Selena's heart sank as she walked into the living room and saw Eugenia packing her things with a look of distress on her face. Selena couldn't help but stare, wondering what was going on.

"What are you doing?!" Selena yelled, her voice cracking with emotion.

"I can't do this anymore," Eugenia replied, avoiding Selena's gaze.

"Why are you leaving me like this?" She yelled again, desperate for an answer.

"I need to protect myself," Eugenia said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"So, you're just giving up on us?" She asked, her voice trembling.

"I'm sorry, Selena. It's over," Eugenia said, finally meeting Selena's eyes.

"You can't just give up like this! We can work through this together!" She yelled.

"I'm sorry, Selena. I can't stay," Eugenia said, before turning and walking away.

Selena watched her go, feeling a sense of desperation creeping in. But then something unexpected happened.

Eugenia turned around and pulled Selena into a deep kiss, leading her to the bedroom. As they tumbled onto the bed, Selena felt a rush of anger and passion.

She straddled Eugenia's waist, kissing her roughly and letting all her pent-up frustration out. Afterwards, as Eugenia got dressed and prepared to leave, Selena couldn't believe it.

"You're still leaving?!" She yelled, feeling a sense of desperation creeping in.

"I have to go, Selena. It's for the best," Eugenia said, before walking away for good.

Eugenia slammed the door shut and let out a long sigh, leaning her head against it. Despite her apprehension about leaving Selena, knew there was no turning back and her suitcase in tow, got into her car and drove away.

Selena felt a deep sense of emptiness and regret. Justin's proposal had caused her to lose Eugenia's love, leaving her alone and crying herself to sleep.
