Mike knocks on the Byers door and Joyce immediately answers it
"Thanks for coming he hasn't come out of his room or eaten in 3 days"
"Yeah no problem"
She lets Mike in and he walks over to wills room
"Will sweetie are you ok?"
It's completely silent
"Baby can i come in?"
Mike decides to check if it's locked the door clicks open and he enters he sees will sitting on his bed with his head to his knees and a blanket wrapped around him. Mike closes the door and walks over and sits next to his boyfriend.
"Sweetie what's wrong?"
Mike pulls Will into a hug
Will whimpers
"Babe are you ok?"
Will burys his head in mikes shoulder
"I'm s-sorry"
"Baby what's going on?"
"I don't r-really know how to e-explain it but sometimes i h-have nightmares and this time it got bad"
Mike pulls the small boy closer
"What was it?"
"I was b-back in the upside down i waited and waited and then you and mom where there but you didn't have faces and you said your next and then your limbs fell off and then it was like an echo saying your next your next"
Will starts shaking
"Shh shh it's ok it was just a dream i won't let anything happen to you"
Mike gently kisses wills head and rubs his back comfortingly.
Mike grabs a granola bar from his pocket and hands it to will
"Here you need to eat"
Will takes it and starts eating it
They sit in a peaceful silence for around 2 hours until will falls asleep on mikes shoulder will starts shaking in his sleep "shh shh it's ok baby I'm right here" Mike whispers in his boyfriends ear
Will wakes up and calms down
"Want me to sleepover Tonight?"
"Y-yes please"
"Ok let me go ask your mom"
Mike walks out of wills room to find ms Byers cooking in the kitchen
"Hello Mike, how did it go?"
"Pretty good, i was wondering if i could sleep over here tonight"
"Yes of course thank you for helping will"
"Yeah of course"
Mike goes back to wills room and the cuddle till dinner
