Giggles and laughter filled our space here in the ocean. As we let our bodies feel the coldness of the sea and the warmth of the breeze which contradicts each other, we were out of our own world.

We're playing splashing of waters, racing, diving, and more games we can think of.

Calli and Refix are laughing in front of us, enjoying each other's company. While I was seated in the sand together with Aydan. What Calli said a while ago bothered me. She's right, I think this joke of mine is not good.

He's here, beside me but his eyes are looking far away in front of us. His mind is flying its way up to the moon, never minding me.

"Aydan." I called out but he didn't waver.

Umusog ako palapit sa kanya at kinulbit siya. Still, there's no response.

"Hey, Aydan. Pansinin mo naman ako." He's still lost in his own thoughts. "Aydan, I'm sorry. Bati na tayo 'no?"

Wala pa rin siyang sagot at hindi man lang gumagalaw.

"Aydan, what's wrong? Na heat stroke ka ba? Ayos ka lang?" Naiiyak na tanong ko sa kanya. But still, walang response.

It seems like he's back in reality

"Hon." He whispered. My tears streamed down my face as relief enveloped my heart. "Anyare? Bakit ka umiiyak?"

"Akala k-ko kasi na h-heat stroke ka na." Umiiyak na sabi ko.

"What?! Bat naman ako mahe-heat stroke?" He asked with a knitted eyebrows.

"K-kasi hindi ka gumagalaw eh! Tapos hindi ka pa kumukurap! Hindi mo ako pinapansin!" Nakasalubong ang dalawa kong kilay dahil sa inis.

"Hon, I was just in my own thoughts. Hindi ako na-heat stroke at hindi ko naman sinasadya na hindi ka mapansin." He said softly.

He leaned closer to me and tucked my loose hair in the back of my ear. A small smile appeared on his lips.

"I'm sorry, hon. I love you." He kissed my forehead and hugged me.

"I am sorry, Aydan. Sorry kung hindi kita pinapansin." Mahinang sabi ko sa kanya.

"I understand, hon. Naiintindihan ko." He whispered as he kissed my head repeatedly.

I hugged him back tightly and felt his warmth. How I missed this warmth. I will never let this kind of thing happen  between us. Hindi na ako mag-iinarte ulit.

"I'm really sorry." I whispered as I let myself drown with his hug.

"Nikita! Aydan! Dito dali, laro tayo!" We separated when Calli called us.

"Let's go." I said and smiled at him.

We approached them while holding each other's hand. I hold his hand tightly na para bang ayaw kong mawala siya.

"Anong laro ba ang lalaruin natin?" I asked curiously.

"Tagu-taguan!" Nakangiting sabi ni Calli.

"Tagu-taguan? Sa beach?" Nagtataka kong tugon sa kanya.

"Yes! Pero may twist. Pero tayong gumamit ng ninjutsu sa pagtatago." Masaya niyang pahayag.

I looked at Refix and he just shrugged his shoulders and the same goes to Aydan. I have no choice but to agree.
