The 15th of January was the day that Taylor opened her eyes. Everything that had happened in her relationship with Dianna had led her to this. There was nothing else she could do at this point. Her friends had always been open about what they thought about the relationship. Her family had always spoken about the relationship with her. She felt like a fool for not listening to what the closest people to her had to say.

She had always known that this decision was the right one. She had always known that her relationship would lead to this conclusion. She had always had her doubts, but she had never thought of them as anything more than just doubts. Everybody had doubts in their relationships, right? Everyone felt the need to take a step back sometimes, right? At least that's what Taylor thought.

She knew making this decision wouldn't be easy. She knew that this wouldn't be easy to do. She knew that giving back the ring that Dianna had given her wasn't going to be easy. She knew that she wouldn't be able to look at the actress when she told her that she didn't want this anymore.

She never thought that she would have turned against everyone in her life because of someone that asked her to. She never pictured her life turning out with a failed engagement. She knew her friends would always be supportive of her. She knew that her family would always welcome her back with open arms, but she couldn't help but feel ashamed.

Taylor didn't deserve the people that were in her life after she pushed them away. Anyone could see that she didn't deserve them. She didn't deserve anyone that was nice to her after what she did to them.

Taylor was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard the door to her home open. She took a deep breath and looked at herself in the mirror before she stepped through the doorway of her living room.

"Taylor, have you seen my..." Dianna started before stopping. She saw the singer holding a velvet box, the same one she used when she proposed to her several days ago.

"We need to talk," Taylor said turning on her heels and walking to the kitchen hoping that Dianna would follow her.

"What's this all about?" Dianna asked finding non-disclosure agreements on the island in the kitchen. They looked like the same ones that she refused signing when they first started dating.

"It's what we're going to talk about. Take a seat," The singer said motioning to an empty seat across from her. Dianna nervously made her way to the chair and sat down.

"I'm calling off our engagement," Taylor said before she could stop herself. She got straight to the point in hopes that it would make this go that much faster.

"Why?" Dianna said with a look of fear in her eyes. Taylor expected to see hurt, but all she saw was fear. It made her confused.

"I don't love you anymore, I'm not sure I ever really did. You control my life and I don't want that anymore. Not to mention that you're a cheater."

"Taylor, I haven't cheated on you since the time you caught me," Dianna was doing everything to make Taylor take back what she said and make her go back to how they were before she came home today. She couldn't lose the singer, she needed her for her career. She's a complete nobody without her.

"I guess you're a liar too. I saw you with her a few days ago when I went out with Sam. If you're going to cheat you should at least be a little sneakier about it."

Dianna's jaw had dropped. She was furiously trying to think of a response to what Taylor had said. As much as she thought about it, she couldn't come up with anything.

"Okay, so why wait until now to call off the engagement? Why not just call it off when you saw me cheating?"

"I thought we could make this work. Maybe we could've had an open relationship, but then I realized that I don't want that. I don't want you," Taylor had no idea where this sudden confidence had come from, but she was glad she had it.

Dianna on the other hand was completely losing her shit. She had never thought that this would happen. Taylor was always shy. If anyone was going to call off their engagement, it would have been Dianna.

"So, what are these for?" Dianna said pointing to the NDA's on the counter.

"These are my safety net. They basically say that you are not allowed to ever mention that we were ever in a relationship. You can't come near my family again either. You are also never allowed to use my name to score movies," Taylor's voice cracked at the last part. She had recently found out that Dianna had used her name to get a part in a movie, but she hoped that it was a false statement.

"You knew about that?"

"I had heard about it, but I didn't know it was true until you just confirmed it," She said as a tear rolled down her cheek. The last thing she expected was for Dianna to use her for fame.

"So, these documents. All I have to do is sign and that's it?" Taylor nodded.

"What if I choose not to sign it?"

"I'll take you to court."

"But I thought you wanted our relationship on the down low. Why would you take me to court if you wanted that?"

"I'll do anything to get these papers signed. If that means taking you to court then I'll take you to court. I'm sure I can get a judge that understands that I want this to be kept between us," She was crying but her confidence was still there.

"Where do I sign?" Taylor let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. When Dianna said those few words, Taylor realized that everything was really over between the two of them.
