Izuku chugged his drink then slammed the glass down with a relieved sigh. Tomura just grinned at him.

"He was heavy." Izuku moaned. "Why did I have to carry the body? Couldn't Kurogiri just portal him like normal?"

Tomura laughed. "That's what you get for randomly promising to kill people."

Izuku groaned again, slamming his head into the bar. Tomura just grinned, sipping his own drink.

"Well we now have Shoto Todoroki on our side and we don't have to worry about Endeavour anymore. Also," Izuku looked up at Tomura with an innocent smile, "I have a little request..."

Shoto took his seat at the back of the classroom, not talking to anyone, though he heard his name being thrown around the room.

"Apparently Endeavour was found dead last night."

"Yeah, they think that it was Stain that killed him."

"Stain must be really strong to gave taken down Endeavour."

"What about Todoroki? Endeavour's his dad."

"Oh, yeah. I didn't even think about him. And did you hear the thing about Iida as well?"

"His brother was killed almost a year ago, right?"

"Uh huh, but they think that Stain killed him as well."

"Woah, that's scary!"

Shoto glanced up at his classmates. None of them made a move to talk to him, maybe they though he wanted to be left alone. They were right.

He couldn't help but wonder how Izuku would respond. He had mentioned before that he was the one to kill Ingenium, meaning that at least two of his killed had now been blamed on Stain. He had said about Tomura's hatred of Stain, but Shoto couldn't help but wonder what Izuku thought of him.

"Shoto!"

The classroom door was thrown open and a familiar face peered in. Izuku spotted Shoto and ran over to him. He bent over, breathing heavily.

"Sorry, I... ran all the way from the... train station... I heard about your... dad..."

Uraraka and Iida were the first to approach the two.

"Hey, Midoriya." Uraraka sounded disappointed as she greeted him. Izuku realised that this was the first time he had spoken to her since the sports festival. He hadn't even thought to text her (granted, he had been too busy trying to deal with Endeavour's body). She was probably sad that he seemed to have chosen Shoto over her.

He decided to ignore it.

"Hey, Uraraka, Iida." He looked at Iida, who hadn't yet spoken. The blue haired boy seemed angry. "Uh, are you okay, Iida?"

Iida shook himself and smiled at Izuku, just like normal. "Yes, I'm fine. I am, however, worried about Todoroki. I understand what it's like to lose family, so you can talk to me whenever you need. You can talk to any of us."

Shoto just stared at the desk, not saying anything for a moment before looking up at Iida. "Why would I need to talk to you? Nothing's wrong. I'm just happy I don't have to live with him anymore."

Iida and Uraraka both tended up. Iida was the first to respond. "What do you mean by that?"

"Y-yeah," Uraraka backed him up, "He's your dad, why would you be happy?"

Izuku placed a hand on Shoto's shoulder and whispered to him. Shoto looked back at him and nodded. Izuku looked around the classroom and took Iida and Uraraka outside.

"Hey, Midoriya, do you know what that was about?" Izuku nodded and took a deep breath.

"Sh-shoto's father, Endeavour, was a-abusive. Shoto and his siblings will be... s-safer without him around."

Iida looked appalled. "What do you mean!? Endeavour was one of the top heroes in the country!"

Izuku sighed and told them the whole story, about Shoto's scar and Endeavour's training. By the time he was finished, both Uraraka and Iida looked disgusted.

"A pro hero shouldn't act that way!"

"His own family..."

Izuku nodded slowly. "Y-yeah, I know."

It was a while before any of them spoke again.

"So, where's he going now? With what you said about his mother..."

"He's staying with me for a while since the police are searching his house but then his sister will become his legal guardian."

They all nodded then fell into uncomfortable silence.

"Uh, sorry, but I have to go to my class now." Izuku excused himself, leaving the two hero students alone.

So far, everything had been how he expected. People were so predictable. They always acted the same after "tradgic" events like this.

People are so boring.

However, there was one thing Izuku couldn't have predicted, or maybe he could if he had paid more attention.

He took his seat, in his own classroom, ignoring the empty desk next to him, like normal, while his classmates chatted, of course, all about what happened to Endeavour. Why would they be talking about anything else?

He started flipping through his homework, checking it was all done and correcting a few if his answers. Noone in his class paid attention to him. They had congratulated him on getting so far in the festival, but he had made it clear he wasn't interested in being friends so they just ignored him, generally.

The door opened, but Izuku didn't look up. He had no reason to. Probably just another student, he thought. And he was right.

The person who had entered walked over to Izuku's desk and tapped it, getting his attention. Noone in his class tried to get his attention, unless they were asking when the homework was due. He just sighed.

"The english homework is due tomorrow, if that's what you were wondering."

The person just laughed, a laugh that send a shiver down Izuku's spine. Not because it seemed malicious, in fact, a malicious cackle would have been more comforting than the laugh he heard.

He gently closed his notebook and looked up at the person in front of him, who looked back down at him with a lazy grin.

"Hey Midoriya." Shinso said calmly. "Been a while."
