Lying down on the seafloor

So far away from the shore

Immersed in the wide seascape

Where I chose to escape

While I'm drowning in my fate

Above me as I contemplate

~¤~

There's so much energy in the ocean

Making me wish to be a siren

~¤~

To freely swim amongst the wales

Sometimes breaking through the waves

~¤~

Going with the flow of currents

Carrying me away from continents

~¤~

To play with the carefree dolphin

Looking out for the shark's fin

~¤~

Then going on a hunting conquest

To retrieve some hidden treasure chest

Deeply buried in the sand

On a little unknown island

~¤~

What a wondrous life to explore

But I don't have time anymore

~¤~

As in the hourglass the last grain falls

Slowly I close my eyes with farewells

To the cruel reality of this world

That will no longer have any of me to hold
