Lin Ye released the tape recorder. He sits on his sofa, staring blankly at the ceiling.
This recording was made by Kal'tsit. He didn't go back to his dormitory after he acquired it since he didn't want to disturb Ansel's sleep. He was in desperate need of rest. Instead, he proceeded to his office. He listened to the audio at the workplace five or six times over and over again. He was about to memorize everything of Skadi and Kal'tsit's brief chats that night.
The first part of the recording was completely normal. It's simply that Kal'tsit inquired about the situation there, to which Skadi responded. Skadi was typical at the time, and the manner he responded was also very Skadi-like. That is, she would respond with two or less words. Lin Ye deduced from these brief chats that Skadi had not discovered anything at the time. The second half, on the other hand, was rather different. A familiar feminine voice called out from the entrance, "Doctor Lin Ye?"

"Will you then remain here again tonight? ", and Lin Ye had no intention of spending another night in the workplace. The sofa and the bed remain diametrically opposed. There is no heating in his workplace. It's really not a pleasant place to sleep in the cold. But he doesn't have time to consider what is pleasant or unpleasant right now. He believes that after listening to this audio, he will be unable to fall asleep.
Well... Wait. According to Orchid's comment, Lin Ye suddenly realized that Blue Poison appeared to be a specialist in this field, so why not ask her? Lin Ye tells Blue Poison, "I won't go back tonight," once he has made up his mind.
"Is that correct? If that's the case, I'd like to ask you a question."

"Doctor Lin Ye, this is my new cake," Blue Poison says as she places the box on the table and looks at Lin Ye, "I'd like to invite you to eat it."
"Oh, really? Oh, really nice. It came at the perfect time. I haven't had time to prepare a meal yet. Thank you very much."
"Y-You're welcome," Blue Poison says, blushing at his gratitude. Lin Ye, on the other hand, did not notice since he was still deep in meditation.
Despite what he stated, Lin Ye was hesitant to eat any more cakes today. After all, he had a long day and was exhausted. In the afternoon, he ate blue poison cakes to serve as a foundation. Then he met with Kal'tsit and pretended to be the Doctor. Then he found that Skadi had gone away. There isn't enough time to eat. Despite the fact that Blue Poison had just handed him a slice of cake, he is a little full. It's also not a good idea to eat late at night.
Lin Ye couldn't deny it after Blue Poison had already presented it to him. He opened the box with Blue Poison's eager look and took a huge chunk.

After some hesitation, Blue Poison bites down on his fork and lowers her head. Lin Ye was oblivious to the fact that she was blushing as a result of this.
"I-It is," Blue Poison quickly regains his composure and asks, "So, which flavour do you think is better?"
"Black pepper," He says with a sly grin.
Blue Poison looks at him, puzzled, and says, "Huh?"
"I was joking," Lin Ye grinned "I don't dislike blueberries, but they should be used in moderation. Of course, if you put too much in, it will be overly sweet."
"I understand," She says with a nod.
The cake tastes really good, the kind that makes you feel good after you eat it. Lin Ye had no idea how she did it. The cake's colour appeared to be unusual, with hints of blue and green. If this is in the hands of ordinary people, others will probably find it strange. However, if it comes from the hands of Blue Poison, it is difficult to say that it is not poisonous.
As a result, Blue Poison has been harmed by rumours, but it is not her fault. It's only for other people's reasons. It's just that these aren't the words Lin Ye can say right now. It's best to wait until he and Blue Poison learn more about each other. Then he can assist her because Blue Poison currently requires only encouragement and approval. So, Lin Ye will give her these two.
Lin Ye puts down the plastic fork after a few more bites of cake, his stomach feeling a little full. "Blue Poison, may I ask you a question?" he asks, looking up at Blue Poison.
"Hmm? Yes," Blue Poison nods.
"Are you an Abyssal Hunter as well?"
Blue Poison looks perplexed, "Why are you asking me that?"
"Is it something delicate?"
"Of course not," Blue Poison says, shaking her head.
"I hear other people say you're like Skadi, with experience fighting large creatures... Well. That appears to be a rumour as well. I just wanted to make sure for myself. Rumours irritate me "Lin Ye's words effectively silenced her.
After a while, she says softly, "That's not a rumour, I did have a fight with those guys."
"What are those large creatures?"
"Yeah," Blue Poison says, a little perplexed. "Don't you know?"
"I had no idea."
"You don't know why you're asking me these questions?"
"As I previously stated, I just wanted to confirm it for myself and Uhh...," Lin Ye hesitated for a moment before telling Blue Poison the truth, " And because of Skadi. Something terrible happened to her."
Then he pulls out the tape recorder and plays it.
Blue Poison's expression gradually changed from scepticism to surprise.
Lin Ye was stunned for a few seconds after she finished playing the recording. "There is such a thing," She muttered, "No wonder Doctor Kal'tsit wants to transfer me back at this time."
"Then what is your opinion of this situation?" Lin Ye asks quickly, "I want to hear your opinion based on your experience."
Blue Poison looks at Lin Ye and pauses for a moment. Then she softly says, "Doctor Lin Ye, I apologize if my response disappoints you. Because, in my opinion, the thing that can make Miss Skadi vanish is not something I can comprehend, let alone explain."
