Klaus, Stefan and I were sitting in the open space of a clothing store, drinking champagne while we waited for Rebekah, who was in the changing room, trying out her hundredth whatever dress. I lost count after the twentieth one!

"There has to be more to this dress," Rebekah called out from the dressing rooms at which Klaus rolled his eyes

"There's not," Klaus replied with boredom.

"Well, I think it looks great on you." I complimented.

Rebekah walked out of the dressing room wearing a short black dress.
"So women in the 21st-century dress like prostitutes, then. You know, I got dirty looks for wearing trousers." She said.

"You wore trousers so women today could wear nothing," Klaus noted.

I sighed at their bickering, zoning out. I had so much on my mind since yesterday night. After Gloria had dropped the 'not your father' bomb on me last night, it had made me question my entire life. For a moment, I thought she was playing me, but then why would she? She was a powerful witch and her eyes confirmed the truth. I was conflicted on whether to call Katherine or not, afraid of how she would react.

Even if there was some truth to it and even if Katherine and I didn't share the same father, he would always remain mine till the end. If he knew that I was not his child, he never treated me like that. He always loved me and, he even used to tease Katherine that I was his favourite. The only question was...who was my real father? And what was he, if not a human?

"All right. I'm going to get some air." I heard Stefan say. I snapped up my head to see him standing up to leave. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone very familiar standing across the street. She motioned Stefan to follow her as I sprang up from my seat.

"You know what? I'm coming too." I quickly downed my champagne and grabbed Stefan's arm, starting to walk towards the exit.

"Alright, just don't start making out," Klaus commented from beside me and I held up my middle finger in response, at which Klaus just chuckled.

We then left the store and followed Katherine who stood behind an alley.
She smirked when she saw us. "You two look chummy...or should I say, as thick as thieves," Katherine commented, looking at our adjoining arms.

"Don't start, please," I replied tiredly as we stood close to her and I removed my arm from Stefan's.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He asked her roughly and she shrugged. "You know, if he finds out you're in Chicago, you're dead."

"Happy to know that you still care," Katherine noted at which Stefan scoffed. "So tell me if I'm wrong... Rebekah's necklace that Klaus is looking for... That's the necklace that you gave to Elena." Katherine told Stefan and I snapped my head towards him.

"Goodbye, Katherine." He said and grabbed my hand to leave when Katherine stopped us.

"Hey, hey. Wait. You're up to something, tell me.." She asked him desperately and he sighed.

"They don't know where the necklace is. I just have to keep them from figuring it out. I have it all under control." He explained.

"Please, tell me you have a better plan than that," I told Stefan.

He remained silent at my question at which Katherine narrowed her eyes. "You do," Katherine stated. "Come on, Stefan. You're not the diabolical type. Whatever you're planning, it's not going to work." Katherine warned.

Stefan crossed his arms. "Well, if the most diabolical woman I know can't seem to figure it out, then I must be doing something right." He gave her a fake smile.

"Uh-huh. I forgot. You're bad now." She looked at him. "Don't get too cocky. Klaus is smarter than you. He's smarter than everyone." She alerted him and he started to leave when Katherine spoke again. "And I've heard about that sister. Be careful. She'll ruin you." She said.

"Happy to know you still care," Stefan replied and glanced at me to follow him but I didn't.

"You go ahead. I need to talk to my sister." I said and Stefan opened his mouth to intrude but I stopped him. "Hey, it's okay. I'll meet you at Gloria's." I assured him and he nodded, disappearing out of our sight.

"You too seem close," Katherine commented and I crossed my arms.

"We are," I replied and she raised her eyebrow. "I wanted to talk to you about something," I said.

"Fire away, little sister," Katherine said as she leaned against the wall.

I sighed and moved closer to her. "I heard something...about our family...about me," I admitted and she furrowed her eyebrows.

