alright, so most of this chapter happens before and at the beginning of this episode. also, I found this song a little fitting.

I felt Striga place me down into a chair inside Hector's workshop. Hector immediately got to work. "you probably should have come to me sooner, the leg is probably gonna take a little time to get used to." hector said as he walked over and began to measure my leg.

I nodded as hector moved my leg around. "well, it's a pretty clean cut. consider yourself lucky." he muttered before getting up. "good news is I can make you a quick prototype, it won't be that strong, but it will at least allow you to walk." he said as he walked over to his chests and pulling out materials. "but the actual replacement would take a couple of days." he explained before began to put pieces together and hammer on them.

I watched curiously, "um, why did you have a prototype?" I asked, curiously. but hector sighed. "well, considering how you seem to lack self-preservation, I figured I might have to put you back together a few times." hector said as he knocked on a cupboard nearby. the doors opened and to my surprise, there were a bunch of false hands and eyes were shown. "I had my night creatures make a bunch of spares," he said as he continued to work.

"here," he said, turning around and chucking something my way, making me catch it.

(the one in middle)

Hector walked over and began to place this sort of plug on my stump then helped to plug the new leg onto my stump before making sure it was secure. "test it out" he said as he stepped back. Striga then helped me up, slowly allowing me to stand.

I slowly took a step, but I felt off. like it wasn't right. I could only feel the connection port and not the foot. unlike my prosthetic arm. I stumbled a bit, to which striga caught me. "easy pup, one step at a time," she said kindly. Slowly, I took a step but still stumbled.

Slowly, I put another foot forward. one, two, one, two, and slowly I moved across the room. "well, that oddly was easier than I thought it would be," I said, slowly moving. but hector chuckled, "you're crazy kid, honestly, I'm surprised you can even walk right now. from what I know, it takes weeks for people to walk with a prosthetic." hector said as he began to draw. "welp, I'll be done building in about 3 days. it's gonna be more hard cause I'll need to make a metal one instead of the bone hand you currently have." he said. I looked a little confused, "wait why?" I asked but hector shrugged, "well, when I made that hand of yours. it was still made from your bones. that's technically your hand. hence why it connected and felt somewhat normal to you, but your foot is entirely missing. meaning, I'm making it from scratch." he explained as he continued to work. "also, it'll take about a day to connect your leg and to test it." he said before going back to drawing.

I nodded before looking at my hand. it never really processed to me that the arm was made of my own bone. I then looked at my fake leg. it had no toes and didn't seem to move at all. making me walk with a limp. I grabbed some clothes and put them under my arm, getting ready to leave.

Striga then spoke to me, "pup, what do you plan on doing till you can get your new leg?" she asked as I walked lightly on my fake foot. "mostly just keep an eye out on the town. wandering around but I have to avoid any risky things." I said before suddenly remembering. Gilles. I was supposed to give her the body of Achromon. I groaned before sighing, "and seeing a... friend." I said with a sigh. really hoping she didn't want the body intact.

Striga nodded before opening a portal. "I'll see you around pup, keep the mirror close," she said before she went out of the room, going back to her sisters. "thanks hector," I said before vanishing.

__________________________________________________________________

as I walked out, and luckily, I found myself in my room. I smiled, thankful that striga opened the portal to my house. So, I put my new clothes on, covering myself before making my way out. I suddenly felt something, a chill ran down my spine.

Morgana suddenly spoke, "he's awoken, I thought, I thought he was destroyed" she whispered in a panicked tone. "What?" I asked but she kept muttering, "oh no, oh no," she kept repeating till I shouted. "MORGANA!"

Morgana stopped panicking, Appearing before me. I then spoke, "take it easy, I need you to slow down. ok?" I said, watching as morgana caught her breath (kinda, I mean, she is a ghost). She sighed, looking around a little before speaking. "I sensed a disturbance, something ancient has been awoken, Angor Rot." she said, a hint of guilt in her voice. "who's angor?" I asked but morgana looked away. "I...I haven't told you this but, I... you aren't my first champion," she confessed.

