them to the side neatly.
"Thought we could have a drink." She smiled and he hummed not really in the mood to drink but didn't feel like turning her down.
"Ugh I missed you Luca." She said as she sighed and held his hand. They were now sitting down in his kitchen enjoying a bottle of wine after he had freshened up.
"I missed you too, how was Greece?"
"It was wonderful you should come with me the next time I leave." Enthusiastically Sasha spoke. Sasha was a model and influencer who traveled all around doing shows.
Her and Luca had been good friends from a young age but she's had a crush on him from the moment they met. Luca on the other hand didn't feel the same. He's told her many times but she never cared and thought that if she stayed around long enough hell realize his feelings.
"I'll see about it." A small smile formed on his lips and they kept talking until about 12:00 am.
"I don't think I can drive." Sasha said as she laughed slightly.
"You can stay in the guest bedroom it's fine." He got up out of his chair and washed their glasses before Sasha walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist.
"Sasha..." he said lowly as he turned the pipe off and turned around removing her hands after drying his.
"What?" She asked innocently with a smile making him sigh.
"We've talked about this." She looked into his eyes and bit her bottom lip before acting on her thoughts and placing her lips onto his. He pulled back immediately sighing as he placed some distance in between them.
"Sasha we are not doing this right now." He walked off and she pouted wishing he'll give in.
Luca made his way upstairs where he entered his room and closed his door. Feeling the comfort of his bed once in it he immediately felt more relaxed and immediately drifted off to sleep after a long day. A soft groan escaped Lucas lips as he slowly started to wake up from the feeling of someone's lips on his neck along with straddling him. A hand started rubbing his area before he snapped out of his tired trance and grabbed the hand.
"Sasha what the fuck?!" He threw her onto the bed and got out of it standing up and crossing his arms over his chest as she propped herself up on her knees looking at him.
"Luc come on! You said it yourself you haven't had sex in months and neither have I, why not just do it?"
"And you thought the way to get me to sleep with you was by trying to rape me Sash?" She pouted reaching for his shirt to pull him in but he backed away from her touch making her sad.
"You know it wasn't like that." She pouted speaking sadly.
"So rubbing on me and doing what you were just doing isn't rape? If someone you didn't know did that to you wouldn't it be rape?!"
"I'm sorry." She spoke looking at her hands sadly before looking up at him.
"Sasha get the fuck out." Angrily he spoke as he pointed towards the door. The room was dimly lit by the lamp giving her enough lighting to see just how pissed he was.
"But lu—"
"SASHA I SAID TO GET THE FUCK OUT!"
"You expect me to go home at this hour?"
"I honestly don't care, you can sleep in the guest room just—I need to not see you for a few days." He's overlooked many of the flirting, the touching, the subtle and not so subtle hints but this was too over board for him to over look just like that.
"Sasha get out please, the last thing I'd want to do is throw away a good friendship by speaking to you in a messed up way, so please." He said as he continued to point towards the door. Sasha got out of the bed sadly as she let her head drop feeling ashamed.
Luca locked the door behind her never thinking he'd be un consensually touched in his own house by a trusted and dear friend.
He definitely didn't know if he could overlook this act of hers.
