alysia's pov

"baby," billie cooed in a sing-song voice. "wake up."

i slowly opened my eyes, letting them adjust to the light. i brought my hands up to my eyes and rubbed at them slightly before sitting up and looking at billie. she had a tray of food in her lap and she smiled brightly at me as she said "good morning, angel."

"good morning, baby." i smiled back.

"i got this for you," she said, moving the tray of food to my own lap. "happy six months, cutie."

"happy six months," i echoed, leaning over to plant a quick kiss on her lips. "thank you for this."

"you're welcome."

i looked down at the tray of food, choosing to eat the pancakes first. before i took a bite though, i asked billie "what are we doing today? or is it a surprise?"

after a somewhat heated discussion, we'd decided that billie got to choose what we did today, though i would get to pick what we did on the next couple dates we went on.

"well i figured that since we both haven't really had a day to just relax in a while, and partly because i have no idea where the fuck we're at," she started, though she mumbled the last part. "that it would be nice if we stayed inside. we can build a pillow fort, watch netflix, and just cuddle or some shit. i don't know. now that i'm actually saying it out loud it sounds kinda stupid."

i shut her rambling up with a kiss, pulling back after a few seconds. "i'd love that, bubbie."

she smiled that cute smile of her's that i've fallen in love with. "alright, then, yeah, we're staying inside and building a pillow fort and all that shit."

-

billie is not good at building pillow forts.

it's almost been an hour of trying to make one, and she somehow finds a way to knock it down.

i tossed a pillow at her, careful of it to not knock down the little progress we had made. "put that on that corner." i pointed to the corner that was on her left.

she nodded and did as told, propping it up to better the corner. she looked back up with me, a proud smile on her face. i laughed softly before continuing to prop pillows up, making a rectangle-like shape.

soon enough, we had all the pillows set up and now all that was left was to do was to put the blankets on the top. i got one of the stools that's in the hotel room and put it in the middle of the fort. billie handed me a few blankets and i propped them all up over the pillows and put them on the stool. billie then handed me a few things to put on the stool and over the blankets to keep it in place.

after that, we grabbed two pillows, another blanket, and billie's laptop, placed them in the fort, then crawled in. as we were carefully setting everything up, billie said "i never knew i was so ass at building forts," which made me burst into laughter.

after i had calmed down, i patted her head. "it's okay, bil, i've had years of experience. me and the twins used to make them all the time."

"don't patronize me." she grumbled.

i laughed again as i opened her laptop and typed in her password. i turned to face her. "what are we watching?"
