=INTRODUCTION=

Hello and welcome to my newest book,

You, the Moon and Me

Okay, so if you haven't noticed yet, this book is playing in an alternate universe (AU). The, drumroll please, OMEGAVERSE!!

That's why I'm writing an introduction, telling y'all the basics you need to know for this book as well as introducing the characters by Status, etc.

Okay, so basically:

Alpha:
- strongest in the hierarchy
- mostly male, female alphas are rare
- red eyes in wolf form or if half shifted
- every pack's leader is an alpha
- can Bond with Betas and omegas, but bonds between alphas and betas rarely happen
- have stronger senses than the lower ranks
- there are alphas more powerful than any other of their kind, which is called "true alpha" (it happens when a female and male alpha mate and yanno, get kids)

Beta:

- mostly alike to humans
- yellow eyes in wolf form or if half shifted
- live in packs too but don't really bond
- the most neutral of all

Omega:

- lowest rank in the hierarchy, even under betas
- blue eyes in wolf form or if half shifted
- female AND male omegas can get pregnant
- male omegas are the rarest kind of all, rarer than female alphas
- there can be "true omega"s also, but that's as rare as a true alpha
- male omegas can get pregnant too, but they DO NOT have a vagina and a dick in my story because it just doesn't fit into my imagination

Important terms to know:

- rut: happens to alphas, a phase where they get high libido and want to pounce on the nearest omega most of the time

- heat: happens to omegas, a phase where they also get high libido and just whimper for an alpha to take them, mate with them and impregnate them (kinda like female dogs in their heat)

- bond: happens when an alpha marks his beta, a special link between the souls of an omega and their alpha

- mate: most likely the one you bond with, someone destined to be with you till you die

- mark: when an alpha marks an omega, they pierce the scent glands of an omega with their fangs, mixing their scents and therefore becoming mates

- luna: the male/female mate or respectably wife/husband of the pack leader

- lunar goddess: the divine being who chooses your mate for you, directing every wolf's destiny, etc etc (basically like a god)

Okay whew, I hope this wasn't too much to take in. And I KNOW that everyone has a different perception of the omegaverse, but this is mine and I hope it doesn't bother you too much. So, let's get started with the characters!
