They were brought to the nest of the Bewilderbeast and seeing that she wouldn't be going back to berk anytime soon, she nurtures Hiccup in the nest. But in a sudden and unexpected attack in the nest, she looses hiccup and he ends up alone in a forest with toothless. Now that its just the two of them, they both end up learning how to survive alone together in the wildness and living surrounded by dragons his whole life makes hiccup lose connection with the human world. But then their life takes a turn for the worse when they are captured by a man who calls himself a dragon master, forced to work for him, hiccup leads and attack on a village which leaves him grounded when toothless breaks his wing. He discovers so many things about this village and its people which change his life forever for good or for worse.

Hiccup was standing on top of the Night Fury, dagger in hand, ready to kill the beast that has brought fear to his village for years, to prove himself, and ready to earn the respect he deserves. But then, he felt a strange feeling. Then it got painful, almost as if his soul was leaving his body... Hiccup and the dragon riders are given the powers of the Infinity Stones when captured by an unknown enemy. Going out to the Edge is as much about escaping what gave them these powers as it is following the Dragon Eye. They try to learn their magic as they fight Dagur and the dragon hunters... who may have more ways to fight their new powers than they realize.
