Hiccups POV
I think I sat and cried for hours tho I know that was my brain exaggerating, the whole time I did know Astrid had hugged me, I finally stopped crying and whipped my eyes and turned to look at her, she was looking at me our eyes meeting, I coughed awkwardly and whipped my eyes again as did she, she let go fo me yet put a comforting hand on my knee,
"So..." I started,
"So..." Astrid echoed, I suddenly chuckled and she looked am me curiously and I gave her a light smile,
"Do you like ice-cream?"
Time Skip
Normal POV
Hiccup took Astrid to a local ice-cream parlour he'd found, the place and many flavours and Astrid was pretty shocked that she hadn't found this place herself years ago,
"So what flavour would you want?" Hiccup asked, Astrid took a quick look agin before nodding when she knew what she wanted,
"Strawberry please" she smiled,
"Ok sounds good," he then went to the counter and was greeted by a woman with red hair in a bun, "one strawberry ice-cream and one fish food" the woman nodded and went to work, Astrid grimace and walked up to him,
"Fish food?" She almost laughed,
"If you have a look all the ice cream is Ben & Jerry's the Ben & Jerry's fishfood ice cream is amazing it's chocolate and caramel ice cream with chocolate chips!" Hiccup smiled, Astrid giggle at how excited he sounded over ice cream,
"But why is it called fish food?" She laughed,
"You'll see" he laughed. Quickly the woman finished and handed the ice creams over to the customers,
"Hey Astrid" Astrid turned to her smiling friend, he shoved the ice cream near her face and soon she saw it, she immediately started laughing, the chocolate chips where in the shape of fish, tiny fish shaped chocolate chips,
"That's why it's called fish food ice cream?" She laughed, Hiccup laughed too and nodded, and both walked outside laughing together. When Astrid made it out the door she decided to carry out with a brave decision, she grabbed Hiccups free hand, Hiccup jumped and looked down to her hand which was now holding his, Hiccup smiled and held her hand back causing Astrid to look at him shocked only to receive a classic Hiccup dorky lopsided smile.
They walked home happy and smile, hand in hand..
Blissfully unaware that in the shadows was a certain someone watching them.