My eyes widened, as I gripped my amulet in my pocket. "what?" I rasped out as morgana looked away from me. "during the war, angor rot came to me, I... was crueller back then. I... Angor rot came to me for help, he wanted the power to protect his people from gunmar, I... gave it to him. by stealing his soul and binding it to a ring." she confessed before looking at me, "I made him have a hunger to fill the hole in his body, which he tried to fill with the souls of... past trollhunters." she said, guilt-ridden.

an image of a warrior, a slender troll surrounded in a fog filled my mind.

I looked at her, then it hit me. he hunts trollhunters, "Jim." I whispered before trying to run out only to stumble. my new leg wouldn't allow me to run at all. "y/n wait," morgana tried to say but I looked at her. "you, took someone's free will?" I asked, glaring at her. She nodded, "yes, I've come to regret it severely but I can not undo what was done." she said guiltily. But I kept looking at her, "so, did you plan on enslaving me?" I asked, looking at her. Morgana quickly shook her head, "no, no, no! I came to regret what I did, I never wanted to enslave another being again, I promise, I swear." she said quickly, stuttering.

I looked at her, my eyes burning into her before sighing. "so, if he's back, I'm gonna assume he's after Jim. so, it'll be your old champion vs your new one." I muttered pulling out the amulet. the sun reflecting off the beautiful surface.

Morgana kept a guilty look on her face. We didn't speak for a few minutes. I then broke the silence, "alright, if I'm gonna be fighting this, angor guy. I need advice, what can you tell me?" I asked. Morgana remained quiet for a few moments before speaking, "his body is quite agile and lanky, unlike many trolls. He is also a mage, wielding magic. So you might not be able to brute force your way through it. But, since I placed his soul into a ring. If you get the ring you can control him." she said but I shook my head. "So, killing him is the only option, I refuse to enslave another person," I said looking at morgana with a burning look. She nodded understanding before I finished pulling on my clothes. "Good, you are a much better person than I am," morgana complimented before speaking "now, I believe you have a visitor," she said which made me turn. Suddenly the doorbell rang, so I slipped on my glasses, grabbed the knife in my drawer in case something happened and walked down the stairs.

Slowly, I opened the door to see... Gilles. Standing with her full flesh form in front of my house. "Um," I stuttered, not sure what to say when Gilles smiled. "May I come in?" she asked, to which I nodded, opening the door and letting her enter.

I watched as she walked in before shifting. Revealing her half-skeletal form. She smiled, looking around. "Hmm, cosy," she said, before walking into the living room like she owned the place. I followed her before she snapped her finger, my glasses immediately vanished and so did my gloves. Revealing my face and arm. "Much better," she said as she sat down.

I looked at her, "so, um, why are you here?" I asked, but I had a suspicion it was about Achromon. Gilles looked at me and smiled, "well, remember our deal?" she said grinning. I nodded, "yeah, um, you wanted Achromon's body." I said, and Gilles nodded. "Indeed," she confirmed and I could feel a sweat drop. Gilles saw me all nervous and started laughing. "No need to be so nervous, don't worry, you're lucky I didn't need Achromon's body to be intact. Though I still would have preferred if it wasn't a pile of mush." she joked as she laughed. I nervously chuckled, remembering the mess I left before I felt a sudden pressure on me.

Gilles's face turned serious as she then spoke, "as much as I wish this was a casual visit, I came here for some... more serious reasons." she said as I felt sudden chains of magic restrain me. "Tell me, have you heard of the MPSC?" she asked, staring at me. I shook my head and Gilles nodded. "Good, you shouldn't have known about it. But, the MPSC is an organisation, known as the Magic Public Safety council, one that specialises in magic. More specifically keeping it a secret from the public." she said before holding up an Ipad. on it was a sighting of me leaping over a rooftop. I hissed in annoyance, "damn," I whispered and Gilles nodded. "Indeed, you and your brother were spotted a couple of times, lucky for you." she then showed me a new image, it was an edit of the previous image, this one now showing a very blurred image, basically making it impossible to see what it was leaping. "Luckily, we worked to scrub it off the internet, now people are just gonna class it as another weird news that will probably be forgotten," she explained as she put the iPad down. The air was tense as she stared at me. She remained this way for a few moments before speaking.

