I decide to wear black makeup for today's fighting, I do the usual hair half up half down but without braids. I hid my necklace under my clothes around my neck before leaving to go to the pit.

Im sitting down waiting for my turn to fight. I studied Ethan and Allison as they began to charge at each other. Someone sits beside me making me turn their way, I saw Madi sitting to my right already looking at me. I turned my attention back to Ethan and Allison, starting to remember the last thing I had told her, I felt bad about it. I looked up checking to make sure Octavia wasn't staring.

I turn back to the blue-eyed girl who was focused on Allison, which made me a bit jealous not gonna lie so I quietly spoke up "I'm sorry, " I murmured. Madi turned her head slightly "What?" She asked, "I said I'm sorry." I said more clearly, "I'm sorry for being a bitch and for saying we're not friends, it's just...", "Octavia." Madi finished.

I nod, looking down but then looking up at Octavia. "She said we couldn't be friends, but I don't get it. She seems to like you more than me but I can't hang out with you it's...weird, outrageous even."

"Oh yeah, I don't think she likes me more than you I mean your cool, gorgeous and you can fight well, so who wouldn't like you." Madi complements. I look down to hide my that I started blushing, "Thank you, but everyone here seems to disagree. Especially Octavia since you showed up, I guess it's because you more beautiful than me and you're a total badass is the reason why everyone wants to protect you so much.", "But let's not talk about that right now. I'm gonna go up and if Octavia calls on you, don't worry I'll go easy on you." I reassured her getting prepared to get up.

Madi smiled at me with a small nod, being less scared.

"Ellie, your next," Gaia said, motioning to Ethan.

"No, madi, you're up, fight," Octavia interrupted. I glanced up at her, she nodded with a light smile. I did the same.

"Blodriena she's not ready," Gaia warned. Octavia ignored her, motioning the battle to continue.

Madi stood anxiously but still in relief, as I looked up at Octavia before getting in position.

"Be the last." Gaia spoke. I wasted no time and lunged at her, bringing my sword out but slightly. She blocked me, and I backed up. She charged towards me slightly and I let her but not too much to knock me down. We continued as I let her get some hits, I looked back up at Octavia who looked confused and disappointed, that's where it started to mess me up. I saw the anger in her eyes when she found out I was going easy on Madi, I began to think of what Octavia would do when we finished. I began to worry, the thought of losing her, her getting rid of me, I couldn't have that not even if it means I have to beat Madi. No matter what Madi did, if she lost or won Octavia would still like her.
