"Aheem!" My eyes widened when I saw Mom and Dad on the door, about to witness a kissing scene like on dramas.
"Mom! Dad!" I exclaimed as I stood up from the ground at siya din ay nagulat kaya tumayo rin.

Tinanguan lang siya nila Mom at walang sinuman ang nagsalita pa. Tahimik lang kami and Mom is giving me a questioning look. The suffocating atmosphere ended when a maid entered the scene. Mayroon siyang dalang towels at binigyan kami ng tig-iisa. Agad ko namang pinunasan ang aking buhok para tumuyo ito at para na din hindi ako lagnatin.

"We have so many questions to ask you sweetie but we have no time for chit-chats," panimula ng aking ina. Napa-hinga naman ako sa sinabi niya. If they would interrogate me right here and right now, I surely will collapse.
"I'm taking your mother with me to attend some important matters to deal with in some countries," ani Dad na may gusto pa sanang idagdag patungkol sa nasaksikhan nila kanina ngunit inunahan ko na siya ng salita.
"Kung okay lang po sa inyo, pwede ba akong manatili muna sa condo ko? I mean, you're not with me here though. So can I?"
Meron akong condo somewhere in Manila na binigay ni Mom and Dad nung birthday ko last year but hindi ko naman siya palaging ginagamit kasi nga gusto ni Mom na dito lang ako sa bahay.
Both of them looked at each other with worried eyes then Dad sighed for a moment and spoke. "If that's what you wish for sweetie, then fine," he said being considerate as he always will at nasiyahan naman ako sa naging desisyon niya.
"But you'll be with Dawn. So please be safe and stay healthy while we're gone," pahabol pa ng ama kong akala ay bata pa ako para hindi maalagaan ang sarili.
Maybe Dawn will get involved if something unexpected happens to you, Van. Sumang-ayon nalang ako sa boses sa aking utak at nginitian ang mag-asawa.
"We'll get going now." Mom hugged me while saying those words.
"Bye sweetie, don't stress yourself from work." Dad kissed my forehead as well. I hugged the two of them as tight as I possibly could. I waved my hand and then the two of them left the room.
