Chapter 113:
At the time of the night, the moon was shining in the sky and the stars were twinkling over the hospital. Neil was standing in the room and was looking at Avni who was unconscious.
Neil thinks.
Flashback:
It was the time of the night, Avni came into the room by keeping her hand on her belly, she pressed her lips and goes to sit on the bed. She was not able to walk because she had a sprain in her foot because of the evening incident.
Neil entered the room while talking on the phone and Avni looked at him and passed him a faint smile. Neil signed what happened. Avni shook her head. Neil nods but he understood by seeing her face that something is wrong. Neil cuts the call and turns to her. Neil came to Avni.
Neil: what happened, you are looking low.
Avni kept the hand on her abdomen.
Avni: It is aching here.
Neil sat.
Neil: where?
Avni touched her belly. Neil touched her and checked her pulse.
Neil: since when it is aching?
Avni: Now. In the evening, I felt a pain in my back but I thought it is because of stumbling then it was fine but now it is aching here.
Neil: you lay, let me talk to the doctor.
Avni nods. She rests her back on the pillow.
Neil: Avni, lay properly.
Avni: give me some time, I will lay slowly.
Neil: ok.
Neil got up and dialled the doctor's number.
Neil: Hello, Doctor Prachi. Sorry to disturb you at this time but Avni is having a pain in her lower abdomen.
Dr: why? Did she eat something?
Avni hugs her belly and pressed her lips.
Neil: actually.
Neil told her about the birds incident.
Dr: Doctor Neil, I am sending you the prescription in your message box, give her that and bring her to my hospital tomorrow.
Neil: I can bring her now also if any gynaecologist is available.
Dr: I am out of town else I will suggest you come now but don't worry, give her that medicine she will feel better.
Neil: ok.
Neil cuts the call and turns his face to Avni. He goes to her.
Neil: is it aching more?
Avni nods. The phone beeps. Neil opened the message.
Neil: I am going to purchase these medicines, ok. I will be back soon, ok.
Avni nods.
Neil goes and comes back soon. Shweta and Bebe were sitting with Avni. Neil came and sat with her.
Neil: Avni, medicine.
Neil fed medicine to Avni and sat beside her. He was caressing her hair. Soon, Avni slept.
Shweta: I think, she got relief.
Neil looked down then he looked at Avni. Neil caressed Avni's hair. Neil looked at Bebe and Shweta.
Neil: mom, Bebe, Avni is fine you both can go and have a rest.
They nod.
Shweta: if you need anything, do tell me.
Neil nods. They go, Neil thinks. He got up and locked the door then he came back and sat. Neil caressed her hair then he goes to his side and lays. Neil was looking at Avni and his eyes gets heavy then he slept.

Neil's phone rings and he came back to reality. Neil looked around and realised that he is in the hospital. Neil squeezed his nose and wipes his eyes and face. Neil took a deep breath and took out his phone. It was Arnav's number. Neil thinks. He rubs his nose with the back of his wrist and picked up the phone.
Neil: Hello.
Arnav: Hello, Neil, how are you?
Neil: Fine, you say, Bhai?
Arnav: fine. Ab, wo where is Avni? I dialled her number but she did not receive my call. Is she alright?
Neil looked at Avni.
Neil: wo, Bhai, she is sleeping.
Arnav: she is fine, right?
Neil: yes, Bhai, she is fine. She slept earlier because of the effect of the medicine.
Arnav: Neil, why I am feeling you are laying. Already, I am feeling restless please tell me the truth.
Neil in mind: what should I do? I should tell the truth to Bhai or not?
Neil thinks and Arnav again called his name.
Neil: wo, Bhai, Avni is in hospital.
Arnav was shocked.
Neil: but don't worry, she is fine, she had pain in her abdomen and her haemoglobin was also low so we have transfused the blood. The doctor has given her a sleeping dose now she is sleeping. She is fine.
Arnav: you are in your hospital.
Neil: yes.
Arnav: I am coming.
Arnav was about to move.
Neil: no, Bhai, no need for this. If you come here then others will get tensed. Trust me, Avni is fine and we will go home in the morning if you want, you can come there. Please understand.
Arnav rubs his mouth.
Arnav: ok, please Neil, take care of her, please, she is my only sister.
Neil: you don't need to say this. I will take care of her.
Arnav was silent.
Neil: Bhai, please don't tell others about it they will take stress unnecessarily, please.
Arnav: ok. Take care, bye.
Neil: bye, Bhai.
Neil cuts the call, he looked at Avni and caressed her hair. Neil kissed her forehead. Neil looked at Avni.
The sun rises and the people start their day. The roads were floating with the vehicles.
In the room of the hospital, Avni was laying unconsciously. She stirs and moves her hand. Avni opened her eyes after a few attempts of opening her eyes. She slowly opens her eyes and shut them again. She opens her eyes and looks at the roof. She looks around and realised that she is in the hospital. She thinks. Avni came back to reality by hearing the sound of opening the door. Avni looked there.
Neil entered the room and saw Avni is awake. Neil smiled to see her and came to her. Neil caressed her hair and kissed her forehead. Avni closed her eyes.
Neil: good morning, love. How are you now?
Avni: fine.
Neil smiled.
Neil: ok then let's check this.
Neil checked her pulse and eyes then he checked her Blood pressure and Avni was looking at him.
Neil: hmm, PB is normal. First, we will do your blood test then I will get something for you to eat. OK.
Avni nods. Neil smiled. He goes out and comes back in a few minutes. The doctor also comes with him.
Doctor: Good morning.
Avni: morning.
Doctor: how are you?
Avni: better.
Doctor: that's good. She checked her eyes.
Doctor: see, Avni, you are mature and you don't need anyone's advice, especially from an outsider but as a doctor, I want to tell you some things. Avni, now you are weak and you need complete bed rest at least for some weeks. Not only this but you also have to take medicine on time and take care of yourself. Avni, I know, it is a difficult phase of your life and you will overcome it with time but you should also be careful. Avni was shocked. Neil looked at Avni.

I am a doctor, I have seen many cases where ladies got pregnant just after a few months of their miscarriage but I also saw the ladies who cried for the babies just because of their negligence so I just want to suggest you that if you want to become a mother then you have to have a proper rest and take care of yourself. Avni nods.
Doctor: good.
The doctor smiled, she looked at Neil who blinked his eyes and the doctor goes. Neil turns to Avni and smiled. Neil sat beside her.
Neil: hmm, so did you hear, what did the doctor say? Take care of yourself. Now, you will think that how can I take care of myself by laying on the bed? Right? Well, you can. Do you know how?
No response. Avni looked down.
Neil: no, ok, let me tell you. You can take care of yourself by having a balanced diet. You can take care of yourself by having medicine on time. You can take care of yourself by keeping your mind positive, I know, it is difficult but anything can happen if you try and put the effort into that. Hmm.
Neil holds her hands in his hands. Avni looked at the hands then she looked at Neil.
Neil: And your Neil, your family is with you so there is nothing to worry about anything. Isn't it? Hmm.
Neil smiled. Avni too smiled slightly. Neil sighs to see her.
