"Do you have any fucking idea of how long we've prepared for this?" I said walking towards them as they stopped in their tracks.

"Mind your language, Miss," He replied coolly.

Every one of my workers were giving me signals to stop but I didn't budge. I was freaking mad. He didn't even have a valid reason.

"Junia please calm down..", Phoebe tried but I cut her off.

"Well, Mr Martinello, I'm sorry but I don't give two shits about my language right now," I replied pissed. "You didn't even give me a valid reason as to why you rejected this deal," I pointed out, crossing my arms.

"I've told you Miss Evans, you lack confidence and this company lacks leadership skill. It would have an effect on my reputation," he said in his stupid accent.

My brows raised. "Oh really? All you care about is your god damned reputation, you don't even care about the company," I shouted. "And you're one to talk about leadership skills. Well, with skills like yours, I bet you in a few years your company will be in ruins," I ground out.

I can't even believe I'm saying all this to him when I'm meant to be winning him over. Well, he indirectly insulted my mum so I didn't care.

"That's enough, Miss Evans," he said in an angry tone. "I can't take anymore of your nonsense. I can see you're not also mature. I was thinking of considering this company later but with all you've said today, it'll never happen. Goodbye," he ended.

And with that he left. He left and took all my hopes and expectations with him. When he left, everything I did dawned on me. I felt do dissapointed in myself.

"I'm sorry," I said apologizing to my workers. "I ruined all your hardwork, but don't lose hope, there'll still be a lot of other business deals to seal," I said assuredly.

They nodded and quietly took their leave. Only John and Phoebe stayed back.

"What happened back there?" John asked. "I've never seen you lose your cool in a business meeting, Junia."

I sighed. Well, he was right. "I really don't know. When he tried to talk down my mum's leadership skills I guess I just lost it," I said rubbing my face in frustration. "And Mr Martinello was right. I don't have enough confidence for this. It's really sad that no matter how far I've come in this business world, I still lack that confidence," I ended sadly.

I hated that I wasn't confident enough for anything.

"Don't say that Junia," Phoebe tried to console.

I gave them a wry smile. "I'll talk to my mum about my position as the MD. I don't have the right to hold it anymore. I think she'll give it to you John," I said staring at him.
