I smiled at Malique and he gave me a hug. I hesitantly hugged him back. Feeling his hands roam over my butt I pulled away.
"Can you not?" I asked still having a smile.
"Uh sure, sorry didn't know it would be a problem." He chuckled.
"No it's not a problem just don't do it in front of everybody." I said and he nodded.
"I missed you." He said.
I literally felt so bad, I forgot all about him.
"I missed you too." I smiled and he kissed my cheek. When he walked away I threw my head back. Laughter started to build up from some members of my family.
I walked over to my Aunt Jue and she smiled nervously.
"Did you invite him?" I asked.
"You know his mother and your mother are good friends. Plus I thought y'all still dated-"
"Shhh!" I grabbed her arm pulling her outside.
"Aunty you don't understand, me and Kentrell........-"
"Are dating?"
"No, I mean I don't know. I was just finna talk to him about that. We both like each other though. And if he sees Malique this will all turn into a big problem." I sighed.
"Why? Didn't you tell him about- Javen."
"No I didn't, I told him I've never been in a relationship." I said and Avianna came out the house.
"That's why you should always tell the truth boo." I rolled my eyes.
"Why would you lie about Malique? Y'all were still dating when you left right?" Aunt Jue asked and I nodded.
"I didn't tell him because I real life never thought I would see Malique again. Plus we slowly started to stop talking until eventually we completely stopped. I just forgot about him ok. But I didn't think he would still think we were together." I said.
"Look Javen I understand all that but why wouldn't you at least tell him something about my Malique. Like what you just told us why you couldn't tell him?" Avianna asked.
"I wasn't thinking ok. But please don't say anything." I said.
"You don't have to worry about us saying anything, he'll find out eventually." Aunt Jue laughed.
"Right, then you gon have to deal with that." Avianna said and I rolled my eyes.
"Shut up." I mumbled and we went back in the house. My heart dropped seeing Kentrell and Malique interacting with each other.
