︿︿،، ♡ ⏧·₊̣̇. "

Minji sat in silence, waiting for anything to happen as the gates opened.

If minji was being honest, she had only seen these gates once and that was when she was younger and had her mother around.

Besides that time, minji tried to stay away from the castle gates as much as possible. It was only because she tended to think of one of the little memories she had with her mother.

Taehyung had a grin on his face watching Minji look out the window.

He gave a nod to Namjoon, telling him that proceeding was okay. Namjoon immediately waved his hand out the window, making the carriage start again.

It didn't take long for the carriage to stop again, signaling that they were at the entrance.

Minji gripped the seat she was at as she watched Namjoon open the door and step out.

"Dear, let's go," taehyung said, waiting for Minji to get out of the carriage.

When minji made no indication of leaving and glaring at the prince, all he could do was sigh.

"Namjoon," was all taehyung had to say before Minji felt herself getting picked up from the carriage.

She yelped as she was, again, thrown over the soldier's shoulder.

"Hey- ugh let me go!" Minji gasped out.

Taehyung watched with a sly smirk, stepping out of the carriage.

He closed the door himself and then clapped his hands, making the carriage start again.

Minji watched in disbelief. This guy was crazy.

"Darling, you're going to love it here! I can just tell by the look of your clothes!" Taehyung chirped, basically skipping behind Namjoon to talk to the girl.

"That's rude you- LET ME GO!" Minji yelled out, hitting Namjoon in the back. It didn't do much besides him letting out a quiet "oof".

Minji was a little taken back at the fact her hits didn't do much. Maybe he was too strong.... or his uniform protected him?

Minji didn't know nor was this the time to care.

Taehyung laughed loudly as they made their way into the large beautiful door. The sight of the insides of the castle almost made Minji keep quiet due to how amazing it looked.

However, minji was not about to give up.

"What the hell do you even want you stuck up rich boy?" Minji hissed out.

Taehyung stopped in his tracks and let out a dramatic gasp. Hand over his heart as if she has just offended his entire bloodline.

"You are a rude little thing!" Taehyung whined out. He started following Namjoon again once he realized he wasn't going to stop.

"AND YOU BACK THERE!" Minji yelled out to the few guards behind Taehyung. They were at a distance but that didn't save them from Minji's pissy mood. "AREN'T YOU GOING TO DO SOMETHING?"

The guards awkwardly looked away as Taehyung smirked.

"They aren't going to listen to you darling. Come, to my chambers," Taehyung chuckled and walked past Namjoon and Minji.

"No! Put me down!" Minji yelled out, her vision began to become blurred as tears started to fill her eyes. She was frustrated, rightly so.

Namjoon didn't say anything and neither did Taehyung as they made their way up the grand stairs.

All Namjoon could do was silently sigh hearing the girl hold back her sobs. He felt it was wrong to think her sobs sounded pretty. He felt like a perverted weirdo with his thoughts.

Minji continued to try to hold back her tears and sobs. She wished she was with one of the boys, someone she kinda knew. Yoongi, jungkook would be okay, Hoseok too. Hell, even Jimin was preferred over these guys. Even if he was now on her hit list, she rather be fighting with him than be stuck here with the snobby prince and his quiet knight.

Minji glanced around, trying to spot her surroundings when she noticed how close she was to the railing of the stairs.

Without a second thought, she latched on. The action made Namjoon pull back, losing his grip on the girl. She was able to get off his shoulder and onto one of the stairs. It was a tight squeeze but she was able to get through the space between the guard and the short wall supporting the stairs.

Taehyung noticed the increase of sound behind him and turned around. Only to see the girl rushing down the stairs with Namjoon following behind her.

"What the fuck..." Taehyung hissed out before rushing down the stairs also.

Minji had ran into one of the couple of guards that had been in the room. Most of them had moved onto another part of the castle most likely.

"Oh, are you supposed to be-" the guard was cut off by the yells of the two males running down the stairs?

"Grab her!" Namjoon called out as he got to the last stair. He ran forward, trying to grab Minji but before he could, minji pushed the guard away and ran down the closest hallway.

Namjoon followed close behind, trying to grab at her as much as possible.

Taehyung yelled in Frustration seeing Minji slip away. Thankfully his most trusted friend and guard was going after her.

"You," Taehyung hissed at the guard who stood there in fear.
Taehyung slowly walked toward the guard, glaring.

"You idiot..." Taehyung was now standing in front of the guard who looked like he was about to cry.

