♡ you and kenny agreed to keep your relationship a secret fairly early on. you were a private person and so was he. you both knew how toxic the internet could be so you didn't exactly want to put your relationship out there
♡ in fact, your relationship is so private that most of the locker room doesn't know either. a few dates later though, you decided that you don't want to keep it a secret from everyone. he told the elite, and you told your close friends and that was it
♡ this didn't make it awkward backstage. you guys still hugged and conversed the way you usually did. people just thought that you two are good friends
♡ a lot of the time though, you were in their locker room. dating kenny or not, you still would've been there. they were nice guys to hang out with, and they enjoyed your company
♡ whenever you're in the elite's locker room, because they knew you were together, there is a lot of pda which makes your friends jokingly gag
♡ nobody hates the pda situation more than mister brandon cutler who is in charge of editing being the elite
♡ sometimes he'll edit a whole segment of either the bucks talking to the audience. he'll make sure that it's perfectly audible and that he lighting is good and everything before he realizes that you and kenny are cuddling and kissing and just generally being cute within the frame and the clip is basically unusable unless he wanted to expose your relationship, but we all know two contract cutler wouldn't do that
♡ the reason why you guys were so affectionate when you're in the locker room is because you can't let it all out when you're in public which can be a challenge at times
♡ even before you and kenny were actually lovers, rumors of you and him dating were already circulating because of how close you are. you guys traveled together, hung out together and everything. some people believed it, some people did not.
♡ thankfully because of this, you guys didn't really have to change much about your interactions. you could still travel together and go on dates and most fans thought you were just pals doing pal things. that was the way you liked it
♡ but what really sucked was not being able to hold his hand across the table or quickly peck his lips when you were outside. that really was awful because you think he's adorable
♡ you hate not being able to lean in and kiss him across the table when you're in a restaurant, he hates not being able to put his arm around you when you guys are having a stroll at the park, you hate not being able to wrap your arms around him and rest your head on his chest while you're walking around new york city, he hates not being able to hug you when you're shivering because you're in public
♡ if either you or him are vlogging for being the elite or anything, you tell each other so you don't accidentally go to where the other is filming. especially if it's a live video or a stream
♡ knowing how obsessive the internet can be as well, you've decided to only film in a designated place so people won't be able to piece together the fact that you guys live together. they won't see the background of kenny's video in one of yours and vice versa
♡ there were many times where you thought of making in public. it was a challenge to keep everything private. sometimes you did just want to scream about your boyfriend and how wonderful he is but you decided against it. it has the potential to do more harm than good
♡ you both have seen your fair share of celebrity relationship announcements. for the most part, people were supportive and seemed to be happy for the couple, but there were also times when people were disrespectful and violated their privacy. some would even say a lot of harmful things all because they had a crush on a celebrity, and that celebrity was dating someone else
♡ you guys didn't want to deal with that
♡ you both have seen your fair share of celebrity break ups as well. most people were nice and respectful and wished both parties well, but there are also times where they weren't. whether a fan used it as a "i told you so. they belong with me" moment, or something else, the negativity was unavoidable. break ups are already had on their own
