"Incoming call  from My MF🩸"

"BITCH YOU SAID YO NAME IS MY WHO?" Blizz yelled into the phone, I tried to hold in my laugh but couldn't

"and you think that shit funny, big bubble buddy ass" he spat "okayyyy play boiii" I fell out laughing on my couch. "anyway" I said wiping a tear from my eye "you know I was playing but drive over here, what that lil boy innat video said? PULL UP ON MEEEEH" we both laughed "Aight, one" he said hanging up

"nigga swear he sincere" i laughed to myself, thinking back to when we were kids, at my house in Texas. thinking back to our last time there

somewhere in Houston, Texas

"mori what's wrong?" I asked as I watched him pacing back and forth

"man I gotta wait till my mama come to say anything, just pack all your stuff up" he said, sounding really hurt

"she's coming all the way from Brooklyn?" I asked "mori you called her? man I told you my momma just be out sometimes we cool" I sucked my teeth, sometimes my mom would stay out days at a time. So I didn't really see the problem she had only been gone a few hours

"what is you talking about, I didn't call nobody. my mama called me, told me something and now I just can't tell you til she get here" he said with a distraught look on his face

I'd never seen my cousin like this before, my heart started to race as he began to cry. even though I was older Jackson was always the one to be strong through everything.

"mori, why can't you tell me? I thought you was sin and I was bundy come on" I pleaded with him. not knowing the news would hurt me forever

As he let the tears cascade down his face, he sniffled and looked over at me. but before he got the chance to say what was on his mind the 10 o'clock news started to broadcast on the TV

"Nerae Wallace-Bennett was fatally shot and  pronounced dead at a gruesome scene this evening, witnesses say the suspect fled on foot after claiming an innocent life and leaving two victims in critical condition. We were told they are currently fighting for their lives right now at Houston Methodist" the news caster spoke
