Chapter 2

The next morning Shehnaaz woke up with the sound of the door bell. She got up with groggy eyes and rubbed them as she started walking towards the main door to open it.

"Sudha didi aaj bhindi ki sabzi aur roti banana. Ayesha bhi dabba leke jayegi to uss hisaab se banana. Aur breakfast ke liye parathe bana do please. Chai ke liye paani rakho bartan mein. Main aati hoon fresh hoke" Shehnaaz instructed the maid in a sleepy voice.

"Ji didi. Main chai chadha deti hoon. Aap aaram se taiyar ho jao." Sudha said.

"Thank you!" exclaimed Shehnaaz with a smile and walked towards the bedroom.

She put her phone on charging and walked into the bathroom to take a shower.

"Ayeshu uth jaa. Jaa ke naha le. Court nahi jaana kya aaj tujhe?" Shehnaaz tried waking up Ayesha.

"Yaar Sanu! Yeh Monday kyun aata hai yaar?" Ayesha whined as she got out of bed.

"Sabki band bajane ke liye." Shehnaaz said as she chuckled.

"Jaldi ready hojaa. Fir saath mein nashta karte hai." Shehnaaz said while walking towards the prayer area in the adjoining room to offer her daily prayers.

"Sudha didi, bahut ache bane hai parathe." Ayesha complimented as they had breakfast.

"Sana didi se hi seekha hai Ayesha didi. Inke jitne ache toh nahi bante par pehle se toh kaafi sudharne lage hai. Mera gharwala bhi khush hogaya hai. Main usko alag alag sab banake khilati hoon na didi se seekh ke." Sudha replied while dusting the house.

"Blessing hai yaar Sudha didi. Roz aati hai without fail aur kabhi thoda extra kaam bhi ho toh crib nahi karti. She's my lifeline. Warna sab karna padta to main office kabhi pahuchti hi nahi." Shehnaaz said as she gobbled up the paratha.

"Sanu I'm waiting ki kab tu tera khud ka restaurant kholegi. Main to wahin pade rahungi poora din aur kha kha ke moti hojaungi." Ayesha said.

"Ayesha tujhe toh pata hi hai, it's just been three years since I started saving. Uske pehle ka to sab kuch..." Shehnaaz trailed off.

"Jaanti hoon. Your dream will definitely come true." Ayesha spoke with a smile as she held Shehnaaz's hand.

Shehnaaz smiled and said "I know. Ab jaldi kar warna HR manager hi late hogayi office ke liye to saare employees ko late aane ka bahana mill jayega."

"I am so angry at you Rishabh. Tumhare paas aajkal mere liye kabhi waqt nahi hota hai. Raat raat tak kaam kar rahe hote ho. Aur aaj itne din baad finally kuch time nikala toh usmein bhi instead of spending time with each other, hum tumhare friend ko receive karne airport jaa rahe hai. Wow! Amazing!" whined Ayesha as she fastened the seatbelt.

"Ayesha yaar please baby. I've known him for years. He's a really close friend and a very nice person. Tum usse milogi na to I'm sure you'll like him." Rishabh said.

Ayesha frowned and then asked "How do you know him?"

"We were together in college. He's born and brought up in Mumbai only. But then uske dad ki death ke baad his mom didn't want to stay in Mumbai so she left for Allahabad to stay with his Dadi. His elder sister was already married and settled in Delhi. He stayed back here to complete his education..."

"Oh so he's a Mumbai guy only?" Ayesha asked cutting Rishabh mid sentence.

"Yaa yaa totally. Mumbai uske nass nass mein hai. After studies usko Delhi mein ek acha job mill gaya so he moved there. We stayed in touch. Fir six months back jab mein company ke project ke kaam se Delhi gaya tha, that's where we caught up. Hum dono ko hi business karna tha and we both have been saving up for it. The time was right so we started working on our plan and bank se loan mill gaya. So it's time to set up everything and get things rolling." Rishabh explained.