I sighed. "Look, Gloria thinks that we don't share the same father. She thinks mommy dearest had an affair." I said and she just gulped. She didn't seem surprised at all. "But you knew that already, didn't you?" I asked her, clenching my jaw.

She just stared at me before giving in. "Yes, I did." She admitted, looking at the ground and I just glared at her.

"How long?"

"Rosa-" Katherine started but I cut her off.

"Don't Rosa me, how long, Katherine?" I asked again.

She looked shamefully at the ground. "Before I was banished to England.." She started and I chuckled sarcastically. "I heard them...talking about you. Father was confronting our mother about all this. She had been with another man and she got pregnant...with you." She explained.

"You...knew..this...in 1492! When were you going to tell me? When I was on my deathbed?!" I yelled at her and she just looked at the ground in shame. "I can't believe that all my life has been a lie," I whispered and she grabbed my shoulders gently.

"Hey...I didn't tell you because my father didn't want you to know. He loved you, Rosa, even though he knew you weren't his blood." She said as my eyes began to water. "You were right about one thing." She chuckled softly. "You were always his favourite. His very own luna." She finished and I hugged her tightly, letting the tears stain the top she was wearing.

I let go of her and wiped my tears away. "Do you know who was father was?" I asked her and she shook her head.

"But, I do have something of his side of the family. A talisman." She said and took out a pendant from her bag, holding it out to me. "Mother showed it to me once. When I returned to Bulgaria and found them dead, I took it, along with some other things." She explained as I took the pendant from her hand. It was an antique silver-plated pendant with a design representing the fifth spiritual element, spirit. "I think you should go now. Klaus might get suspicious." I nodded at her and quickly hugged her before speeding off with the necklace in my hand.

  ━━━✿━━━ ● ✿ ● ━━━✿━━━

We were now at the warehouse getting some blood as Gloria failed to get the location of the necklace. She didn't fail exactly since managed to see Elena in her vision but Klaus didn't know that. Stefan hurried us all of the bar saying that he was hungry so that Gloria wouldn't dive deeper into the vision that she saw.

Klaus sat on a couch, drinking from a girl while Stefan did the likewise on a chair and Rebekah sat atop a nearby crate. Meanwhile, I was drinking blood from a glass. I might have killed people in these past months and I wasn't opposed to the idea of drinking human blood unless I killed the person, but I refused to kill someone innocent merely because I was hungry.

Stefan dropped his girl on the ground, who was now dead and got up to leave.
"I need to go." He stated and walked away. This time I didn't follow him. If I did, Klaus would've gotten more suspicious than he was before.

"Where's he going?" Rebekah asked.

"To write a name on a wall. It's a long story." Klaus replied and dropped the dead girl on the ground. He then turned to me and I felt nervous in his gaze. Please don't ask me where I was this morning. "Where were you this morning, Rose?" Klaus asked with a smirk.

I looked him in the eye confidently. "If you're concerned that I would run away, rest assured because believe me, I would have...a long time ago." I told him, dragging out the word 'long'.

"I was just curious. You did come back after a very long time." He inquired.
"What skeletons are you hiding in your closet?" Klaus asked darkly but playfully.

"I store clothes.. not my family members in boxes. So why don't you ask that to yourself?" I retorted and he shrugged his shoulders while Rebekah chuckled lightly. "Plus, to answer your question, I found some puppies on the roadside, so I stayed to play with them," I said and Klaus looked at me weirdly.
"What? Don't look at me like that! Animals are adorable. And I got kind of bored looking at a thousand-year-old antique every day." I retorted and Rebekah laughed loudly.

"You're so weird. I love you!" She yelled at me.

"I take that as a compliment! I love you too!" I yelled back.

Klaus leaned in a little closer to me, "What happened to the girl who thought I was cute?" Klaus asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

I held my hands up. "Oh! I still think you're cute...you know, like an adorable puppy.." I started and started closing in the distance between us. "Who barks at everyone and everything and whines every time he doesn't get something, whose world just revolves around himself." I finished and for a second there, he lost his smirk but regained it quickly.

