The dinner night with pack was going well with all the fun. I am getting closed with the other packmates just like as I've known them for years. Some girls were glaring at me as they dig holes in my head. Besides them all are good; they are gentle and welcoming making me breathe in relief as I am not in the mood of any drama.
Samuel placed his hand on my thigh while rubbing it and I tried to not concentrate on it and talked with the girl who was beside me. His hands stopped running on my thigh and I looked at him whose eyes became black as he was mind linking someone.
His once blank face was now replaced with the stoic face as he stared at the empty space. He blinked his eyes, and they became normal before turning towards me.
" What happened? " I whispered him to not disturb the atmosphere.
" After your meals go to our room, I will be back soon! " He said giving me a squeeze on my thigh before standing up leaving the food.
" But complete your food first! "
" I have some important matters to deal with! " He said while pecking on my forehead walking towards the exit as he took out his phone from his pocket. I sat there & watched his retrieved figure until he was nowhere in the sight.
I sat there worriedly, I excused myself from them giving a slight smile and went to my room. I sat on the bed and closed my eyes before taking a deep breathe relaxing myself.
" Dante? "
" Queen? What's wrong? " His immediately responded.
" Where are you, Dante? "
" I am near the building-1 Queen, searching for our people, just as we planned. "
" Dante, you can't do that now, try to go back to your hiding spot as soon as possible! " I whisper yelled at him.
" But Queen, why? I can feel our people presence here! " He said impatiently.
" Dante, No. Don't go there. Samuel stormed off the mansion with a dark witch, so do as I say! " I told him as my heart started to beat faster.
" What? "
" Don't ask me a question and run away from there. I will meet you near you-- "
I was about to tell him that I was about to meet him but stopped when the link between us was cut.
' No, I Can't let my people to suffer more than this! I have to do something. ' I thought as I paced around my room.
~ Samuel Zane Carson Pov ~
I was enjoying my time with my mate, as this is the first time seeing her interact with someone genuinely. I saw her as a Ceo in mortal world, she is ruthless and rude when she talks with the lowkey mortal. I expected her to be a bitch to my packmates, but she surprised me each time. My pack mates don't go to mortal world except us (Kings) so that's a relief, that their first impression on their Luna isn't that bad.
I sat there as I saw her who was talking with our pack members gently with a smile adoring her face. But there was a slight tension on her face making me frown. To ease her tension, I placed my hand on her thigh and rubbed it gently under the table.
Her eyes widened and she glared at me before she tried to remove my hand, but I placed it there firmly and ate my food without any emotions displaying on my face. But then suddenly Spade's wolf started to pound on our mind wall. I removed the barrier and asked casually,
" Hey, Spade. What's up? "
" The fuck dude, I was calling to your damn mobile from an hour, where did you keep it? Anyway, It's an emergency. We can track his smell and I am here with the witch, so be quick. "
" Okay, I'm on my way. " I said before putting a barrier between us.
" What happened? " Amaris whispered gently. I ignored her question and said,

I walked towards the building-1 and stood in the entrance without walking in and saw my guards who stood on their guard with the dark witch who was running her hands through her hair and saw tiny green sparkles through her hair. I mind linked Spade that I've arrived, and he came out of the room and walked towards me ignoring the Witch who was trying to seduce him.
" Did you give the potion to all our guards? " I asked him as I brushed my hair back studying the file he brought.
" Yes, and this is the details about the witch, and I can sense his scent here, but I couldn't find him even though our guards are still searching for him. " He said groaning.
" Call that Witch and bring her with you with some of our guards I will go & check until then, be quick! " I said as I walked away from them sniffing the air.
I stood in the middle of the trees closing my eyes, I used my hearing power as I continued to wait for my prey to make a move. The tiny scrunch of the dry leaves was heard through my left side and mind linked Spade who was coming here with the witch and guards.
And then I heard his footsteps which were speeding towards me. I stood there calmly and when the wind was hitting me harshly, I moved towards my right missing his hit. I opened my eyes and then I saw him.
The demon was flying high in the sky, circling above the city like a vulture waiting for its prey. I could see the demon's wings spread wide as it glided on the air currents, the tips of its wings sharp as knives. The demon was a fearsome sight, but I was not afraid. I had faced worse enemies in my life, and I was not about to let this demon get the better of me.
He flew down with a fierce look on his face and I stood there bored of his games, I changed into my black wolf, and we circled each other warily, both sizing up the other for weaknesses. The demon had wings, which would give him an advantage in air, but I was faster and stronger on the ground.
Usually, I wait for my opponent to strike but this time I strike first because he is taking too much time. I strike first, leaping at the demon and swiping at him with my powerful claws. The demon flew up out of reach, dodging my attacks easily. The demon then swooped down, striking at me with his own claws. I was ready this time, and dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the demon's claws.
We two adversaries circled each other again, each looking for an opening. I lunged at the demon again, but the demon flew out of reach. The demon then dived at the me, his claws extended. I dodged to the side again, but the demon's claws scratched my side, causing me to bleed.
I growled in rage and leapt at the demon again. This time, I caught the demon in my powerful jaws and bit down hard. The demon screamed in pain as my teeth punctured his flesh. He thrashed wildly, but he couldn't break free.
The air started to beat harshly, and I growled at him still holding in his place with my canines waiting for him to die. He was thrashing widely as he whimpered out in pain, and then I heard the sound of the wind, which was howling. The winds were hitting me hardly, but I didn't back down and stood on my guard.
I removed my canines from his flesh so gently and moved back as if I was under the control of someone. I tried to move but I couldn't and then my eyes met with a certain Black eye.
The black eyes which held no emotions in it until the eyes moved towards the demon, which was whimpering in pain. And then those eyes moved towards me. For the first time in my life, I saw many emotions running in a demon's eyes.
And it made me uneasy.
The eyes of a demon are said to be the windows to their soul. They are said to be deep and dark, almost black in color. They are said to be cold and soulless, almost as if they are dead. They are said to stare into your soul, as if they are trying to read your very thoughts. They are said to be unnerving and can make even the bravest of men feel uneasy.