"The MSC wanted me to bring you in, you being champion of morgana and all that," she said, this made me more nervous, as I wriggled to grab my amulet. But Gilles kept speaking, "however, lucky for you, I managed to convince them that you were not a threat. Of course, by letting you kill Achromon and giving you the chance to free gunmar, I tested you." she kept speaking, making me more nervous. "But, the good news is that, since you not only killed Achromon but also assisted in Stopping Gunmar. The council has agreed to let you go. Under One condition," Gilles then tapped something on her iPad. Showing it to me. It was a form, "Sign this, and you'll be monitored for around 6 months, if you pass, you'll be let go, you even get many benefits too" she explained simply but then paused. "Fail, and we will be forced to kill you," she said, plainly and simply. Her eyes burned into me.

I reached out, looked at the pad and read.

____________________________________________________________________________________

____________________________________________________________________________________

I read it over and over. Looking for any deceit but then Gilles smiled. "Surprised? This council was made to keep the world safe, your vampire friends are actually one of the parties in the council," she said much to my shock. I nodded, knowing to bring it up the next time I met them.

Slowly, I put down the Ipad. "so, if I sign this, I'll be watched, but I won't need to worry about being hunted?" I asked looking at Gilles. She nodded, "indeed, in fact, your battle with gunmar actually made many favours you during the meeting. In fact, many wish to assist you in your war to keep gunmar at bay. Even I'm surprised how many even want to meet you in person." she said with a smile. She then released the chains on me. She got up and placed a hand on my shoulder. "I know this is a lot, I've given you some time. You've already been through a lot the last few days." she looked at my leg before looking at me, "Keep the Ipad. once you sign it, I'll know." Gilles said understandingly before walking out the door and vanishing.

I watched her leave before looking down at the contract. I would be hunted if I didn't sign it, and It would put mum and Jim in danger. But... I would basically be on the leash of a company. I might have to ask vendel about this. So, I grabbed a bag, shoving supplies like my knife, spare clothes, a water bottle, and then the iPad.

So, I got out of my house and made my way to troll market on foot. Entering (forgot to mention, our arm was given the power to open the gate by vendel, meant to add it last time we were in troll market but it blanked in my mind), and slowly walking down the stairs. I passed by different trolls and made my way to the hearthstone. Eventually bumping into blinky along the way.

"Ah, master y/n, good to see you!" blinky said as Aaarrrgghh ran over, "hello friend," he said as he hugged me tightly. "Ah! Aaarrrgghh ribs," I gasped at the sudden impact, Aaarrrgghh smiled before putting me down on the ground. "So, what brings you to trollmarket today?" blinky asked as I now saw him holding many books. "I wanted to speak to vendel, " I said, and just like magic, vendel appeared. "Hello y/n, you wished to speak?" he asked. I nodded, so he gestured for me to follow.

I waved off blinky and ran after Vendel, who soon reached his workshop. "So, how has your life been fleshbag? Your brother's victory has made life far more at ease now, so it seems everything is more relaxed." vendel said as I hopped onto one of his large tables.

"I've been alright, the vampires are making my new leg right now, so that's great," I said, kicking the faking one back and forth. Vendel hummed, "ah, right, the vampires, I am quite surprised that they allied with you, being human and all. Ah, well, you humans are full of surprises." vendel said, it seemed his encounter with claire softened him up a little. I then decided to speak my mind, "vendel, are you aware of the MSC?" I asked. Vendel stopped moving.

He turned to look at me and nodded, "indeed, where have you heard of this?" he asked, tenser now. "I had an encounter with someone named, Gilles de Rai," I said, Vendel froze looking in shock. "She came in person?" he asked with surprise. "Um, yeah, she wanted me to sign this thing. Basically, people are going to be monitoring me." I explained as Vendel moved around.

He walked over before speaking. "The MSC are one of the only reasons trollmarket even exists. If they are monitoring you, it is best to just go along with it." vendel said but then he hummed. "But, with your status as morgana's champion, I am concerned with how they will feel about you," he said as he walked around, pondering to himself. "I do recommend you sign the contract, however, as long as you don't do anything "evil", you should be fine," he recommended to me. I raised an eyebrow at him stressing the 'evil' part. I then nodded, looking around before getting up. "Welp, I'll be around trollmarket tonight. I'll also sign it tonight. Just get this out the way." I said as I prepared to leave before vendel stopped me. "y/n, I may not like humans very much, but I heard of your... situation. If you ever require it, trollmarket will welcome you with open arms." vendel said before going to work on something.