He came close to me until we were just inches apart and whispered into my ear. "You do realize that I'm a thousand-year-old antique who could rip your heart out this second?" He asked me darkly.

"Yes...but you won't," I whispered in his ear and he looked at me, tilting his head.

"And why is that?" He challenged.

"Because.." I poked at his chest. "You love me," I said playfully and he made a face.

"No, I don't." He responded, crossing his arms.

"Yes, you do," I said.

"No, I don't."

"Yes, you do," I replied again and got up from my seat while looking at him. "Admit it, Klaus, You love me. I'm the one who's got you concerned when I go out of your sight. You think about me day and night, and want to keep me safe..like the adorable father you are." I made my point and he laughed loudly. That was the most genuine laugh I had heard from him till now.

"In your dreams, love." He winked at me as I left the warehouse to get some fresh air.

I sped off to Gloria's bar because I suspected that Stefan would've gone there to ask her about the necklace. He had left a long time ago and hadn't returned yet so something must have gone off. I went inside the bar to see Stefan...with Katherine. What was she doing here? The whole place was a mess like someone had performed an exorcism in there.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked and they both turned around to see me, revealing someone wrapped up in a white blanket. "Who's that?" I asked, taking a step forward.

"Rose.." Stefan began and looked at Katherine.

"Gloria was torturing Stefan for information so I killed her," Katherine replied casually.

"You killed her?!" I yelled at her. "You knew I needed her!"

"I'm sorry, but she was going to blow this up for us." She said and I sighed in frustration, Gloria was the only one who could tell me about my past and know she was dead. Great!

"We need to take care of her body," Stefan spoke seriously.

"I'll do it. You should go. Klaus is getting more suspicious." I stated and furrowed his eyebrows.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes. Now go." I told him and he sped off after exchanging a look with Katherine. I turned towards Katherine. "You too. Klaus can't know you're here."

She nodded at me and I went ahead to pick up Gloria's body. "Rose?" Katherine called.

"Yeah?" I asked, turning to look at her.

"I wanted to help you..and also make up for not telling you about your father." She spoke, moving closer to me. "There's an old friend of mine who believes that someone from your father's bloodline is still alive. I've asked him to find that person and inform me." She took my hand in hers. "I'll call you when he finds that person." She finished and I gave her a small smile.

"Thank you, Rina," I mumbled.

She smiled softly, letting go of my hand. "Goodbye, Rosa."

"Goodbye, sister," I whispered and she sped off, glancing at me one last time.

  ━━━✿━━━ ● ✿ ● ━━━✿━━━

After I was left alone in the bar, I cleared out the bar and took care of Gloria's body. Once I was done, I went back to the warehouse.

"She's wrong, Klaus." I heard Stefan say desperately.

The next thing I heard was the sound of someone's neck-breaking. I sped into the room to see Stefan's body drop to the ground as both Rebekah and Klaus looked at me, the latter's face showing no emotion.

"What are you doing?" I asked him in a low voice.

"Where were you?" Klaus asked slowly, ignoring my question. At that moment, he looked at me like I was his prey and I knew something was wrong. Before I could answer, I felt a sharp pain in my neck before darkness took over me.

I woke up to the voices of Stefan and Klaus talking. I was leaning against something or someone. I opened my eyes to see that I was leaning against Stefan, who looked at me with panic. We were in the back of a truck surrounded by Klaus's coffins.

"Where are we?" I asked them, rubbing my neck.

"See for yourself, love," Klaus replied and I looked at the door of the truck to find it open. my eyes widened when I took in where I was. Mystic Falls. We were back in Mystic Falls, where Elena was, alive. And Klaus didn't know that. This was not good, not good at all!

"Welcome back to Mystic Falls, Rose." Klaus remarked as Stefan and I exchanged a look with each other that said, 'What do we do now?'
