*Will's Pov*
"Have they found her?" Asked Maggie as I was looking at some labs.
"I don't know. Jay said he would text me but he hasn't. I haven't heard from any of them."
"She'll be okay."
"I hope so."
"Ethan! Maggie! We need help!" Shouted Adam as he ran in.
I was putting on gloves ready to treat Kat's injuries but my face turned to shock when they dragged Jay in. He was barely conscious and blood was dripping down his face and onto his shirt.
I looked around frantically for Kat but she was no where to be seen.
Everyone was running in, waiting to hear news on Jay but I couldn't find Kat.
"Where is she?"
"Will Jay be okay?" Asked Kim towards one of the nurses.
"Where is she!?" I shouted, looking through the waiting area.
"Will!" Shouted Kat as she came running through the doors.
I turned to face her as she ran into my hug. I hugged her so tight and nestled my head into her neck as I let a few tears run.
"God, I was so worried."
"I'm okay."
"I know."
"Is Jay okay?"
"I don't know. I was worried about you that I didn't have time to think about him. Ethan is dealings with him though."
"God, I thought I'd never see you again."
"It's okay, Kat. I've got you."
"I know, Will."
"She needs some medical care." Said Maggie as we walked towards her desk.
"What?" I asked and looked down at Kat.
She had dried blood on her forehead and a few cuts up her legs.
"C'mon, let's get you sorted." I said and took her to an empty room.
"So, what happened?" I asked.
"About the injuries?"
"Yeah, we'll start with that."
"My head was slammed into a concrete wall and I was dragged along the floor by my leg. They also used some knockout gas. It's given me a bit of headache."
"Okay. I'm going to get you a CT scan for your head and some painkillers for the headache."
"Thanks." She said as I pushed back her hair.
"Let me just grab something to clean the wound."
I grabbed some water and dabbed the area before grabbing some rubbing alcohol. I put some on a cotton wool ball and dabbed it on her head, Kat pulled back and grabbed my wrist.
"I'm cleaning it."
"I know but it stings."
"It's not that bad."
"Ow!" Shouted Jay from the other side of the hospital.
"You have cut wounds, Jay. I need to clean them!" Shouted Ethan.
"See, it does hurt. It's like getting lemon juice in a papercut."
"Oh, that shit stings." Said Josh as he stepped into the room.
"Alright, I'm done. You can talk to Josh while we wait for someone to call you for your CT."
*Kat's Pov*
"You okay?" He asked me as he sat down on the end of the bed.
"Yeah, you?"
"I'm fine. I was worried about."
"Where's the bruise from?"
"Before they entered the pool, I hit one of them. I though maybe it would help you hide or escape. I was wrong. One of the guys hit me back."
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"Trying to help."
"What do I get as a thank you?"
"I dont know. Maybe a date."
"I think we're past the dating stage."
"Uh, no. I never got my dance in front of the sunset."
"Okay, we'll go on a date but can I at least have a kiss."
"Yeah." I giggled.
He tucked a piece of hair behind me ear before he cupped my cheek and leaned in. The kiss was sweet and it was slow.
When we pulled away, I saw Jay stood at the door.
"Hey, kid."
"Oh my god. Are you okay?" I said and stood up to hug him.
"Go careful, my ribs."
"If you hurt her, I'll kill you." Said Jay towards Josh.
"Yes, Sir."
"Good. Will is going to take you to your CT. I'll see you in a bit."
When I came back, Will already had the results and luckily they were all clear.
"I need to tell you guys something." I said as we were leaving the hospital.
We were stood by Maggie's desk as everyone gathered around, well at least my family did.
"Um, as some of you know, I was accepted into NYU and would be leaving next year when I turned eighteen."
"But?" Asked Maggie.
"But I got accepted into another school, a very good one in New York but it does mean I will be away for a while."
I looked over at Bella who had a big smile on her face like she knew what was coming. It looked genuine as well, like she wasn't upset that I would be going off to a different school.
"I got accepted into NYU Grossman School Of Medicine."
"No freaking way! That's one of the best medical schools in the world." Said Will as he hugged me.
"And, there is another announcement." I said as I looked towards Bella.
"I have been accepted into the LAPD SWAT training programme. The training is in New York and if I get accepted, I will be put in SWAT. If not, I will either become patrol or I was hoping that maybe..."
"Yes, there will always be a spot for you in Intelligence." Said Hank.
I walked up to Bella and hugged her before whispering something in her ear.
"We may not be at the same school but thank god we are in the same city. And well done, for getting into that training program."
"Well done for getting into one of the best medical schools." She said and hugged me back.
"Alright, I think this calls for one of my famous BBQs." Said Antonio.
"Date?" Asked Will.
"I'll text everyone and let you all know."
"Alright, see you guys. I don't want to see any of you in here for a while. If it's a broken finger or arm, head over to East Mercy."
"Will do, Maggie." Laughed Hank as we all the left the hospital.
We all went our different directions, Hank left kind of quickly and then Adam and Kim went together. Antonio and Bella left after saying goodbye.
"You okay?" I asked Jay as he hopped in the drivers seat.
"Yeah. I would let you drive now that you have your license."
"Maybe I should."
"Alright, hop in the drivers seat."
I hopped in the drivers seat and started driving us home but Jay ended up stopping me after I went across the road just milliseconds before our light was to turn red.
"Just got out of hospital, I don't want to end up back in."
"Sorry but we had enough time."
"You are not to do that again."
"Yep, sorry."
"Let's just get home and chuck on a movie. You said you already ordered pizza?"
"Yeah, Will said he will be home in five."
"Five? We'll be home in five, he's lying unless he wants to break a few speed limits."
"That's his issue, not mine." I said and hopped out of the car.
"Hey, guys." Said Will as he pulled up next to us.
"How did you get here so quickly?" I asked.
"Because I drive quicker than you."
"I don't drive slow." I said.
"Yeah but I didn't have to swap drivers."
"Good point."
"Let's go, kid. I'm hungry and want to watch The Lost City." Said Will as he ruffled up my hair.
"Alright, I'm coming." I said and followed them up the stairs to the apartment.
