The next morning after the bonfire and all we all got up late like 3 pm. I got a txt from my stepdad... "Hey vanna I was wondering we never got to go to a daughter and daddy dance and I thought maybe u would wanna do it again while I'm home from the army and since YA know ur father is in jail."
"That would be nice where's it at?" I texted back hearing a knock on the door.
"Goodmor-" Chris came in and was interrupted by tank running right past his foot to me.
I laughed "Goodmorning!"
"Mrs mcdonough said u can come get lunch when ur ready." he said
"Ok thanks Chris I'll be down in a sec." he smiled and headed out of the door.
I got a txt back from daddy (step father Craig) (c-daddy, v-me)
C- well there is one in Florida right now I could possibly fly in
V- u don't have to do that but if it's the cheapest and best one then that would be awesome
C- PLZ stop worrying about the price in everything I will fly in tomorrow since it's in 2 days if that's ok.
V- yes that is ok would u meet here where I am?
C- yes :)
V- ok awesome looking forward to seeing u it's been a long year! Lov u daddy

I put my phone down and headed downstairs mrs mcdonough was in the kitchen talking to mr mcdonough reading a newspaper. the door bell rang.
"ITS SIERRA!" I could hear riley shouting as mrs McDonough jumped
"We definitely did not raise him like that!" Mr mcdonough told joan( mrs McDonough)
I laughed inside.
"Good afternoon vanna" toby kissed my forehead. "hey mom hey dad!" He said
"Hey um I have a question I hope u won't be upset." I started as I sat down next to mark (mr mcdonough) on the stool. "Oh no are u leaving again?" Toby complained
"No toby um my step dad is coming home from the army but he wants to meet down here because he wants to take me to a daddy daughter dance YA know in case because YA get the point." I said
"Y would we be upset plus UR family is welcome anytime." joan said.
"Man we should have had a daughter." mark said
"Hurtful!!!" Toby said pouting.
"Well maybe u can have a turn with me next year?!" I questioned.
"That would be awesome." he said.
"I'm duh I'm still standing here and no I didn't disappear prom?!" Toby was like getting irritated.
"U will get ur chance take a chill pill and be easy on the girl u know she goes through a lot." mark said.
"Boys will be boys like everyone says." Joan said handing me a sandwich.
"Hey!" Sierra came In.
"Hey sister."-me
"Hey sister"- toby
We laughed.
"Hey sierra how r u?" Mark said.
"Hey u won't believe how much riley has talked about u." Joan says giving her a hug.
