day five
The next day, the sun shined through the curtains and woke me up as it trickled on my skin. Once I opened my eyes however, the early sun stung in my eyes and forced me to close them again.
Eventually, my eyes got used to the sunlight and I could finally take hold of my surroundings. My cheek wasn't feeling the soft material of my pillow, but something much warmer. As I breathed in, the familiar scent of warm and salty vanilla engulfed me like a whole blanket, the scent of my mate.
I snuggled in deeper into her chest, until my head was resting in the cleavage of her breasts. I had seemed to forget the fact that she sometimes sleeps basically naked.
I slowly reopened my eyes, and it really was true, my cheek was laying partly on her breast. I lifted my eyes to see if she was awake and could see me, but she was still sleeping soundly.
I hugged her even closer to me with my arms around her waist. My head covered her whole chest as I simply laid there.
Sirens weren't supposed to be big and bulky, they were supposed to be delicate creatures, or at least made to look like it so men would be attracted to them.
It was only natural for her kind to be what we would consider small and petite, but for my kind it would be considered normal to be at least over 1,80 centimeters tall, even a lot of the females were.
But even if she wasn't tall or naturally built bigger, which was considered a beauty standard for our kind, she was perfect to the very fullest.
If you asked me, her small size made her even more attractive.
With that being cleared, I sighed heavenly as I enjoyed the presence and the touch of my mate. Merely a week ago, I would stay up late at night and stare back at the empty space beside me, and dream of finally waking up next to my mate.
Now there I was, and the dream was finally reality.
Unfortunately, it only lasted so long until someone tried to force their way into my mind. I groaned, already annoyed, but nevertheless let them in since it could be something important.
Of course, it was the complete opposite, it was only my idiot brother who kept bugging me to come down and let him in.
I told him no, more than once, but he just wouldn't budge, and I didn't want to risk him storming in here just because I wouldn't let him in and then wake Serenity up in the process. Not to mention the worst case scenario; he would storm in here and see my mate naked.
So I slowly sat up while making sure to be as careful as possible, just to not wake her up, and grabbed a shirt from the closet before I walked downstairs and got it over with.
As I opened the front doors, the sight of my little brother met me in an instant.
A rather unpleasant sight if you'd ask me
"I caught you wanking or something?" he said as he rolled his eye, "Is that why it took you so long?"
He pushed himself through the crack between the door and me, and walked inside without a single trouble in his mind.
"What do you want?" I sighed as I closed the door after him
"What? I don't get to visit my dear brother when I've missed him?" he challenged as he crossed his arms
It was now my turn to roll my eyes— "No, and you better have a good excuse for disturbing our morning"
He began to smirk— "Our morning? I see you're settling in well with your little siren"
I clenched my jaws as I stared at him without answering.
"Where is she, by the way?" he questioned as he turned around and started to walk towards the kitchen
I, of course, followed just to make sure he didn't break anything or decided to look for the person in question.
"Sleeping, like I would've been if it wasn't for you" I growled
He was really starting to get on my nerves and he had only been here for two minutes.
He chuckled— "Too bad, because you've been hiding away in this house for days now and no one's really seen even as much as a glimpse of you"
"And?" I asked as I narrowed my eyes
"And I recall you barely ever leaving your office and always tending to the pack, and now... you're basically a missing person"
I pinched the bridge of my nose, "What's your point?"
"My point is; people are starting to get worried for their Alpha, and they deserve to know why you're gone most of the time. They deserve to know their Luna"
It was weird for me to see him this serious, since he was known for always acting like a grown child. But I was also aware of the point he was making.
Every pack needed their Luna, and it was only fair for them and Serenity to get to know each other, since both were destined for each other.
"I know" I mumbled as I leaned my back against the counter
He let out a giant, dramatic sigh and then turned to the fridge.
"Well, for more important things; you got something to eat?"
I glared at his annoying, snooping form— "No, I plan on starving myself and Serenity out"
He snorted as he hid his head inside the fridge, but soon I heard him collecting a bunch of stuff in his arms from the fridge.
As he closed the door to the fridge with his foot, since his arms were quite busy, he soon plopped everything down onto the kitchen island.
He had grabbed ham, butter, cheese and a bunch of other things that he was planning on eating, without my permission may I add.
"You should go grocery shopping, it's not a lot left in there" he mumbled as he picked out some bread from the cabinet
I kept glaring at him— "And you think roaming through my fridge is going to help with that?"