I nodded before walking out. That's when I saw Claire, Jim and Toby running through troll market. I waved to them, and they saw me and ran over.

The events of the episode start here (after the first school thing)

I watched Jim running over to me. "Hey bro!" I smiled at him, waving him over. Jim smiled, running to me and hugging me. "woah! You got a new foot!" toby said as he walked over. I smiled, rolling up the pant leg, to show my metal leg. "Awesome sauce" toby gasped but Claire hit him over the head. "Not awesome sauce, he lost his leg for that, remember?" she scolded before walking over to me. "Nice to see you still standing," she said as we shook hands.

"Alright, I got to do some training, you guys go help blinky with finding a way to stop gunmar!" Jim said as he ran off to the coliseum. I shook my head and laughed. "Alright people, let's go," I said as the rest of us made our way to the library where blinky was now reading.

As we walked toby spoke up, "so, how's the new leg?" he asked while claire nudged him, "toby, you can't just ask that?" she scolded but I laughed. "It's fine Claire, I'm still getting used to it. It won't be permanent, a proper one is currently being made. So there's that. This is just so I can walk around." I explained, showing how the foot was very stiff. "Problem is this one isn't fully integrated into my body, the other will be basically my foot but probably metal. Also, it would be harder, since the bones on my leg were completely lost." I explained as we walked. Clair nodded, "that's interesting, to think we humans haven't even come up with a way to make new limbs." she commented which made me suddenly feel a jolt. Remembering my mission to bring balance. She was right, magic kind kept this a secret. So many have lost their limbs, and their lives were changed forever. With this, they could have had their normal life.

Before I could keep that trail of thought, we found our way to blinky's study. Books were tossed to the side and strewn across the floor. Blinky was rambling as I found cups of coffee all along the floor. "Oh, but this, no not possible," he was buzzing around the workshop as we watched in awe at the troll's speed.

I chuckled, watching the sight before wondering what Jim was up to.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Meanwhile with Jim: 3rd person POV

In the Void, the constellations which created many shapes like a goblin, the sword of daylight and many other beasts that was a part of troll history were shaped in the stars. A male voice reminded as blue orbs rained down on Jim, voices speaking to the New Trollhunter.

A male Trollhunter voice said, "You have defeated the son but not the father." it reminded "Gunmar is death" another voice said.

Jim swiped at the orbs that fell at him, causing them to evaporate. However, so many started falling towards him too quickly at the same time, pushing him, and Jim ran out of breath. Kanjigar began to speak to Jim as orbs kept colliding into his armour. "Blinkous and my son have trained you well in the art of single combat, but rarely will your enemies do the courtesy of striking one at a time." kanjigar said, as Jim kept fighting.

Four orbs appeared out of nowhere, Jim quickly used his sword to block them but they simply pushed him to the ground, letting Kanjigar point the sword at Jim. "So, you yield?" A female voice wondered.

Jim sighed, groaning. "Yes, yeah, I yield." He picked his head off from the floor to glare at them before dropping back down. "This stopped being fun for me a little while ago." he groaned. He couldn't stop thinking about what the spirits said about his brother. y/n, his mortal enemy? No way. He thought. The very idea of y/n fighting Jim was ridiculous. But then, a small traitorous thought pushed in. "but he lied to you, he kept his real life a secret, he left you," the little voice whispered but Jim ignored it. Shaking his head.

Kanjigar put the sword away as Jim looked to the side with a glare. "You must be prepared to face Gunmar." He held out a hand for Jim, helping the young Trollhunter up. "Well, I think you guys just made your point that I'm not. I'm not strong enough to kill Gunmar, even with my friends." kanjigar nodded, "We needed to be hard on you because you weren't gonna listen to us. You had to see for yourself."

The voices then spoke, "Besides, there's no way to kill Gunmar." "He's invincible." "No, he's not!" the voices argued with one another. "So far as we know." "What do you know?" The spirit of the past Trollhunters argued.

"What do they mean?" Jim wondered, looking up at Kanjigar. Kanigar let the sword float in a presenting matter, explaining. "That sword of yours has fought him many times but has never killed him. Your weapon and armour were crafted with a singular purpose in mind to protect both our worlds. Don't forsake that solemn mission to save one human child and lose your life in the process." he said. Kanjigar went to leave when Jim spoke, "wait!"