"You let her get away..." the guard knew better and stayed quiet.

"If she ends up escaping, it will be your fault..." Taehyung was getting angrier at the second. The only way to relieve that anger was to take it out on someone. Good thing there was a guard there, even better that he was the one who let Minji get away.

The guard was then slapped, falling to the ground.
He held his cheek, tears filling up in his eyes.

"This will only be a warning and the first part of your punishment. FIND HER," taehyung yelled at the other guards in the room before rushing into the hallway that Namjoon and Minji had.

Minji had turned into two different hallways and Namjoon was still close behind her.

It was unfair to minji. She had only had one advantage and that was her speed, even then she didn't know how much longer she could run before she couldn't anymore.

Namjoon was stronger and most likely faster, minji thinks he was just taken back by her sudden move and if it was any other situation, he would be so much faster. Not only that but he also knew the castle unlike her. She was truly running without any idea. All she wanted was to find a safe place to hide for a while before making her way out a window or something.

Minji noticed the only footsteps in the hallway were her own, she slowed down, taking a look around before slipping into the closest room.

She gently closed the door behind her, not wanting to cause any attention.

Looking around, the room was some kind of office. There were books upon books all over the walls. The large desk in front of the window had piles of notebooks and paper.
On the window seal, different plants and herbs were placed. The island table had what looked like knock off potions and witchcraft.

There were three jars of water on the table, hesitantly, minji came toward and opened one up. She sniffed it, instead of sighing. It was under-charged moon water. How that was even possible? Minji didn't even know.

She then picked up a common crystal nearby, just by holding it, she knew it was also undercharged.

Minji sighed as she placed the crystal in the sunlight.

Humans...

With that, Minji had to find out how high the window was from the ground. She needed to get out of here. It was starting to get stuffy.

She gently pushed the papers away as minji stepped on it. She looked out and down the window. It wasn't a high jump but she could risk twisting something.

Minji tried to push the window open for it not to open. With a sigh of frustration, she tried again, pushing harder this time.

Why the hell are their handles on this thing if it's not going to open? Oh. It's locked.

She scoffed at herself, unlocking the window and pushing the window open.

A breath of fresh air hit her and she couldn't help but smile.

The plants were pushed away as she swiftly put one of her legs out the window. Suddenly the door swung open.

Minji yelped in surprise and when she saw Namjoon huff through the door, she was frantic to get her other leg out.

She was about to jump out when Namjoon wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her back into his chest.

Minji let out another yelp when they both fell to the ground. She started to struggle in his hold. She guesses she tended to do this a lot...

"Let me go" minji cried out when she felt him tighten his grip.

"Yah, calm down! I'm not going to hurt you!" Namjoon tried to voice over her.

She kept letting out little yelps and whines, which didn't do well for Namjoons dirty mind but whatever.

"Listen," namjoon said, putting his hand over her mouth, shocking the hell out of her. "If you don't calm down, I'm going to have to take you back to the prince,"

Minji started to shake her head frantically.
"Right. I know you don't want that. So are you going to be quiet and listen?"

Minji stayed still for a moment before slowly nodding.

"Good," namjoon praised, moving his hand and, awkwardly, moving her around to face him. His grip was still on her.

"See? Easy!" Namjoon smiled.

Damn it. He's attractive.

Minji gulped looking at him.

"Let's start over okay? I'm Kim Namjoon... official first Knight of the prince..." He said slowly, testing the water. "And you are?"

"Minji..." She looked at him uncertainly.

"Just minji? No last name?" Namjoon asked.

"No last name..." minji shyly confirmed.

"Title?" Namjoon asked curiously. He was hoping that the question would end up with him knowing what creature she was.

"No title..." minji gulped again.

"That's silly, everyone has one." Namjoon joked. However, Minji didn't pick up on that and her nervousness turned into annoyance.

"Not everyone."

"I was joking! I promise... uh... how do I word this..." namjoon chuckled nervously.

"What... what creature are you?"

" why does that matter?" Minji snapped. Namjoon winced at her tone.

"Well... I was just thinking how human you look and none of the other creatures' attributes fit you..."

"I'm a witch. I do witchcraft..." minji slowly said. "And, just so you know, if you're basing the attributes on the silly books you humans right, most of them are incorrect,"

"A witch?!" Namjoons soul almost left his body.

"That's what I said..." minji rolled her eyes.

"That's...That's...amazing!" Namjoon stood up, bringing Minji up with him.