"Someone's got to eat up the food before it expires" he chuckled
He stuffed some ham in his mouth as he buttered a piece of bread, but as he did so, I soon felt my heart speeding up and a heavenly scent reached the kitchen.
I knew what it meant the moment I smelt it, but still I didn't get enough time to react. Not before she walked in.
In nothing but black panties...
My eyes widened as panic rushed through my veins, but she didn't even seem to take notice of Leo, for she kept rubbing the tiredness out of her eyes.
I looked to my brother, and saw that his eyes were almost popping out of his head as he stared at Serenity. I began to growl more furiously for each passing second, until I barked at him in warning, which seemed to snap him out of it.
A redness tinged his cheeks as he looked away while covering his eyes.
He was fucking blushing by the sight of my nearly naked mate
To say I was angry was a complete understatement, I was shamelessly fuming inside. I rushed towards Serenity and covered her small body by simply standing in front of her.
I grabbed her by her arms and pushed forwards until we were walking away from the kitchen, with me still shielding her. She was beaming up at me the entire walk up back to our bedroom, but even that couldn't put my anger at ease.
Once inside, I let go of her and glared down at her stunning yet puffy face. She must have left the bed the second she woke up.
"What the hell were you thinking?!" I had to hold myself from raising my voice at her, which made her beaming face slowly morph into a frown
"You're angry?" she asked, and no matter how much I hated that concerned look on her face, I was still pretty fucking pissed
"Of course I'm angry!" I snapped as I made a gesture with my arm
I could visibly see her sink into herself— "Are you angry at me..?"
I couldn't help but scoff at her oblivion, even though I deep down knew that the way I was acting towards her was unfair.
"What did I do?" her innocent blue eyes stared right into mine, and that was enough for me to snap out of my cloud of anger and finally begin to calm down
I sighed as I dragged my hands through my thick, black hair.
"It wasn't your fault... I'm sorry" I said more calmly as I went and sat down on the edge of the bed
She soon followed and sat down right next to me. I could feel her soft eyes staring at the side of my face as I kept my hard gaze at the floor. The shame I felt kept me from daring to meet her worried gaze, and I honestly couldn't trust myself with keeping my eyes from roaming her tempting, bare body if I did.
"Talk to me" she begged me
When I didn't answer her, she let her hand dig into my hair at the back of my neck, and there she gently scratched her fingernails against my scalp. I leaned into her touch and couldn't help but let my limbs relax by the softness of her actions.
But the second I even tried to think of an explanation to give her, I remembered the incident and unfortunately my possessiveness took over.
I grabbed her wrist in my hand and pulled it out of my hair. The hold on her wrist was never meant to hurt her, but harsh enough to make her understand the seriousness of the situation. In one quick motion, I pushed her down onto the mattress so she was laying on her back, and I was hovering over her with my knees on either side of her hips. With both of her wrists in my hand, I held them above her head so that she couldn't move them.
"I do not like the idea of you parading around in nothing but your panties when my brother is here, alright?" I snarled as I got so close to her face that the tip of my nose brushed against hers
She stared right into my eyes in shock, but soon her eyes turned darker until she was glaring at me.
"I didn't even know your brother was here!" she bit back, but I wasn't having it
My hand reached for her jaw where I gripped it tightly, which in return made her shut her mouth.
"It doesn't matter. From now on, I don't want you leaving this room... unless you have clothes on" I ordered her as I gave her jaw a final squeeze
I walked off of her until I was sitting at the edge of the bed again, with my back towards her.
"Now can you please put some clothes on?" I more like ordered her as I fixed my shirt
I heard her huff in annoyance, but nevertheless did as I told her. She jumped off the bed, but as she was about to walk off towards the closet, her round and luscious ass caught my eye.
She was wearing a cotton black thong, and neither my wolf or myself could hold back. My hand reached out to gently slap one of her ass cheeks, which made a satisfied smirk reach my lips as my eyes glistened in mischief.
She flinched a little in surprise, but as she looked back around I thought she would scold me for my action, but instead she smiled at me and shook her head at my childishness.
She walked over to the closet and as she did, I shamelessly stared at her ass the whole way there. My wolf was purring in delight and maybe even a little arousal, and kept bugging me to mate her already.
But I managed to convince both of us to settle for staring at her ass instead like a horny little teenager.
For now at least
