It Had been a month since Hiccup and Astrid started dating and now they where at Astrid's house on Christmas Eve, even though it would be nice too hang out on Christmas Day they knew they would both be wanted home too celebrate the day so Astrid and Hiccup decided to compromise,
"Ok ok, my presents first!" Astrid smiled pushing her small pile of gifts to Hiccup, Hiccup smiled gently,
"Thank you" he said genuinely and took his pile and pushed towards her, "here's yours"
Astrid's smile widened grabbing what was now hers.
Hiccup opened one of his presents to immediately start giggling pulling out the fluffy cat ears,
"Care too explain?" Hiccup asked holding the cat ears accusingly, Astrid shrugged giggling,
"I don't know they just reminded me of you" she giggled, Hiccup arched a brow, "you seem like a cat person" she added, Hiccups smile grew as he turned to a half asleep Toothless,
"You hear that bud, I'm a cat person, so guess your out of the picture" Hiccup joked the the sleeping dog, Toothless grunted in response and rolled over, "big baby booo" Hiccup whined, Astrid laughed at the sight holding her side slightly.
"Ok come on open the rest of your presents" she pestered, Hiccup turned back around and began too open the other presents which consisted of a journal, a red hoodie and a wallet which Hiccup thanked Astrid for very happily,
"Ok now my turn" Astrid grinned mischievously grabbing her gifts, she looked back at Hiccup too only burst out laughing again too see he'd put the cat ears on Toothless
"Oi do not judge Toothless he is a handsome boy who is now identifying as a cat" he snarked with a smirk, Astrid smiled, she turned back to her presents and began too open, her the first box it was relatively big and she quickly realised it too be a Nike shoe box, she looked back up at Hiccup,
"You didn't"
"What if I did?"
A couple weeks ago Astrid had come in picking up her football shoes too see they where tattered and broken, she had told Hiccup that she was scared that her shoes would break because she loved them, they where a blue and had a yellow pattern that looked like scales.
Astrid opened the box and she felt a lump in her throat, never had she had someone in her life who paid so much attention that they remembered the things she loved as much too the details of what shoes she liked, and now here she was looking at her shoes which looked the same as her last but more new and shiny. Astrid dropped the box and jumped forward grabbing Hiccup hugging him,
"How did you get these?!" She cried in awe, Hiccup chuckled nervously rubbing his neck smiling,
"Well I got a job at the local mechanic"
"Gobbers?"
"Yeah"
"When where you gonna tell me this?" Astrid arched a brow, Hiccup laughed,
"Now tat you've got the shoes" Astrid smiled and hugged him again,
"Your so sweeeeet" she whined happily, Hiccuo hugged her back,
"Your welcome M,lady"