"I've been studying different creature and their powers and witchcraft have always been my favorite," Namjoon smiled in disbelief.

Minji didn't know if she should be flattered or creeped out.

" you see, whatever I do, it doesn't seem to work... will you inspect my work to tell me what I've been doing?" Namjoon pleaded.

"I... suppose?" Minji wasn't sure if she should but her niceness was coming out. At the worst time too.

Namjoon let go of Minji, eyeing her. "Just so you know, the door is locked..." Namjoon said before shuffling through some papers on the desk.

"This is my study that the prince had let me take over as the old guy that was in here died after setting the kitchen on fire..." Namjoon said with a chuckle.

Minji watched Namjoon pick a couple of papers off the desk and a couple of crystals from the drawer.
He placed them all on the table and looked up at her with an exciting look.

"Uh.. well if I'm being honest," minji started, Namjoon nodding at her words. "Your moon water is undercharged... if charged at all,"

"How do you know?" Namjoon asked, he quickly took a quill and a blank piece of paper, ready to take notes.

"I smelled it earlier..." minji looked away, embarrassed by her actions.

"You can smell that kind of thing?" Namjoon asked, not believing what he was hearing. He took a jar and quickly opened it, taking a sniff.

"Yea... it smells like normal water from the well... you need to... how do I put this... sweet?" Minji nodded at her choice of words.

"What? Really? How do I change it?" Namjoon asked as he started writing on his paper.

"You let it set under a full moon?" Minji didn't know why he didn't know that.

"Okay okay, anything else?" Namjoon asked, eyes wide.

Minji picked up the crystal, humming and putting it back down immediately.

"What? What is it?" Namjoon asked, worried.

"That one isn't charged at all, and the one I placed by the window wasn't either... and before you ask, there are different ways to charge them so..." minji said, watching Namjoon quickly write away on the paper.

"Oh... what do I need to do for the spells and things like that to work? Even if everything is charged?" Namjoon frowns.

Minji sighed and looked around. She was about to break this boy's heart. "Even if things like your water or crystals are charged it's hard for non-witches to complete an effective spell... even other creatures have a hard time doing it. Non-witches wouldn't have been able to smell the water or feel if the crystal was charged or not. All your research will be nice but in the long run, you doing spells won't work or if they do, it's not doing to last long..."

Namjoon sighed and nodded. "I figured but I still had that hope... you know?"

Minji nodded. "I get it. I have a special friend that was really into witchcraft but when I told him he wasn't able to, he stuck to getting me my supplies instead. I even have a grandma and another friend who are into it but can't do much since they aren't witches"

Namjoon didn't know how to feel about this "special friend" but he pushed it away.

"Then... would you... show me something?"

"What? Like a spell?"

Namjoon nodded his head, eager.

"Uh," Minji took a look around to see if he had any supplies that would work or wouldn't take forever.

Minji spotted a wilting flower and pointed to it. Namjoon immediately straightened up and went to grab it.

"Do you have chalk?" Minji asks, taking the flower pot and placing it on the table.

Namjoon went to find some without another word, excited to see what minji was about to do. Hopefully not blowing up the room.

As namjoon set the box of chalk down, minji cleared an area of the table. Since the flower was small, the area didn't need to be big nor would take long.

Namjoon eyed minji as she took chalk out of the box and drew a perfect circle. She then started to draw symbols Namjoon had never seen before.

"What are those?" Namjoon whispered. Minji tsked and shook her head.

Namjoon shut up and watched more intensely.

Minji finished drawing six symbols around the circle, dropping the chalk on the table, and placing the wilting flower in the middle.

Namjoon watched as nothing happened. Was he being lied to? Certainly not...right?

Minji then leaned down a bit and blew at the chalk. The chalk started to blow away with nothing but a bit of air. It slowly flew away as nothing, as if nothing was ever there in the first place.

The room was silent until the light started coming from the table, in the same markings as the chalk was before.

Namjoon gasped at the lighted symbols on the table. It wasn't too bright but it brung light into the dim room.

As soon as the symbols and circle were completed, the wilted flower started to rise, blooming as if it was perfectly fine beforehand.

Once Minji decided it was finished, she grabbed the flower pot and placed it down, outside the circle. The lighted symbols and circle completely disappeared.

"How..."Namjoon whispered, grabbing the pot and inspecting it.

"It's a-"

Minji was cut off by a knock at the door.

"Namjoon! I was told you were in here! Open up!"
