It was a normal day jimin and jungkook were lazing around in the living room as jimin listened to songs laying on the couch and jungkook was busy writting something which jimin was too busy to notice.
Both of them were lost in their own worlds.
The sun rays filled the room , it was warm and quite.
After few minutes jimin sat up straight taking off his ear phones and looking at jungkook.
He sat there staring at jungkook.
Waiting for jungkook to give him attention.
But ... jungkook was too busy to notice causing jimin to pout .
“ what are you even doing ? ” jimin asked.
“ why ? You need something ” jungkook asked not looking up.
“ what do you mean ? Do you think i call you only when i need something ? ” jimin retailed back he sounded upset .
“ that's no what i meant-” but before jungkook could complete his sentence jimin spoke again.
“ you don't even spend time with me these days, you're always busy , even on weekends you don't watch movies with me , you don't even talk to me before sleeping like you used to do , you're always either working or talking on your phone to other people ....you don't love me anymore ” jimin said with puppy eyes he held back tears turning around snuggling into fluffy .
Jk looked up sensing the seriousness in jimin's voice he had been really busy recently he didn't get time to speak to jimin properly , and not to mention this thing about yoongi was messing with his head , he didn't want to hide anything from jimin but he didn't know how to tell him either.
“ jimin it's... it's not that , don't say that, you know i love you a lot , never . ever . doubt my love for you no matter what . ” jungkook spoke sternly.
“ then why don't you spend time with me like before ...” jimin asked cutely.
“ ahh my baby needs attention isn't it? ” jungkook teased him in baby voice.
Jimin's cheeks heat up he looked away trying not to react but he couldn't help but feel the butterflies.
Jungkook chuckled knowing how much effect he has on jimin.
“ Come here ” jungkool patted on the couch next to him.
"Tell me what you want yo do, we'll do everything you want ".
"Umm...i just want to spend time with you... like we used to..."
"I'm sorry for not paying attention to you , i won't do it again , i won't make you feel like this again i promise ". jungkook softly took jimin into his arms .
"Cmon now get up , let's watch movies together, go to the room I'll join you with your favourite drink and popcorn" jungkook said picking up the dairy and pen beside him.
"Wait! It's... it's the dairy ...i- omg why do you have this !?" jimin was surprised to see the dairy in jungkook's hand , it was the same dairy he used to write in ...
"Don't tell me you read it ?" jimin asked as the colour drained out of his face , he remembered writting his feelings for jungkook in the dairy.
he got up trying to take it away from jungkook but failed as jungkook was quick to put it behind his back.
"Omg I'm so embarrassed." jimin whimpered hiding his face in his hands.
"There's nothing to be embarresed about jimin , anyone would fall for my charm". jungkook teased.
" jungkooooook " jimin whined.
" wait it's been a long since i read it , what did you write again " jungkook chuckled as jimin ran after him.
"Wait but what were you writting in it?" jimin questioned as jungkook froze.
" ahh lets go watch the movie " he said trying to avoid the conversation.
"No tell me i waanna know"
"Nothing" jungkook responded trying to end the conversation as he walked upstairs to put the dairy away . afterall how will he tell jungkook that he had been going crazy by just the thought of loosing jimin , it was not like he didn't trust jimin , but he couldn't help but feel paranoid . he didn't want jimin to know that he couldn't do the least as to trust his partner. he wanted to let jimin free , to make him feel equal , to see him happy , but deep down he wanted to keep jimin close to him forever , he wanted all of jimin's love . he wanted jimin to love him and only him and no one else . he wanted to keep jimin close to him away from the dangerous world outside , close to him where no one could touch him...jimin was him and only his to love .
but jungkook knew this wasn't right , he didn't want to suffocate jimin , he didn't want to act like a possesive maniac and scare jimin away . he had to control his emotions foe jimin's sake ... for the sake of his love.
LATER THAT NIGHT
after happily spending their weekend together jungkook and jimin were cuddling together after having a face time with jin and namjoon . the elder couple was happy to see them happy together .
after few minutes of silence jimin spoke " jungkook ...is somethimg wrong ? you know you can tell me anything ...right ?"
" jimin .... " jungkook spoke softly caresing jimins hairs as he lovingly looked into his eyes...
you're so beautiful ...i don't deserve you jimin...
" jimin ...if i tell you to do something ...will you do it...without asking me the reason ...can you just trust me ? please ...please? " jungkook asked his voice laced with desperartion.
" of course jungkook i'll do any thing you say ....i trust you , and i always will".
jungkook smiled .
" what is it ?" jimin asked , he was worried .
" stop talking to yoongi "
jimin frowned in confusion , he didn't expect jungkook to say this out of all the things.
" but-"
" you said you trust me " jungkook countered before jimin could question.
jimin took a deep breathe , he was confused ... why would jungkook ask him to stop talking to yoongi out of all people ...why?
jungkook knew how fond jimin was of his yoongi hyung.
at jimin's work yoongi was the only person who he looked forward to seeing .
he enjoyed being with yoongi ... no matter how cold the other was jimin knew , how good of a person yoongi was , after everything yoongi had done for jimin , how can he just ignore yoongi ....
but jimin knew he had no other choice , there must be a reason why jungkook wanted jimin to do this.
" i know it'll be difficult for you but please jimin , i won't ask anything off of you again just listen to me this once please...i'm doing this for you "
jungkooks eyes were full of emotions ...and jimin knew exactlly what he had to do . jungkook was jimins only reason to live. jimin loved him so much he would gladly give away every bit of his sanity to jungkook if thats what he had to do.
jimin could sacrife everything for jungkook... this was nothing.
.......AFTER FEW DAYS
Jimin was doing exactly what jungkook wanted him to do, he was ignoring yoongi like his life depended on it .
Everytime yoongi tried to talk to him jimin made an excuse as other just watched him with a shattered face ...
Jimin didn't like to hurt others... And of course not the people who cared so much for him.
Yoongi's face saddened everytime jimin ignored him ...he soon stopped trying. He would just leave the cafe in the lunch breaks because he thought jimin didn't like him being around.
It hurt jimin to core , seeing how his act was hurting yoongi so much that it was so obvious. Everyone noticed how yoongi looked awfully sad .
Jimin feld like he was suffocating under the cover of guilt . He wish he could just talk to yoongi once and tell the older that he had done nothing wrong , that jimin wasn't mad at him ...
Yoongi always tried to apologise to jimin ...saying he was sorry if he did something to hurt him .
Jimin felt like crying he couldn't take it anymore.
So he didn't come to work for few days .
That didn't help yoongi's guilt at all .
What did i do to make him hate me so much ? Does he know who i am ?? Does he know that i hurt people ? Is that why he isn't talking to me ...i just wanted to ... get close to him .
...
After all i don't deserve the luxury of having a good relationship with anyone...i don't deserve to be happy...
Yoongi felt depressed...he didn't know what to do all his life he lived suppressing all his emotions until he grew into a hollow shell of what he was ..he stopped having feelings because he believed that would make him week .
He lived and lived only with one moto...
And that was to protect jimin ...
But now the only person who made him feel something, the only reason for his existence denied his very existence.
Jimin wasn't even looking at yoongi in his eyes let alone speaking with him ...and it shattered yoongi to core ...
He didn't know that he could feel something like this...he didn't know that something could possibly hurt him this bad .
That was the moment he realised that he didn't just want to protect jimin but ...that he loved jimin .
Yoongi remembered the first time he met jimin ...that was
15 years ago...