Kanjigar looked as Jim kinda bounced on his feet before asking, "kanjigar, I must ask." Jim started, wondering how he wanted to phrase it. "Why are you so against my brother?" he asked, wanting to know. Kanjigar turned to look at Jim, he seemed to ponder how to phrase it. "Your brother possesses your counterpart amulet. While you are meant to protect the balance of the magic world, your brother is meant to destroy the balance, He wields power that can destroy the world itself. He will bring an eclipse never-ending." kanjigar said before creating an image. it was y/n in his armour, standing across a battlefield covered in flames and bodies. He was fighting alongside gumm gumm warriors and the sun itself was eclipsed.

(editing this was so hard, scaling was the most difficult thing)

"While you, Jim, are the champion of merlin, Your brother is the champion of morgana. The champion of morgana and the champion of merlin are destined to clash. Much like the past champion of morgana." kanjigar explained but Jim shook his head. "Yeah, well, we don't do the whole 'destiny' thing. My brother saved my life and fought by my side, I won't give up on him." Jim said determined. But Kanjigar suddenly had a sympathetic look. "Perhaps he may not want to fight you, but he may not have a choice." Kanjigar finished ominously and turned before Jim could ask more.

As Kanjigar had walked away, his transparent sword began to glow and transported Jim from the void into the training grounds of Trollmarket. Jim opened his eyes once he was out of the void and listened to the sound of the floor click in place. Draal then called for his friend "Jim, did you see my father?" he asked.

The armour began to glow as well as the amulet before the armour disappeared and the amulet reappeared in Jim's hand. "I did," he said quietly. walking away with his eyes closed and his heart falling with worry and sadness. this sight of y/n's armour on the battlefield still burned into his mind. Jim felt hopeless seeing that sight. Jim remembered y/n going toe to toe with bular while Jim was almost killed. y/n killed a stalking with his bare hands. He lost his arm, eye and even his heart and yet he kept going. He lost his foot and kept smiling.

Compared to y/n, Jim felt like just a speck. if they were to fight, y/n would crush Jim. He then shook his head, no, they were brothers. sure they had bumps but they would stand together. but then, a small traitorous thought enter, "but Kanjigar said he might not have a choice," it warned. This made him more worried, worried his brother would be enslaved, and forced to fight him. such a thought sickened him to his core.

Before Jim could keep thinking, Drall broke him out of his thoughts and asked, "Did he speak of me?" Draal asked hesitantly, wanting to know if his father thought of him.

Jim hesitated before speaking, "um, Yeah. He wished the Soothscryer could let you in, but, you know, the rules are the rules." he tried to say but Drall sighed. "It's all right, Trollhunter. You don't have to lie to protect my feelings." drall said a little sadly.

"He said we can't kill Gunmar. I would only be leading my friends to their death," Jim said, keeping what the trollhunters said about y/n a secret. Jim looked away from drall, being ready to walk away when Drall spoke up with a smile, "Too bad. I was looking forward to proving him wrong." drall said with a grin, smacking his fists together.

Jim lightly chuckled. "So was I," he said before suddenly, Aaarrrgghh came stomping in, his breaths were heavy.

Jim looked at Aaarrrgghh with concern, "Aaarrrgghh, what's wrong?" he asked as Aaarrrgghh huffed, "Blinky." he said before Jim and Drall went running with Aaarrrgghh following suit.

ah, the seeds of tension have begun to nestle and bloom. how will the brothers push past this barrier? will they stand together or will they truly clash in a battle for the world? we'll just have to wait and see.

Also:

Hey, so yeah, I'm really going ham on expanding this world. I just found it so odd no one else seemed to know about magic kind. So, here we have the MSC. an organisation that works to keep magic a secret. This is how I'll expand the world.

for this book, I'm gonna be freer from the pressures/restrictions of the cannon. it will still follow the story, but we (y/n) won't be following the cast the entire. he'll follow his own journey. of course, he will be there for major moments and missions with the others, but he'll also be dealing with his arcs and struggles. otherwise, he'll just be another side character to the main cast like I found many y/n stories end up becoming.
