-Four months later.-

Selena heard noises from the hallway. She groaned as the footsteps approached her bedroom.

"Wake up! You're going to be late!" Courtney yelled.

Selena kept her eyes closed and didn't respond when Raquelle and Courtney tried to wake her up. She had no energy for anything.

She had cancelled several appearances, except for the ones she couldn't get out of. Only her record label knew about her breakup.

"Leave me alone," She said, annoyed.

"You need to get out of bed," Raquelle said, pulling the covers off her body.

"I'm never leaving this room," Selena sighed.

"Please, you need to be productive," Raquelle insisted.

"No. I just got dumped!" Selena yelled, rubbing her eyes and remembering that they didn't know the full story.

"Wait, what happened?" Courtney asked.

"Um, Justin proposed to me during Taylor's wedding. She was packing her stuff up, but left after we slept together," Selena explained.

"I don't think she would do that," Raquelle said.

"Whose side are you on?" Selena questioned, rolling her eyes.

"I'm on your side, but I'm also trying to see both perspectives," Raquelle replied.

"I get that, but she still broke my heart. I can't believe she would leave me," Selena said.

"Did you really think you two would last forever?" Courtney asked.

"I wanted to make things last with her," Selena replied.

"Well, I don't know what to tell you then," Courtney said.

"I'm going out tonight," Selena declared, standing up from the bed.

"All by yourself?" Courtney asked, smiling.

"With some friends," Selena answered, pulling out her phone to text a few friends.

"You have an interview to do," Raquelle reminded her.

"I'll do it when I get back," Selena replied, leaving the room.

"Be careful," Raquelle called out.

"Thank you, Mom," Selena teased, making them laugh in return.

Selena strolled into the restaurant, the very place where she had shared her first date with Eugenia. Memories flooded her mind as she reminisced about that special evening.

But as she walked out, she couldn't help but roll her eyes at the paparazzi cameras flashing around her. Ignoring the chaos, she gracefully slipped into the waiting car.

Arriving home, Selena plopped down on the couch, feeling a little tipsy from the night's festivities. Just as she was about to relax, her phone buzzed, interrupting her moment of peace.

She groaned and answered it. Her voice was still a bit groggy.

"Hello?" She mumbled.

"Where the heck are you right now, Selena?" Her publicist, Ethan, demanded.

"In my apartment, why?" She replied, holding her head and moaning softly.

"You're late for an interview," He explained.

"I'll be right there," She promised.

"I'll see you in a bit," He hung up.

After quickly showering, Selena made her way to the station for the interview. Once it was done, headed to her mom's house and stepped out of the car.

She knocked on the door, eagerly awaiting her mother's warm embrace. Mandy opened the door.

They shared a heartfelt hug before pulling away. A smile spread across her mom's face.

"Hey sweetie," She greeted.

"Hi mom, how is everyone doing?" Selena asked, stepping inside the house.

"Everyone is doing well," Her mom replied, closing the door behind them.

"That's good to hear," Selena said, genuinely relieved.

As they settled in, her mom couldn't help but ask about her relationship with Eugenia, a smile playing on her lips. She sighed softly.

"I really don't know how she's doing," Selena admitted, a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

"What do you mean?" Mandy asked, her face showing confusion.

"We broke up, Eugenia and I," She replied, trying to hold back her tears at the mention of her name.

"When did this happen?" Mandy asked her daughter.

"It was during Taylor's wedding, and she ended things with me," She said, her voice breaking.

"I'm really sorry, but you'll find someone new, sweetie. I know you will," Mandy said, hugging her tightly.

"I don't want anyone else but her," She said, hugging her back, trying to hold back her tears.

"You need some time for yourself," Mandy said, rubbing her back.

"I can't live without her, Mom. I need her in my life," she admitted, starting to cry into her shoulder.

"You need time to heal," Mandy said, kissing her forehead.

"I needed to hear this," Selena said, pulling away and wiping her tears away.

"I'm glad you're feeling better," Mandy said, smiling.

"Thank you so much," She replied.

"You're welcome," Mandy said.

"I should get going," She said.

"Be safe. I love you so much," Mandy replied.

"I will. I love you too, Mom," She walked out, going to her apartment.

She sat down on the couch and pulled out a notebook. Selena started writing down her feelings.

She filled a page, which ended up being eight or nine pages. She put the notebook down hearing a noise and looked at her cell phone

She saw a text on her home screen. Her eyes grew wide.

"I miss you so much.." It was a message from her.

"Fuck my life," She said.

She looked at the text, unsure of what to say or do at that moment. Her finger hovered over the message on her phone.

Eugenia had ended things between them. She wasn't sure if she could talk to her about it like nothing ever happened.

Like she didn't walk out when they got into a big fight, which had happened a few times before. But things never got that bad before.

She exhaled and inhaled. She didn't know if she was ready to hear her out yet and pressed the button.
