"Do you think you're up for some exploring?" The singer's soft voice could be heard breaking through the peaceful silence that had settled over them. The pair once again found themselves cuddled up on the bed looking out the large window beside them. Taylor's small frame had to practically drag the model into the cabin they were sharing due to Karlie being worn out.
Since her crying session, Karlie had gone completely silent. Her only responses consisted of head shakes and nods. This is why Taylor was surprised when she heard Karlie's hoarse voice.
"I just wanna stay with you a little longer," The model spoke. Her voice was filled with sleep and dread.
"What do you mean, babe? I'll be with you the whole time," Taylor spoke in a gentle but curious way as she ran her hand through Karlie's hair.
"I just wanna be in your arms longer," The taller girl let out in a quiet tone as if she were afraid of admitting it. She nuzzled her face further into the singer's neck and tightened her hold around her to emphasize her point. Taylor's heart nearly burst due to so much emotion.
"Okay," The blonde said, giving in to Karlie's wants. How could she not give in when the model was literally telling her that she wanted to stay in her arms?

An hour later Taylor asked Karlie the same question and this time the model agreed to leave the cabin. The singer's security was called as the pair fixed their appearance not wanting to convey the wrong impression.
Taylor had applied light makeup except for her bright red lips. Karlie washed her face with cold water wanting to look like she hadn't been crying in the early hours of the day. The model had grown frustrated with her puffy eyes refusing to look normal that she almost decided to stay in. If it hadn't been for Taylor's reassuring hug and words of encouragement Karlie would still be in the cabin.
"Karls look at that," The singer said in amazement as she pointed to a thick tree that had been knocked down. The tree lay across an opening in the ground covered by grass and dirt except for a piece of a small tree on the ground.
"It's beautiful," The taller girl responded in the same tone as she approached the tree. She stood under it looking up at the details in the thick bark of the tree. Looking down she noticed carvings in the piece of tree under her. Initials covered the tree's bark with hearts around them, "So many people have been here," She spoke as she crouched down to run her hand over the carvings.
"There are so many stories in all of these carvings," Taylor let out quietly as she came to join the model. Her hand reached out to touch the carvings just as Karlie had done.
"I want to put our names here," The model spoke with a decided tone.
"Karls...we can't," Taylor let out in a sad tone. As much as she wanted to she couldn't do something normal like that.
"We can," The taller girl responded as she reached out to hold Taylor's hand. She squeezed it three times before speaking again, "I have an idea."
Picking up a sharp-edged rock, Karlie began to carve names into an open spot on the tree below them. She started out with carving a K and a T before adding lines around the letters. Taylor watched on with curiosity until the taller girl put the rock down to show off the finished product.
In prominent lines, you could see 'James + Betty' surrounded by a heart carved into the tree.
